Information field

Please stop adding the extra Information field to files that you have uploaded. The file history clearly displays this information and you have a category for your uploads. There is no need to duplicate this information. I would appreciate it if you could remove the field from the files you have added it to. Green Giant (talk) 12:55, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

completely meaningless 2

Do not blindly apply file rename requests. First check if the request is valid! "Correct misleading names into accurate ones" means names that give the wrong info, not changing File:Las Pinas City.JPG to File:Las Piñas Slum.jpg! Bonjour William, when I looked a bit around I saw that you do fine work. It is very good usage to specify SVG images how they are made, and different templates can be used to do so. I had been told that the Author field should only contain author information, and no other tags (see Template talk:Uf#Deletion request) because of machine readability; so I developed {{Igen}} to replace {{Uf}}, to be inserted now e.g. in the Other fields. You may look at Sword parts-uk.svg where I changed it to show you how it can be. BTW, I do not like the Other fields so much, but other people say that this is the correct way; without the Other fields it is possible to use {{Igen}} outside the {{Information}} box, not such a good solution. sarang♥사랑 07:28, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Vésale

Bonjour. Vous avez renommé un fichier selon ma demande [1], merci. Par contre, il y a beaucoup de pages qui utilisent déjà ce fichier comme image de Vésale, ce qui est erroné, et aucun page ne l'utilise comme image de Melchior van Brauweiler, le vrai sujet. Est-ce que vous pourriez donc faire un universal replace vers un autre fichier qui est en fait Vésale, comme File:Andreas Vesalius-Pierre Poncet.jpg par exemple? No raster conversion

Hi, let's say a photo gif, it would be justified because it would have to be in jpeg. In a drawing, it is better to put it in svg, but the gif is not totally inadequate.--Medium⁶₉ ^{You wanted talk to me?} 19:05, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

Jpeg indeed isn't a favourable option, but png would do fine for a drawing. Png compared to gif would result in significantly improved quality for thumbnails. This is an easy option if noone's willing to take the trouble to redraw the image in vector in near future. 84.50.7.230 19:14, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
