Then do one thing. Delete all the files from commons. If this is not enough, then delete commons.

@George Simon Ohm please give me. I shall be happy to nominate the files that are wrongly licensed. And just to tell you I haven't deleted them. I just nominated them. @George Simon Ohm, the problem is the source website does not say the images are released under the GODL. It's not mentioned anywhere on their website. On other Indian government websites, it's clearly stated. There's a couple of discussions about this on the template talk page for the license, I'd suggest asking there. You can also ask at Commons:Village_pump/Copyright. The issue I've seen raised in several places is that parliament is not part of the government, and so if not explicitly regulated under the law, it's not included. It would be really, really, really nice if the Indian government / parliament would change their website to explicitly say it's included and I really hope those image are supposed to be covered by the GODL, but right now every piece of evidence says they are not. Can I take permission from the individual personally beside sending email. I've whatsapp no of some MPs like Adhir, Raghav etc. Or can I upload WhatsApp sending pictures in place. George Simon Ohm (talk) 18:01, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

@George Simon Ohm, Permission would need to come from the copyright holder. Copyright generally is with the person taking the picture, not the subject, or whoever hired the photographer. In this case, it's probably most likely with the legislature itself, and that's where the permission would need to come from. Please don't take images from WhatsApp - those are going to be copyrighted and will not have a license compatible with Commons, just like nearly every other image you find online. @George Simon Ohm in simple words you jave to take the permission from the copyright holder where you take the photo from. Like those pictures were taken from parliament website. @George Simon Ohm Learn to read. Open Data Portal is a link to other website. Copyright info is given in Privacy Policy section. And I and @Ravensfire, already told you to ask for permission via email because that is the only way possible to upload them here. Anways, I just nominated it. Some admin deleted it. @George Simon Ohm There is nothing like yours are deleted fast and others aren't. Admins delete whenever they get time and are satisfied that the file violates the copyright rules. And as I told you that is still here because it is still unreviewed. But now I have nominated it for Speedy Deletion. Something to consider, George Simon Ohm, when you look at the profile for the member, there's a disclaimer that the source is not india.gov.in, but is sansad.in. You really should be looking at the true source of the data, which includes the portrait. It would be much simpler to see something like what's on the US House of Representatives site - [1]. Pretty clear there. Let's take some time to actually get this figured out and avoid further drama. Everyone here would like to be able to use the images, but we have to be careful about copyright and be 100% sure that an image is allowed. For these images, that's just not the case. I don't have connection with that account. I even don't know whose account is it. I am unable to talk with any admin in Wikipedia. Please save me and help me to unblock. @Tushar3011 No not at all. Every picture is copyrighted. You need to take permission from them via email (which is very unlikely) to use the file. Like only work by Government of India is allowed here. Work by Parliament of India or and Legislative assembly isn't allowed. Please learn copyright and licensing and then only use commons. I did not clicked any images. The images that I uploaded were clicked by photographers hired by the government and uploaded either by PIB or by PMO. They have a license which allows its upload on Commons known as GODL-India therefore they are uploaded. If you see those images they are licensed accordingly. Subset of another category

Hi, thanks for your edit on Category:Annamalai Kuppusamy. Since I had already added Category:Bharatiya Janata Party politicians of Tamil Nadu to the above mentioned category and since Category:Bharatiya Janata Party politicians of Tamil Nadu, in turn, is a subset of (ie. it belongs to) Category:Bharatiya Janata Party politicians, there is no need for Category:Bharatiya Janata Party politicians to be added to Category:Annamalai Kuppusamy.
