Hello, Lowdown!

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Markowce[edit]

czy mógłbyś zaprzestać dodawania zdjęć które nie tylko ciebie kompromituję ale i okolice Sanoka, to co robisz jest bardzo przykre, np. dodanie tej rudery w Markowcach, Jurowcach itd do głównej przestrzeni, 2011.08.11

Po pierwsze - gdy się piszę do kogoś to wypada się podpisać a nie robić tego zupełnie anonimowo. Zatem nie wiem, kto odzywa się. ty zamiast robić zdjęcia budowli znajdujących się po renowacji, wybierasz ruiny, którymi się nikt nie interesuje jak. np. w Markowcach, dlaczego nie zrobisz zdjęcia dworu, tylko jedną z wielu ruin w tej wsi, ???

A czy dwór nie jest czasem obecnie nieruchomością prywatną, gdzie nie można sobie ot tak wejść i zrobić zdjęcie? Co do ruin - proponuję przejrzeć listę obiektów uznane za zabytki, choćby na stronie Wiki Lubi Zabytki - byłe budynki gospodarcze we dworze są uznane za zabytki. Potrafisz to zrozumieć? no to mecenasie sam widzisz, że nie wszytko wolno, a to jest strona o Markowcach wsi, a nie o domniemanych zabytkach wsi, weź wywal te zdjęcia robione komórką, bo inni tak czy tak zrobią ze szkodą dla ciebie ...

Hej. W konkursie biorą udział pliki, które są ładowane między 1 a 30 września tego roku. Nie wszystkie, które były kiedykolwiek załadowane na Commons. Ale przecież przygotowywanie konkursu nie polegało na ładowaniu fotek, tylko na sprawdzaniu co już mamy w Commons i robieniu list. Wszyscy urobiliśmy się po pachy. Eh, poza tym - on jest głownie kierowany dla osób z zewnątrz. Dobra, miałeś falstart (może to się da "odkręcić" - ja nie jestem tu szefem, ani nie jestem w jury). Pomnik Ofiar Grudnia 1970[edit]

Witaj. Tu jeszcze raz: to jest pomnik OFIAR GRUDNIA 1970 / Solidarność powstała po strajkach sierpniowych 1980 na Wybrzezu / pomnik powstal jedynie z inicjatywy Solidarnosci i NIE JEST jej jako związkowi i ruchowi poświęcony. A tu cytat Żebyś nie miał wątpliwości "... Krzyże, symbol cierpienia, upamiętniają trzech pierwszych zabitych przez MO i Ludowe Wojsko Polskie stoczniowcow. Spinające je kotwice to znak nadziei, nawiązanie do lat 1956,1970 i l976. Stoczniowcy czekali na upamiętnienie poległych kolegów dziesięć lat. Mimo obietnic złożonych na początku 1971 r. władze PRL nie zgodziły się na jakiekolwiek formy upamiętnienia." Podobnie ma się rzecz z pomnikiem w Gdyni - jest to również pomnik ofiar Grudnia 1970. Ani pomnik w Gdańsku ani ten w Gdyni nie są pomnikami Solidarności ani dla Solidarności tylko pomnikami Ofiar Grudnia - Twoja błędna kategoria przeinacza fakty historii najnowszej. Fotografie[edit]

plakatów, posterów, banerów etc. to dzieła pochodne tychże, dlatego nie nabywa się PA do nich, przez sam fakt reprodukowania ich fotograficznie. Masur (talk) 16:21, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Tworzenie kategorii dla własnych ilustracji[edit]

Błędne kategorie i lansowanie swojej wersji historii[edit]

Dzień dobry. Zgłosiłem właśnie dwa poniższe zagadnienia do polskojęzycznych adminów commons. Zauważyłem, że także Pan miał problemy z przytaczanym przeze mnie poniżej userem. Podejrzewam że to co odkryłem przez przypadek jest tylko czubkiem góry lodowej tego co "stworzył" pod swoim nickiem, pacynkami i IP zaczynającymi się od 46. Jeżeli Pan również coś podobnego znalazł to proszę o kontakt. pozdr

