@Herzi Pinki: : Danke, an das habe ich nicht gedacht - bin zwar schon vor längerer Zeit einmal kurz über diese Meldung gestolpert, aber wieder vergessen :-( Da kann man jetzt wahrscheinlich nichts mehr machen? Upload Problem

Irgendwas ist bei den letzten Uploads von der Erzbergbahn schief gegangen, falsche Vorlage 65 für die Sprache. [1]. Hast du eine Idee, wie das zustandegekommen ist? Hast du über die Denkmallisten oder über die WikiDaheim app hochgeladen? Ich würde das Problem gerne fixen bevor noch mehr hineinlaufen. @Herzi Pinki: Das habe ich übersehen, dass der Parameter nicht richtig umgesetzt wurde, obwohl ich manuell im Hochladeassistenten auf "Deutsch" umgeschaltet habe. Danke fürs Nacharbeiten! Vielen Dank für Deine Teilnahme am Wettbewerb zu WikiDaheim! Von Ende Juli bis Anfang Oktober wurden so insgesamt mehr als 7.000 Bilder hochgeladen und viele Ort in Österreich in der Wikipedia und anderen Projekten mit neuen Bildern versehen, was nur dank der vielen Beiträge wie Deinem möglich war.

Die 561 besten Bilder wurden in den letzten Wochen von einer Vorjury ausgesucht, die Du dir hier anschauen kannst - vielleicht sind auch Bilder von Dir dabei! :-) Eine Jury wird nun bis Mitte November die zehn besten Bilder aussuchen, die Preisträger werden danach von uns verständigt.

Nochmals vielen Dank für Deine Beiträge. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Du auch in Zukunft die Wikimedia-Projekte bebilderst! Im 2. Halbjahr 2018 wird WikiDaheim wahrscheinlich wieder stattfinden - wir würden uns freuen, wenn du dann wieder dabei wärst :-) Solltest Du Fragen haben, so kannst Du Dich gerne an wikidaheimwikimedia.at wenden.

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2017 is open!

Dear TheRunnerUp,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2017.

Round 2 will end on 22 July 2018, 23:59 UTC.

@ Kritzolina: Gerne geschehen. Das Bild hat vermutlich Seltenheitswert, weil wegen Lockdown und Schlechtwetter praktisch keine anderen Leute dort waren. Sobald es die Zeit erlaubt, kommen weitere Bilder von Torcelle (und natürlich auch Burano).

Oh, dann werde ich ab und an mal in deine Uploads schauen. Irgendwo auf einer alten Festplatte müsste ich auch noch Bilder haben .. aber das ist lange her, da muss ich suchen! Wiki Loves Earth 2022 - Deutschland

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. Mai bis zum 31. Mai 2022 findet zum zehnten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth statt. Deutschland ist bereits zum neunten Mal dabei. Dabei können unter anderem Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Seit dem vergangenen Jahr ist der Wettbewerb zweigeteilt, das heißt wir unterscheiden zwischen den beiden Bereichen Landschaft und Detail/Makro. Zu Landschaft zählen auch geschützte Einzelbäume. Im Bereich Detail/Makro werden Pflanzen, Tiere und Pilze bewertet.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben Naturdenkmälern wie alten Bäumen oder Naturparks im Gebirge und am Meer können Geotope wie Findlinge, Quellen und Aufschlüsse oder FFH-Gebiete fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. Auch im vergangenen Jahr sind zahlreiche neue Listen und Artikel in diesen Bereichen entstanden, für die wir uns über Fotos freuen - zum Beispiel in Bayern Liste der Naturdenkmäler im Landkreis Würzburg oder in Sachsen Liste der Naturdenkmale in Stollberg/Erzgeb.

Als Einstieg für die Suche nach Motiven hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du bei WLE 2022 – Deutschland und unter dieser Anleitung.

In diesem Jahr feiert die FFH-Richtlinie ihren 30. Geburtstag. Aus diesem Grund vergeben wir fünf Sonderpreise für die Fotografen, die die meisten FFH-Gebiete fotografieren.

Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, vom 1. Mai bis 30. Juni 2022 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Damit bewertest du die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelst so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Juli tagen wird, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Earth 2022 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist bald hier freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.

The campaign invites participants to document photographs, videos, and audios linked to folk culture and fit within the contest's theme. Through this campaign, you may become a part of a community dedicated to preserving our intangible culture, which has been brought and passed down for thousands of years.

How to Contribute?

The dates for the submission in the photography contest on Wikimedia Commons are from 1 February to 31 March 2023. Probably you are wondering how you can take part. Dabei können wie immer Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler oder andere Schutzgebiete fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Wir vergeben in diesem Jahr drei Sonderpreise für Fotos von Feldrainen und Feldgehölzen in geschützten Gebieten.
