Hello, Multichill!

Sorry for disturbing you as I've already posted to the pwb bugtracker (link) but I can't leave it pending in the tracker without trying to solve the problem somehow in a quicker way :) I've moved thousands of images from ru.wiki in 2009-2010 but afterwards Toolserver's commonshelper stopped working with cyrillic descriptions; but now I've noticed that Labs version works correctly! That's why I kindly ask you to update the script for Labs usage as you were the main script maintainer and this would help me to continue image uploads to Commons. WLM question

What do you think about the idea to store WLM lists on Wikidata instead of Wikipedia? Can your scripts and bots deal with them? I wrote my suggestion here.--Anatoliy (talk) 13:26, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

I am not Maarten, but isn't this to soon? If you enter the data in wikidata, you also want to be able to generate the lists on wikipedia, where the information then can be found. So while I think this in the end the way to go, we should wait till phase 3 is done. Akoopal (talk) 17:50, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

{{On Wikidata}}

Hi Multichill. I think, the template {{On Wikidata}} can be used as a good temporary surrogate for missing interwiki connection of Commons categories (pages) to Wikidata. The template is very simple and is not widely used for now but if anybody will improve it, the template can help to coordinate Commons with Wikidata (mutual links) and this proposed parser function could allow to replace interwikis with this Wikidata link. Generally, a typical Commons category should have two Wikidata links: to article item and to the corresponding category item.