Category:Personifications of Poland[edit]

W tej kategorii jako 3 i 4 plik znajdują się plakat niemieckich nazistowskich władz okupacyjnych w Polsce i propagandowy plakat niemiecki z okresu plebiscytu na G. Śląsku - żaden z nich nie jest ani personifikacją ani też symbolem Polski tylko propagandystycznym narzędziem twórcy plakatu. Pliki 6,7,8,9 są znaczkami pocztowymi Generalnej Gubernii - wymowa ideologiczna tych znaczków to "Goralenvolk - Germanie" i blonwłosi Polacy to potomkowie "Germanów". Przypisujący te pliki do owej kategorii (jako użytkownik zalogowany wielonickowiec z pacynkami i IP) wielokrotnie sprawił już sporo kłopotów na wiki.pl, wiki.en i wiki.de stosując własne "prawdy" oparte na "źródłach" pseudonaukowych. Zwróciłem mu kilka razy uwagę, niestety spotkałem się z agresją i obrazą. Bardzo proszę o zwrócenie uwagi na przytoczone przeze mnie przykłady.

Category:Polish areas annexed by Soviet Union[edit]

Dotyczy tego samego użytkownika co wyżej. [1], [2] i [3] dokonał kolejnego revertu wg własnej wizji historii. Obszary te po ataku na ZSRR nigdy nie zostały zaanektowane przez III Rzeszę, zawsze miały status obszarów zajętych (po niemiecku Besetzte Gebiete). Użytkownik nie widzi różnicy pomiędzy "okupacją a aneksją", "Besetzung a Annexion", "Military occupation a Annexation" i świadomie wprowadza sfoją wersję historii opartą na fałszu. Obawiam się, że niestety jest to czubek przysłowiowej góry lodowej i pod swoimi wieloma nickami "zasiał" na commonsie więcej takich "kwiatków". 77.187.26.183 11:45, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dziękuję bardzo za odpowiedź. Również zauważyłem, że strasznie miesza i manipuluje. Niestety poziom mojego angielskiego nie pozwala na prowadzenie merytorycznej konwersacji z adminem angielskojęzycznym, dlatego też zwróciłem się o pomoc do adminów polskojęzycznych. Okopisko[edit]

Silar, podałes definicję okopiska w wikipedii, ale czy widzisz że jest tam napisane, że w woj. podkarpackim ma to neutralne odniesienie?? Po co się tego czepiasz? Podalem tyle zrodel, a istnieje wiecej jeszczze a ty widzisz problem. Nazwe stosują wszyscy - naukowcy, historycy, mieszkancy, wladze i nikt nie ma z tym problemu. Stworzyles bzdurną kategorię "square at Jagiellonska" - a przeciez poza tym że to bzdura, to ten park nie jest kwadratem, ani tez nie jest jedyny w swoim rodzaju bo przy Jagiellonskiej są inne... Ty ignorujesz to co chcesz ignorowac. Dlaczego zawsze olewasz dyskusję z uzytkownikami, kasujesz ich wpisy, ale kiedy sam widzisz problem to wydaje ci sie że wszyscy maja ci odpowiadac. Tylko że twoje dzialania na projektach wiki pokazują co potrafisz i jakie są twoje edycje. Mógłbyś mi wyjaśnić jak to z tym Sanokiem Dąbrówką jest? Zrobiłem kategorię Sanok Dąbrówka, aby zdjęcia tego przystanku nie wisiały bezpośrednio w Train stations in Sanok. Edit-warring around categories[edit]

Hi Lowdown, I noticed some edit-warring going on in File:00876 Archäologischen Ausgrabungen auf dem Michaelerplatz vor der Pfarrkirche in Sanok. Zustand am 15 Mai 2012.JPG and File:Sanok 4 castle.JPG where you were involved. How justified your edits appear to you, the continuation of an edit war is never appropriate. I suggest to go to the corresponding talk pages for a discussion, possibly inviting comments from other users, too. And if this problem persists, a discussion can be opened at one of the administrative boards. In both cases, I've protected the images for a month in the most recent version without any consideration which variant could be the better one. I think that it is most important now to talk about the categorization to find a consensus, possibly with the help of others. Pomnik Smoleński[edit]

