ID of Images File:Lamium purpureum east Bohemia 2.jpg and File:Lamium purpureum east Bohemia.jpg[edit]

I just corrected the species category of these two images, because they show Lamium purpureum instead of Glechoma hederacea. I also updated the description accordingly and moved them to the correct species page. Unfortunately I do not speak any Czech language. Thanks for correction, I am not real botanic expert and my friend told me the wrong name of this plant. The Czech name is OK. I am thinking about the change of these two images names, but I know from previous experience, that this is relative difficult procedure. Having the images renamed should be a rather simple procedure by adding Template:Rename to the image pages and letting an admin do the job. Your Pangasius pictures[edit]

Hello Karelj, your pictures File:Pangasius hypophthalmus 1.jpg, File:Pangasius hypophthalmus 2.jpg and File:Pangasius hypophthalmus 3.jpg certainly show Pangasius sanitwongsei as the animal has the filamentous finrays typical for that species. As I was just expanding the German Wikipedia article and looking for pictures I was glad to find those really nice ones and wanted to notify you of the wrong labelling. Hello Cymothoa exigua, and thanks you for your observation. You know, I am not expert of fishes, but I like to photo and living objects are my favorites. I took these snaps in Prague see aquarium and the name of fish I read from caption near the reservoir. Maybe I made mistake and there were two different species in one reservoir, or there is wrong the whole description (I hope not, this will be big shame for Prageu aquarium). Anyway, when I saw pictures of Pangasius sanitwongsei from Google, I see, that you are right and these fishes are P. sanitwongsei . What do you suggest, should I ask for renaming pictures (I think, that I cannot do it myself) or just to change the descrption of pictures? Regards, --Karelj (talk) 20:00, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I guess the mistake may have been on the aquariums side - mislabelling is quite frequent, especially with pangasiids, as they are frequently sold just as "Pangasius" and people may have to guess which species it is. Use of your picture for a book[edit]

Hi,

We’d like to use one of your pictures for a book that will be publish next fall. On wikimedia, it says that the picture is copyright free.

The title of the book is Secrets de plantes 2 and the name of the author is Fabien Girard. The initial print run will be 1000 copies.

We’d like to have your autorisation by e-mail to use this picture. If you accept, what is the exact name of the source that we must write beside the picture?

Carduelis spinus (« Tarin des aulnes » in french) are coming in my little garden almost each year (in february, march and april) but they are less numerous than ten years ago (6 in 2013 but 24 in 2001). You can see them in category:Birds of Dordogne. Père Igor (talk) 08:36, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK, OK, now I believe you, that you recognize this little bird correctly. This image was made in my weekendhouse in Jaroměř, east Bohemia. We feed there lot of birds during the winters for many many years and all family has pleasure from observation them. But you are right, this kind of birds starts to apear there in the end of winter or in the beggining of spring. Probably they are returning from the south, where they are spending the most of winter. In all the references I have consulted (Flora Europaea, Tela-botanica, GRIN and NCBI taxonomies, and the book Columbines by Robert Nold - ISBN 0-88192-588-8) I have found the name Aquilegia bernardii. Why is it reported in Wikispecies as Aquilegia bernardi?

I only added picture from Commons to existing page in Wikispecies. I am not real botany expert, so I do not want to decide, which name is 100 % correct. Please, see the history of this page (http://species.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aquilegia_bernardi&action=history) and ask author User:Open2universe, or if you are really sure, change the name of page in Wikispecies yourself. The name of the Wikispecies page was obviously misspelled. I have, after correction of its content, transferred it to a new page Aquilegia bernardii. Revert wikikonference[edit]

Ahoj, můžu se tě zeptat na tvůj důvod pro revert mé editace metadat u fotky Wikikonference Praha 2013 Karel 4.jpg? Za tu fotku ti moc děkuju, ale nechápu, proč jsi zrušil mou editaci, kterou jsem se snažil pomoct zlepšit její popis. Promiň, ale slovo "meeteing" rozhodně není anglicky, když už tak "meeting", jak jsem to upravil teď (ale nazvat konferenci "meetingem" je i tak trochu divné), a stejně tak je nepopiratelné, že na fotce je zobrazen Marek Blahuš, takže i ta kategorie tam má co dělat. Ohledně určitých a neurčitých členů v angličtině by bylo určitě možné vést diskuzi, tam si tolik jistý nejsem a byl to spíš jen pokus o uvedení všeho do alespoň trochu přijatelnějšího stavu v rámci mým schopností; ale zajímalo by mne, proč jsi takhle paušálně a bez vysvětlení zrušil tu mou editaci celou – co se ti na ní tak nelíbilo? 21:25, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

Ahoj, sorry, to byl spíše chvilkový zkrat. Měl jsem toho tehdy nějak moc, současně se mi nějaký vandal začal hrabat v kytičkách z Alberovské botanické zahrady a dělat v nich bord... a tak jsem revertoval všechny změny z té chvíle. S tím meetingem máš samozřejmě pravdu a pokud jde o ty členy, je to opravdu jen věc názoru a obě verze by byly patrně možné. Takže ještě jednou omluva, nebylo to myšleno osobně a byl to pouze únik ze stresu z mé strany. Jinak, mimochodem, svůj předchozí příspěvek jsi nepodepsal a tak jsem zjišťoval kdo mi píše jen z Historie stránky.... --Karelj (talk) 10:37, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
