Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Error in thumbnail[edit]
I don't think this is an issue with my image. The thumbnail worked fine before, but a few gifs were giving problems on the site so they disabeld gif thumbnails globally in all projects. Some guys told me they were still trying some different things, and this could be a bug. I'll report it and see if we can get some fix. Tip: Categorizing images[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Augusto De Luca[edit]
This is simply a note to assert that I strongly oppose some of the numerous nominations for deletion of this artists work at Commons:Deletion requests/2014/04/12, and support the retention of most images currently in the Category:Augusto De Luca pages. I intend to vote in that manner to the extent I have the time in coming days, but will here note some of the reasons I am doing so.
After I noticed an attempt by Hypergio (talk · contribs) to have the Augusto De Luca page at Wikiquote simply removed, I then noticed that this user had already succeeded an effort made at the English Wikipedia Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Augusto De Luca to have the article which had existed there for years removed, with relatively little notice or participation by others. An effort initiated even earlier on 27 March, to have this photographers article at the Italian Wikipedia deleted has not yet succeeded, and was extended without a consensus, but now seems on the way towards success.
In recent weeks, apparently in reaction to a rather naïve or otherwise misguided effort to create user pages for this person on various Wikimedia wikis, there seems to have been a significant effort mounted to eliminate or at least diminish any mention of him from the Wikimedia projects. I perceive this to be rather petty-minded and even more misguided than whatever might have motivated anyone to begin creating such relatively innocuous user pages recently.
I had encountered some of the images of this person prior to this recent activity, and thought some of them worthy for use on Wikiquote pages, but I believe I probably had not got around to using any until after this recent campaign against this person's presence began. With my attention having been brought to them, by the recent efforts at deleting many, I now intend to use more of them, as worthy images that would be appropriate to some Wikiquote pages, which is the Wikimedia project on which I have long been most active.
I have rarely gotten involved in issues beyond those at Wikiquote, but I do find the recent efforts to remove this artist's work and articles from the projects rather contemptible. ~ ♞☤☮♌Kalki·†·⚓⊙☳☶⚡ 10:54, 12 April 2014 (UTC) + tweaks
I intend to post this message in coming days on some of the images which have been nominated — though I might not have the time or inclination to do so on all of them:
Keep · The link Hypergio (talk · contribs) provides actually seems to call into question the actions of individuals in preforming some locks and initiating some measures against accounts that were perhaps not warranted. This proposal to delete images by this photographer seems to be part of a subsequent cross-wiki campaign by a very few people to eliminate or at least diminish and denigrate any mention of him, and many traces of his work from the Wikimedia projects, some of which had apparently existed since at least 2010, after that recent suspicious effort, apparently by him or by someone on his behalf, to simply create user pages for him on many Wikimedia projects. Whatever the merits or foolishness of that effort, I certainly consider some of his work at Photographs by Augusto De Luca quite notable and worthy for inclusion, and much of it has existed here for years now, with little or no controversy, and now that it has come to my attention in recent weeks, I intend to use more of it at the Wikiquote project. ~ ♞☤☮♌Kalki·†·⚓⊙☳☶⚡ 11:46, 12 April 2014 (UTC) + tweaks — as I consider the statement a while before I begin posting it on the many nominations.

I do not usually give such notices to others, but I would recommend that all who can make some efforts to go out and SEEK and FIND Comet Lovejoy in coming days! It is a VERY fortuitous event, to be ABLE to see it NOW, and it should be visible to many for much of the rest of the month, especially if you have binoculars available, and as nights become darker as the moon wanes toward the new moon on the 20th; those of you in cities where lights obscure the sky might wish to go outside of them with binoculars around this time, if possible. There is a synchronicity of various EVENTS which have just recently occurred and are occurring even now, and which I expect to occur in coming days and months, not "caused" by that, and not "causing" it, in any physical ways at all, but which have generated MUCH Love and much JOY in my heart of hearts, and I can barely contain or stifle my joys much longer, and my faith and hope and charitable love of ALL! Absurdist Universalist Mystics and advocates of Humanist Unity within and beyond all sectarian or secular forms of faith are often prone to much sorrow at the ignorance and confusion of many people about many things, but that permits and impels them to take much joy in other things not discernble to most others, and SUCH are such things as ARE occurring NOW. Fireflies, stars, comets and meteors all provide illuminating events in their own peculiar ways, and have often fascinated me since childhood. Of course with the naked eye or even with binoculars Lovejoy won't look as impressive as in some of the many photographs available, nor be as bright as some other comets which have been around in recent years, but still it is relatively easy to locate and see with binoculars. These are two of the better articles I have found on locating it and viewing it in the coming days:

- I found it doing a "Google Image" search by image, using upload address of the the previously available image as the base of the search.
