Bot Retirement

Hi Maarten, would you mind providing me access to the tool labs tool which CategorizationBot ran under? Also, I asked some question on the Village Pump but it would be not very surprising if you prefer not to answer there. Thanks in advance and all the best -- Rillke(q?) 12:19, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi Rillke, I'm happy to see that someone is willing to invest time in this. I added you to the "catbot" group. Login to toollabs and do "become catbot" to enter the account. If you look at the crontab "crontab -l" you'll find a quite extensive, but completely commented out crontab. The only jobs that could currently run are the two tag uncategorized files jobs and the statistics job. The uncategorized job is imageuncat.py in compat. Looks like someone ported that one to core too so you should be able to switch to core. Please use "!log tools.catbot I broke it" in #wikimedia-labs to update https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:Tools.catbot/SAL . If you fire up the bot, can you please update the operator template at User:CategorizationBot so people know to contact you? Multichill (talk) 19:40, 7 July 2015 (UTC)

Still elaborating whether there is a) the need for running it and the kind of functionality b) how much time I'll have to invest and c) whether I want to use Python or whether I port it to another language. Erfgoedbot

Use of image of the Aula at Delft University

Dear Multichill,

I am very keen to use this great image of the Aula in a book we are putting together for a London-based book publishers: Overzicht van de voorgevel met entree - Delft - 20399209 - RCE.jpg

Could you advise whether we are ok to use it, so long as it is credited correctly, under creative commons?

Hi Laura, great to see that you're interested in this image. This image is part of a larger collection by the Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed. You should mention "Collectie Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed, Amersfoort, 413.519 / cc-by-sa-4.0". The original is on their website. You can order a much higher resolution version there for 5 Euro just click the "bestel deze afbeelding". I just (re)read their rights page and they would love to have a copy of your publication for their (quite extensive) library. Multichill (talk) 18:17, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
