Hello, Van Loon!

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Immagini di Milano[edit]

Ciao, ho fatto delle modifiche ai tuoi file, come puoi vedere nella cronologia dei miei interventi. In particolare ho aggiunto le date corrette (in cui la foto è stata scattata, non caricata!) e le categorie.
In generale, possono essere caricate le vecchie foto di cui è scaduto il diritto d'autore, vale a dire quelle scattate più di 100 anni fa.--Friedrichstrasse (talk) 09:59, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Per le categorie, quando carichi un immagine, a un certo punto della procedura salterà fuori "Aggiungi categoria"; altrimenti, la puoi aggiungere successivamente modificando il file, come ho fatto io con i tuoi file. Ti ricordo che le categorie sono in inglese e al 99% dei casi esistono già. Per i dubbi, chiedi pure.--Friedrichstrasse (talk) 12:02, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Sui file nuovi ho capito come si fa. Su quelli già caricati invece ho trovato le "tag" delle categorie ma non so come modificarle. Ho imparato invece a sistemare la data. PS - Ho scoperto che si possono caricare immagini anche su Wikipedia, che forse è più elastica sulle licenze. C'è una differenza fra caricare lì o qua? La differenza è che le immagini caricate su wiki non verranno mai viste dai non italofoni e, cosa molto più importante, non possono essere categorizzate. Ti consiglio, viste le regole, di caricare qui quelle molto vecchie (teoricamente precedenti il 1912, ma siamo elastici...), e su it.wiki quelle meno vecchie ("non artistiche, e di età maggiore di 20 anni").--Friedrichstrasse (talk) 21:15, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ho fatto altre correzioni alle immagini che hai caricato:

l'utente che le ha caricate su SSC non è l'autore delle foto, se vuoi puoi metterlo nel campo Source/Fonte;
non esiste una categoria "Lost Milan": la categoria corretta è "Demolished buildings in Milan", da usarsi ovviamente solo nel caso di edifici demoliti;
infine, ricordati di inserire la categoria che riporta l'anno dello scatto: ad esempio "1908 in Milan". Se non sai l'anno preciso, ma solo il decennio, metti ad esempio "Milan in the 1910s". Se non sai nemmeno il decennio, la categoria corretta è "Historical images of Milan".

Che lavoraccio che ti sei messo a fare! Ti ringrazio, adesso per le prossime faccio come mi hai detto. "Lost Milan" mi era venuto pensando a una vecchia pubblicazione sulla Londra Sparita, chiamata appunto "Lost London". Un'ultima curiosità a questo punto rimuovendo il nome di chi materialmente ha condiviso la foto, come mi consigli di caricarle su Commons a livello di licenze? Fin'ora non so se hai notato ma sceglievo sempre l'ultima della prima voce, in pratica totale rinuncia ai diritti sulla foto mi sembra. Perché un anno fa avevo chiesto di disattivare il profilo, quindi aprirne un altro risulta come "evasione del blocco infinito". Non hanno clemenza verso di me perché ho contribuito massicciamente anche da anonimo, purtroppo lasciandomi trascinare in discussioni violente da un utente napoletano che ha sfasciato tutte le voci dei trasporti di quella città. Le mie continue segnalazioni al progetto trasporti (da anonimo) non hanno mai avuto effetto (esempio)--Friedrichstrasse (talk) 20:04, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, vedo che comunque il blocco è stato imposto automaticamente, quindi per una volta questo non è voluto...

Perché il progetto trasporti vada così, è una bella domanda: dovresti chiederlo ai tre utenti che vi partecipano! Ah, questa era un'altra segnalazione che avevo fatto: come al solito mi prendo gli insulti e nessuno interviene...

Qui avevo posto un problema di organizzazione delle voci: nessuno interviene, in compenso nella pagina di discussione della voce intervengono tre IP (con ogni probabilità si tratta di un noto utente del progetto, sloggato), che tentano di imporre la loro visione delle cose, totalmente errata.

Qui altra mia segnalazione e consueta risposta a base di insulti da parte del napoletano. Nessuno interviene.

Qui vengo insultato e definito "l'essenza del campanilismo" e "quell'essere" e "il solito energumeno". Nessuno, ovviamente prende provvedimenti...

Tempo fa avevo disegnato una mappa della metropolitana di Napoli (questa), subito rimossa, perché era falsa, piena di errori, schifosa, eccetera. Nessuno è intervenuto per difendermi. Adesso compare questa, evidentemente meno chiara, che però va benissimo.

La stazione di Napoli Gianturco, nonostante la discussione, continua a cambiare nome e diventare semplicemente "Gianturco". L'avevo segnalato al progetto trasporti (qui) prendendomi in cambio un blocco.

Poi c'è un altro utente, che evidentemente mi sogna la notte, che dopo non aver scritto nulla da lungo tempo salta fuori con questo messaggio, un attacco personale in piena regola, e del tutto ingiustificato (a cosa si riferisse, non è chiaro); nessuno è intervenuto. Lo stesso utente ha da sempre un comportamento problematico, per dirne una basta vedere questa mia segnalazione (e tutti gli altri utenti non entrano MAI nel merito della questione, ma mi rimproverano perché creo – io! – un'atmosfera di tensione.

Qui lo stesso utente Anthos, dopo essersi inventato di sana pianta delle fonti, mi accusa di "vandalismi". Qui la stessa cosa, vengo attaccato dal catanese Anthos, dal napoletano Musicante91 e da un IP. Evidenzio la loro provenienza perché entrambi esplodono quando qualcuno modifica le voci delle loro città.

