First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
  • You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
  • There are several tools to upload files.
  • Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.
Made a mistake?
  • Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
  • Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

@Furfur: Hello, thanks for telling me. I think the matter is due to zh:三和村 (Sanhe Village) of zh:瑪家鄉 (Majia Township), which is an enclave. I just wrote a letter to National Land Surveying and Mapping Center to check this problem.--Liaon98 我是廢物 10:30, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Furfur: Mountain indigenous townships use different law from common townships, that why enclaves be established when aborigines relocated to common townships. 國道十號左營端？[edit]

在高鐵左營站附近的翠華路這座匝道

我看過高雄都會區快速道路此條目，發現你在這筆版本一開始創建就有寫；不過，我卻有個疑問……如果你寫的是正確，為什麼不見你提供來源？你那樣寫，其語氣是相當斷定高鐵左營站附近的翠華路那座匝道「不是」國道十號左營端，反而是告訴我，高雄都會區快速道路可無縫接上國道十號。在沒有來源的情況下，其實一般人沒辦法像你那樣分別，就連我也是會誤將那座匝道看成是國道十號左營端。因為左營端的情況有別於大家的認知，高速公路會叫xx端都是直接平面道路，再不然就是有匝道接上平面道路，像「國道十號旗山端」就是一例，因此叫左營端就會引人感到匪夷所思，更何況你都寫它是「無縫接上」，所以是不是存在左營端就更令人懷疑。如果左營端真的存在，而且你也能指出它的確切位置，那麼我對翠華路那座匝道判別是高雄都會區快速道路就容易很多。目前我在整理照片時，遇到問題就是這個，若不能解決的話，我就無法判斷是要歸類在國道十號還是在高雄都會區快速道路，希望請你幫忙。--Kai3952 (talk) 11:46, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