W przyszłym tygodniu zrobię. Dziś zrobiłem fotkę Kulejowi. Tymczasem jak możesz pododawaj fotki które zrobiłem dziś do artykułów.Chciałbym mieć czystą listę na przyszły tydzień.Z samych Powązek Wojskowych niewiele zostało do zrobienia chyba że ludzie zaczną umierać. Sprawdziłem w TERYT i na mapach topograficznych i nie widać na niej nazwy Okopisko. Nie neguję, że taka nazwa jest powszechna wśród mieszkańców być może. Ale nie znalazła potwierdzenia na mapach, a to już jest jakiś znak. Obszar między ul. Jagiellońską a ul. Schody Balowskie jest określany jako część miasta "Balowskie". Jeżeli już by powstała jakaś kategoria na pewno nie Okopisko at Jagiellońska Street in Sanok tylko Category:Okopisko (Sanok). Chciałbym zwrócić uwagę, że nazwę Okopisko ma też bliżej nieokreślony obszar (lasek, łąka) w mieście Rymanów w woj. podkarpackim. Serio trudno mi coś powiedzieć na temat tej nazwy ponieważ nie widzę literatury, ale na pewno jest nazwa bardzo potoczna. Więcej czasu trudno mi znaleźć by zająć się taką sprawą. Dzień dobry. Biorąc pod uwagę Pański wkład wnioskuję, że jest Pan z Sanoka. Czy mógłby Pan w chwili wolnego czasu sprawdzić to "[5]", w dyskusji moderatora "jarekt" [6] poruszyłem problem braku wpisu w rejestrze. Może istnieje jakiś numer rejestru dla całokształtu obiektów występujących na tych cmentarzach ? Z odwiedzin przeróżnych cmentarzy wiem że istnieją tablice z dokładną informacją dotyczącą numeru w rejestrze. Do tej pory nikt jeszcze nie wpadł na taki pomysł żeby pojedyńcze nagrobki grupować w kategorie i szablonować datą decyzji bez numeru. Kradzione zdjęcia z Commons[edit]

Fundacja Wikimedia oraz Stowarzyszenei Wikimedia Polska nie zajmują się reprezentowaniem autorów publikujących na Commons, ani nie pośredniczą, czy pomagają w ewentualnych roszczeniach, stąd nie ma żadnych oficjalnych mechanizmów, ani innych narzędzi do tego celu. Szablony czy coś może są podlinkowane w tych okolicach Commons:Reusing content outside Wikimedia, ale wątpię czy będzie coś po polsku.

Od siebie mogę powiedzieć, że ja zwykle prywatnie interweniuje (oczywiście tylko w sprawie moich fotek), pisząc po prostu mejl od siebie, i w 50% pomaga. W pozostałych macham na to ręką, ale jakby chodziło o coś grubego to nie wahałbym się wystąpić na drogę sądową - np. ostatnio odkryłem swoje zdjęcie na okładce bardzo szacownego czasopisma naukowego. Ale w tym wypadku udało mi się wytlumaczyć o co chodzi z wolnymi licencjami. A fakt, że wychodzi ono jeszcze drukiem i tam oczywiście nie mogli poprawić swojego błędu to już odpuściłem. Witam,

dziękuję za pochwałę, ale chyba nie wpełni na nią zasługuję ;) - zdjęcie może jest ciekawe jako kadr, ale fatalne jeśli chodzi o światło - robiłem przy kiepściunim świetle 10 letnim cyfrzakiem... Ile umiałem tyle go udoskonaliłem - nie potrafię lepeij - jeśli wiesz jak je podrasować to proszę pomóż :)

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Dear Lowdown,

The 2013 Picture of the Year competition has ended and we are pleased to announce the results: We shattered participation records this year — more people voted in Picture of the Year 2013 than ever before. In both rounds, 4070 different people voted for their favorite images. Additionally, there were more image candidates (featured pictures) in the contest than ever before (962 images total).

