User:DrTrigonBot and other categorization stuff

Hello Multichill

Some time ago I have noticed User:Multichill/Using OpenCV to categorize files and added some notes in order to finally start such a bot by myself... ;) I would be cool if we could somehow coordinate our work. I do not think of merging the bots (even thought this can be considered too) but draw some benefit out of discussions and else... What do you think?

The other (somehow related) questions is: Could you please explain to me (or document in general) the usage of the {{Check categories}} template? I am trying to use it like this: 

{{Check categories|year=2012|month=June|day=30|category=[[Category:Categorized by DrTrigonBot]]}}

...

[[Category:Categorized by DrTrigonBot]]

...but figured out (or got the impression) that this might be wrong... at least I do not know what it is actually doing? It looks like it removes the template on the first line and keeps all categories at the page end unaffected. So could you explain it to me please?

Revisiting uncategorized files categories

I think will be good idea it categorization bot will check files in old categories and check if categories were added but {{Uncategorized}} was not removed. I spotted such mistakes made by newbies. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:52, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Images from geography.org.uk

Hi multichill,

some time ago you created Category:Images_from_the_Geograph_British_Isles_project_needing_categories_by_date. I think this is useless and only fills up the "uncategorized by date" category. The Images are also in Category:Images from the Geograph British Isles project needing categories by grid square, what is IMHO the better place. some bugs in WLM toolserver database

Hi! Could you please help in resolving some problems.

I noticed that toolserver map (http://toolserver.org/~erfgoed/layar/location.html) do not indicate all monuments that already exist in the database.

For example, some monuments of Кам'янець-Подільський with coordinates already exist in this list, but the map shows no monument in this city. Though in left bank of Kyiv monumentsare indicated correctly (example).

Than it seems links on this page are not correct. Link to UA list leads to empty page, while the correct one seems to be here. --A1 (talk) 10:16, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

I was looking for the 'Search Monuments' and 'Statistics' pages mentioned toward the bottom of the infographic on erfgoedbot's userpage (and which you showed me at the hackathon), but I couldn't find URLs for those at a glance. Could you let me know where those pages exist? I've left another message that's more-or-less redundant on erfgoedbot's English Wikipedia user talk page here.
