Restaurant Week related images[edit]

Hi. Thanks for watching over. I have sent emails to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org declaring that I am the creator of the images you disputed the upload of and have also mentioned authorising its free usage. Hope that suffices.

With regards to the RestaurantWeek-Logo.jpg‎ which you have marked for speedy deletion. I request you to change that immediately. I am totally authorised to use that image. I am the creator of that logo and have complete authority over it. Please let me know what I need to do to prevent the said deletion.

The logo is copyrighted - or better saying a minimum the two small logos "at the bottom" are copyrighted - see http://www.explocity.com/ and copyrighted images are not allowed on Wikimedia commons. You can change the logo which you uploaded at the English Wikipedia so that it fits under the Fair Use criteria/policy (en:WP:FAIRUSE). Regards, mabdul 15:30, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Since the logo is copyright, you won't be able to use that logo at commons. Since you already uploaded the image at the English Wikipedia, change the license to {{Non-free logo}} and explain why this logo can be used under fair use. Hi. I get it. Yes, the article is still under progress. Here is the draft: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Varunr/Bangalore_restaurant_week. On completion, I want to submit it to a number of authors and get it reviewed before moving it to the main space. However, isn't that the right way? I make a draft in its completeness and submit it for review and make changes based on feedback and then, when satisfied, move it to the main space. I have regularly answered all queries - even sent mails to "permissions@commons.wikimedia", made undeletion requests too. What do I need to do? I have removed the notice. I believe this work is created by NASA as the image was taken by a NASA operated space probe. I have also contacted the contractor of New Horizons to ask if they have copyright claims. If I am not able to determine that the file is freely licensed, I will nominate it for deletion myself.