In the first round, 2852 people voted for all 962 files
In the second round, 2919 people voted for the 50 finalists (the top 30 overall and top 2 in each category)

We congratulate the winners of the contest and thank them for creating these beautiful images and sharing them as freely licensed content:

157 people voted for the winner, an image of a lightbulb with the tungsten filament smoking and burning.
In second place, 155 people voted for an image of "Sviati Hory" (Holy Mountains) National Park in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.

Mam taki pomysł abyś jesli masz chwilę czasu pouzupełniał moją lub stworzył listę haseł do zilustrowania (ja za bardzo z tym nie wyrabiam). Wówczas wybiorę się na cmentarz powązkowski zrobię wszystko za jednym razem. Poza tym pojadę tam raczej w marcu lub kwietniu bo muszę kupić nowy aparat (ten mi szwankuje). Jakby co z User:Mateusz Opasiński też się tym zajmuje więc myśle ze I do niego możesz uderzyć z tym pomysłem. Cmentarz Rakowicki[edit]

Witaj, Z tej listy groby wielu osób mam. Brakuje tylko czasu żeby wrzucić je na commons. Zrobić zdjecia to też tylko problem czasu. Niekiedy znalezienia grobu (mimo, że Zarząd Cmentarzy Komunalnych ma dość dokładną wyszukiwarkę) jest trudne, zniszczony albo źle opisany. Obiecałem kilka zdjęć dla D'Arnise i jeszcze trzech nie znalazłem. Postaram się coś z tej listy wrzucić. Przepraszam, że dopiero teraz odpowiadam. Pozdrawiam. Czy mógłbyś wskazać, gdzie to zdjęcie zostało opublikowane przed 23 maja 1994? Szablon {{PD-Polish}} dotyczy wyłącznie zdjęć opublikowanych.
Zdjęcia zamieszczane na Commons jako PD muszą być PD nie tylko w Polsce, ale także w USA. A w USA nieopublikowane zdjęcia anonimowych fotografów stają się PD dopiero po 120 latach od ich zrobienia. Jeśli nie jesteś w stanie wskazać ani miejsca publikacji, ani daty śmierci autora, ani nie dysponujesz pisemną zgodą aktualnego posiadacza praw autorskich do tego zdjęcia na jego opublikowanie na wolnej licenji, zdjęcie zostanie usunięte. Comment : Ankry, en:DMCA, czyli prawo USA w temacie, wyraźnie zezwala na wykluczenie materiałów z pod praw autorskich przez zasoby umieszczone w archiwum, a ~~NEC~~ NAC [03:52, 30 March 2015 (UTC)] właśnie nie tylko stanowi archiwum, ale nawet archiwum państwowe. IMHO prawo USA zezwala na traktowanie na licencji PD w tym przypadku (czyli, wszelakich nieopublikowanych mediów anonimowego autorstwa umieszczonych w archiwum i odniesionych/uźródłowionychnych tamże przez wiki[mp]edystów). --Mareklug ^talk 03:47, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nie wykluczam, jednak proszę cię abyś wskazał odpowiedni przepis, na który się powołujesz (że zasoby archiwów nie są chronione przez PA w USA - są w domenie publicznej) lub jego interpretację przez prawników. Jednak, jeśli nawet tak jest, użyłeś niewłaściwego szablonu licencji. Na commons wymagamy zagwarantowania przez zamieszczającego, że nikt nie jest uprawniony zgłosić zastrzeżenia odnośnie naruszenia jego PA, a nie jedynia "bycia krytym" poprzez uniknięcie odpowiedzialności w razie, gdyby ktoś takie zastrzeżenie w przyszłości zgłosił (patrz COM:PRP). Zasoby Commons są przeznaczone do ponownego wykorzystania i narażanie innych, że wykorzystanie zdjęcia z commons narazi ich na kłopoty nie jest w naszym interesie. Dlatego z zasady nie zamieszczamy na Commons zdjęć, których status prawny jest niejasny.

