Using your Cloud Sky over Brest[edit]

Hello Luca:

I have come across your beautiful image and feel it would be perfect for my Photoshop class assignment in which I must create a logo. I would love to use the clouds as mask clipping over some text. I am required by my professor to ask for permission prior to using images not found in royalty free format.

I will need to submit your authorization to my professor when submitting my assignment.

Categorizzazione fortezze[edit]

Ciao Llorenzi. Circa un anno fa hai realizzato diverse categorie regionali di fortezze in Italia (che io ho raggruppato ora in Category:Fortresses in Italy by region). Ho notato che a tutte ti eri dimenticato di assegnare la relativa categoria regionale, per cui non risultavano proprio nelle regioni di pertinenza. Vorrei esortarti in futuro a stare più attento in questo senso. Il mio naturalmente vuole essere un invito, non un rimprovero. Capisco che assegnare le categorie giuste non è sempre facile. Lo diventa se tieni presente delle regole minime molto semplici che ti aiuteranno e guideranno nell'individuazione quasi automatica delle categorie giuste. 1) Considera che una categoria che presenta solo una categorizzazione è sempre molto sospetta: al 90% dei casi manca di una o più categorie. 2) Le categorie da dare le rilevi spaccando idealmente in due il nome che tu hai dato. Nel nostro caso se hai Fortresses in Emilia-Romagna capisci subito che devi assegnare almeno due categorie: una Fortresses in Italy (perché l'Emilia Romagna si trova in Italia), e l'altra quella della regione Emilia-Romagna, possibilmente in una sua sottocategoria architettonica (perché le fortezze sono una costruzione). 3) Considera che ogni immagine dovrebbe essere localizzata, quindi avere una categoria del luogo (per la nostra Italia sarebbe una Regione, o una Provimcia, o un Comune, o una Frazione, o un edificio categorizzato); poi ogni immagine rappresenta un oggetto (che può essere un vaso, una statua, un dipinto, un edificio, o un luogo naturale (monte, fiume, lago, ecc.). Se tu categorizzi un'opera d'arte, oltre all'oggetto (statua, rilievo, dipinto, affresco, mosaico, ecc.), ci deve essere anche una categoria del soggetto rappresentato (Madonna, Santo, personaggio mitologico, ritratto di..., paesaggio, scena storica, ecc.), e possibilmente anche la categoria del suo autore, e della cronologia dell'opera (all'anno, o al decennio, o al secolo). Ecco, se nella mente hai presente questo schema, vedrai che diventa molto facile assegnare le categorie giuste, e praticamente impossibile dimenticare quelle importanti. P.S. : tu che bazzichi abbastanza castelli e fortini, mica sapresti che forte è quello delle immagini "parcheggiate" da anni in Category:Unidentified locations in Trentino-South Tyrol ? (foto di Fale da 13 a 19).
