Rewriting history?

At [1] something went wrong. The picture dates from 2012, but the company name you are using is from 2023. User:Mpns might have gotten the dates wrong. Please revert it. Enhancing999 (talk) 20:43, 2 February 2024 (UTC)

At 2012, the Date the picture was taken, the company was namend "DB Netz AG". At 2023-12-28 this Company has been officially renamed from "DB Netz AG" to "DB InfraGO AG". So today it's a picture from a building of DB InfraGO AG. mfG - Martin ^{(Rede gerne mit mir)} 20:48, 2 February 2024 (UTC)

The additional Reason 'Reason: Renaming DB Netz AG to DB InfraGO AG at Dec. 2023' was given at renaming request. Because the company "DB Netz AG" doesn't exist anymore and this building today is used by "DB InfraGO AG" the filename was wrong. mfG - Martin ^{(Rede gerne mit mir)} 20:55, 2 February 2024 (UTC)

If you look at the samples for "obvious errors", it just matches none of them. Also, there is no way the uploader could have guessed the name ten years back, so it's not really an "error" at all.

Besides, if you can't explain why it's an "obvious error" yourself, then it can't be obvious. Please fix this, so we can move on and I don't have to bring it up elsewhere. Enhancing999 (talk) 23:52, 2 February 2024 (UTC)

are there any personal animosities here between you and martin that i have fallen into? Your rather aggressive way of approaching this circumstance allows a neutral observer to judge it that way. In short: your argument is "date", martin's is that the name of the company has changed. According to Google Maps, the building today looks like the photo in question. This reinforces martin's argument, who requested that the file be moved. He, as a very experienced user in the railroad sector, repeatedly confirmed why he thought the move made sense. Once again, I urge you to focus less on confrontation and more on construction. I am confident that an amicable agreement can be reached, but it will have to be between the two of you. I don't think this concerns Martin at all. I just noticed that one of your renames when wrong and asked you to fix it. You commented on the rename several times here, but made no effort to fix or explain it. I find this highly concerning. Please consider reviewing the way you apply our file renaming policy. I find this highly concerning that you keep ignoring martins arguments. You don't seem to take martin's arguments seriously and don't really want to get in touch with him about this. His argument was in your file rename log (echoed across all Wikimedia sites). There is nothing new that was said above.

Maybe it helps you when I repeat what is on the interface for renames for "(3)": "To correct obvious errors in filenames, including misspelled proper nouns, incorrect dates, and misidentified objects or organisms."

Mein Umbenennungsantrag hatte das Ziel, die Wikipedia als Gesamtes zu verbessern. Da es sich hier nach der und durch die Umbenennung des Unternehmens um ein "misidentified object" gemäß den Vorgaben handelt, da es sich nicht (mehr) ein Gebäude der DB Netz AG ist, ist wohl offensichtlich.

Ich sehe hier auch keine sachlichen Gründe, gegen die Umbenennung zu sein.

@Mosbatho: Von einem persönlichem Streit zwischen @Enhancing999 und mir ist mir nichts bekannt - dies kann somit auch kein Grund für seine Einlassungen sein (nur, um ein eventuell hier vorliegendes Missverständnis aufzuklären).

Wie du sicherlich feststellen konntest, wurden beide Argumente dargelegt. Die des Antragstellers und deine - ein Konsens wurde m.E. gefunden. Eine ausführliche Diskussion darüber fand statt.