Na pewno w przypadku użycia {{PD-Polish}} trzeba wykazać wcześniejszą publikację tych zdjęć (materiałów niepublikowanych przed 1994 rokiem ten szablon nie dotyczy)

W kwestii przechodzenia materiałów do domeny publicznej wyznacznikiem jest obecnie COM:Hirtle chart i jeżeli mamy do czynienia z sytuacją nieobjętą przez tę tabelkę, to trzeba sprawę PA dokładnie uzasadnić. W przeciwnym razie prędzej czy później ktoś te materiały usunie w oparciu o COM:PRP

Odszczekuję komentarz. ;) Po wnikliwej rozmowie z Ankrym na kanale pl:Internet Relay Chat #wikimedia-commons, wygląda na to, że o ile zasoby archiwum nie są objęte prawami autorskimi w USA, powielanie zasobów (a nie samo odniesienie do zasobów) przez osoby trzecie, owszem, jest, aczkolwiek sformuławania tekstualne samego lex są na tyle osobliwe, że ani ja ani mój rozmówca nie podejmujemy się pi-razy-oko afirmacji tak czy siak. @Ankry: i @Mareklug: : Dzięki za Wasze uwagi. Wygląda to tak, że nie ja jedyny publikowałem dla przykładu ilustracje pochodzące z zasobów NAC, zatem byłoby najlepiej wyklarować tę sytuację. Albo wskazać szablon licencji, który uprawnia do publikowania tutaj, albo też uznać, że jest to niedopuszczalne. Dotychczas zostało "wrzuconych" na Commons wiele ilustracji z NAC. Hej! Przede wszystkim bardzo przepraszam za opóźnienie, ale zrobiłem sobie ostatnio dwa tygodnie wakacji - w sensie tradycyjnego urlopu w prawdziwym życiu, ale też równocześnie przerwy od edytowania. Moim zdaniem mają tu zastosowanie ogólne zasady przechodzenia utworów stworzonych w Polsce do domeny publicznej. Czyli w skrócie: jeśli znany jest autor, to dzieło przechodzi do PD od początku kolejnego roku po 70. rocznicy śmierci autora. Jeśli autor jest nieznany, 70 lat od pierwszej publikacji, za którą w tym przypadku pewnie można uznać wydanie świadectwa. Taka jest moja interpretacja, ale oczywiście nie ma gwarancji, że ktoś w społeczności Commons nie będzie miał innej, to jest wątpliwy "urok" tego projektu. Pozdrawiam! Hej! Ja nie stworzyłem żadnej z tych kategorii. Po prostu sprzątając obszar polskich aktorów i wokalistów odkryłem przypadkiem, że są dwie kategorie o tej samej osobie, więc przeniosłem grafiki do tej kategorii, w której zastałem ich więcej, a następnie zrobiłem przekierowanie. Nie mam zdania merytorycznego, który zapis jest prawidłowy. Gdybyś chciał to zmieniać - nie mam nic przeciwko. Re: Rynek w Rzeszowie[edit]

W sumie, domyśliłem się, że w istnieniu dwóch odrębnych kategorii może być właśnie takie zamierzenie (znaczy - rynek jako plac między pierzejami i Rynek jako punkt adresowy z ewentualnym dodatkiem "ul."), ale dość dużo siedzę w commonsach i nigdzie poza Rzeszowem takiego rozróżnienia nie zauważyłem, więc uznałem, że i tu wyrównam do tego, co zwykle. Wyjątkowo jeszcze w Wikidanych zdarza mi się rozróżniać ulicę/plac od zespołu architektonicznego mającego swój odrębny wpis w ewidencji albo rejestrze zabytków, ale to nie jest ten przypadek.
