Tibet during the Ming Dynasty[edit]

Hello, Lucag. I am Eric, or Pericles of Athens if you prefer. I love your photography, excellent job.

Over at English Wikipedia, I have recently nominated the article "Tibet during the Ming Dynasty" as a Featured Article. I came across your image of Tashilhunpo Monastery in Shigatse, the one with the donkey and cart in front, and I would love to use that for my article, since a picture of the monastery and its location in Shigatse is relevant in a particular section towards the end of my article. If you have any objections let me know, but otherwise I plan to use your image. Thank you.--PericlesofAthens 08:40, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello Eric, my photos are here to help in Wikipedia articles. I'm proud to see a picture of mine in that amazing article. Thank you Eric. --LucaG 21:58, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, it is a great image, like many of the photos you've taken.--PericlesofAthens 00:41, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Luca, Would you mind if I show your photo of Perito Moreno glacier in my Spanish class on Thursday? I am doing an oral presentation on Argentina (Patagonia in particular). Thanks, Erika Pretell 5/12/08

Request to translate Valued Image project launch announcement to Italian[edit]

Hi Lucag, I am contacting you because you are a native Italian speaking user, which I have great respect for. I do not know if you have heard of or in any way followed the development of the Valued images project since the beginning of the year? We are now making the final preparations to go on the air on June 1, 2008 0:00 UTC. Our preparations can be followed here: Commons talk:Valued images candidates. Among several to-dos we would like to make an announcement on the most major sister projects, among these the Italian Wikipedia. I was wondering if you could help us out with a translation to Italian? And if not, try to delegate the task to another native Italian users. Thanks in advance, -- Slaunger 21:44, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Slaunger,
I'm happy to be of some help. I'll start immediatly. --LucaG 23:06, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done. --LucaG 23:22, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Help appreciated. Thanks! -- Slaunger 04:44, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again, Lucag.
The time has now come to announce the project on it (on equivalents to Village pump, FPC talk and graphics lab talk, if all these exist on it?) Could you do that for us? If you do not feel like it or do not have the time, I ask you to delegate the task to another native Italian speaker.
Please, report back here.
Happy editing,
-- Slaunger 23:18, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done on Italian Wikipedia. --LucaG 14:22, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