Qui io e l'ottimo Moliva tentiamo di spiegare pacatamente le questioni, e la risposta è che devo "starmene fermo".

Beh, forse dovrei essere io a fare le segnalazioni e a chiedere i check-user, ma sono qui per contribuire all'enciclopedia, non certo per farmi degli amici o dei nemici. Se ti racconto la questione è per farti capire la situazione...

Riguardo a Photorail, non sono del tutto sicuro: da quello che ho capito, possono essere caricate solo le foto scattate da Stefano Paolini. Ti comunico che sono stato di nuovo bloccato in infinito. Un amministratore (Larry Yuma), dopo ripetute minacce, è passato ai fatti. Credo proprio che non scriverò mai più su it.wiki, e nemmeno su commons. Si vedano gli attacchi che ho ricevuto sulla mia pagina di discussione, e che ho prontamente cancellato ("Per quel che vedo, su it.wiki, pur essendo tu un utente esperto, qualsiasi cosa fai è fonte di grane. Avendo intuito che sei una persona intelligente, non posso pensare altro se non che la cosa sia voluta. Avrai i tuoi motivi, ma se permetti la cosa mi fa parecchio incazzare, e ritengo che al momento meno ti muovi sul ns0 della it.wiki meglio è."). Hmm, e poi ci sarebbe da sistemare questa categoria, come fare? Se ho ben capito, non vi sono serie diverse di elettrotreni, ma solo lotti contrassegnati dall'anno di costruzione. A pagina 106 l'edificio viene elencato così: Luca Beltrami, Sede della Banca Commerciale (1918-1927), ora Ragioneria municipale, Piazza della Scala 3.
A pagina 101 un breve paragrafo recita:

Archivio del moderno di Mendrisio[edit]

Ho visto che hai caricato alcune immagini, che però sono decisamente troppo piccole e illeggibili. Perché invece non scrivi direttamente a questo archivio, e proponi loro di caricare almeno in parte le immagini a Commons, con dimensioni utili alla visualizzazione? Depositi ATM di Milano[edit]

Mah, come al solito ci vogliono fonti, e per la verità non condivido il metodo di creare voci "collettive" in attesa che qualcuno decida di ampliarle, perché non succederà mai.
Ti consiglio di procurarti i libri sull'argomento, e utilizzare quelli come fonti. Ad esempio Fuori porta in tram di Giovanni Cornolò, Ermanno Albertelli editore, 1980, che contiene una mole enorme di informazioni.
Da questo libro ti riporto un passaggio a pagina 146: "1929 - Costruzione della rimessa di via Padova n. 112 a Milano (Deposito Molino Nuovo) con uno sviluppo di 2.850 m di binario, e della annessa casa di abitazione (Edison). L'area totale di proprietà S.T.E.L. era di 23.840 m², dei quali 23.600 recintati, e di questi 3.810 m² costituivano l'area coperta".
E alle pp. 271-272: "Con l'eliminazione del Crescenzago, l'ultima linea ormai transitante da Via Padova, anche il deposito di Molino Nuovo venne abbandonato dai mezzi tranviari, e trasformato gradualmente in deposito d'autobus. I rotabili delle tranvie dell'Adda vennero in parte ricoverati al deposito urbano di Via Leoncavallo, ed in parte nell'ampliato deposito di Gorgonzola". Si intende l'eliminazione della tranvia Milano-Crescenzago, trasformata in autolinea il 16 maggio 1960.

Anche per i depositi della metropolitana è possibile trovare informazioni dettagliate e affidabili: la società MM pubblicava regolarmente opuscoli di descrizioni tecniche delle tratte della rete, ogni volta che veniva attivato un prolungamento.

Depositi ATM[edit]

In riferimento ai dubbi di enciclopedicità esposti su it.wiki, ti faccio notare che abbiamo una categoria apposita, piena di voci, tutte casualmente del Sud, tutte scritte dallo stesso utente, e tutte senza fonti (la bibliografia non è pertinente), redatte probabilmente sulla base di ricordi personali, come è uso di quell'utente.
Ora, io non so se effettivamente i depositi di Milano possano essere tutti considerati enciclopedici, ma come al solito si usano due pesi e due misure, favorendo come sempre i soliti noti.--Friedrichstrasse (talk) 12:09, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

La solita vecchia polemica dell'analogia... Questa regola vale per dire che se un utente conosce bene la rete tranviaria di Milano, può inserire una voce per ogni modello di vettura tranviaria che vi ha circolato, senza attendere che un utente esperto di Roma faccia lo stesso per quella città. Invece lì dentro ci sono alcuni utenti che credono di essere meglio degli altri a causa del loro curriculum, contraddicendo la regola fondamentale che vieta le ricerche originali. Mah!

Le voci che trattano delle vetture ATM non riportano precisamente tutte le linee su cui sono state impiegate, quindi non è indispensabile; d'altra parte non mi pare nemmeno un ingiusto rilievo, quindi ci può stare benissimo.
Sull'intitolazione delle voci dei Translohr, io personalmente preferisco che rimangano citate come tranvie: Translohr è il nome commerciale del sistema, e quindi scrivere "Translohr di Padova" sarebbe come dire "VAL di Torino" (anziché "Metropolitana di Torino").
Concordo che le voci sulle reti storiche vadano tenute distinte, visto che quelle nuove non sono inquadrabili nella categoria delle ricostruzioni, ma sono sistemi completamente nuovi: oltre a Palermo, abbiamo anche questa voce distinta da questa.--Friedrichstrasse (talk) 09:40, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
