Deletion of PD works for 'no source'[edit]

SORRY. Deletion request has more automated way to close cases faster, but certain glitch seemed to mislead to deletion of Hallein Postgasse 4.jpg that was not intended. THANKS for understanding. 請教關於台灣士兵階級臂章圖案的問題[edit]

您好：在Category:Non-commissioned rank insignia of the Republic of China Army中，關於台灣士兵階級章圖案，原本都錯誤地使用肩章型式，我按照軍服法律附件的規定做了修正，但發現其中的File:Private Second Class rank insignia (ROC).svg、File:Private First Class rank insignia (ROC).svg和File:Senior Private rank insignia (ROC).svg分別會和File:Taiwan-army-OR-1.svg、File:Taiwan-army-OR-2.svg、File:Taiwan-army-OR-3.svg重覆（因為士兵臂章只縫在單邊手臂，沒有橫放成對的可能），請問能請您幫忙直接將這三個檔案改成重定到正確的檔案內容嗎？或是我另外再上傳一模一樣的檔案修正現有的錯誤呢？謝謝您的幫助。--Akira123 (talk) 11:41, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

請幫忙台灣陸軍士官軍階圖像更名[edit]

按照國防部2009年出版的《國軍簡明美華軍語辭典》倒數第2頁的附錄「國軍軍階對照表」（國防部官網的載點已被移除，目前只能從這裡下載），陸軍中士是Sergeant，陸軍上士是Staff Sergeant，但目前File:Staff Sergeant rank insignia (ROC).svg的內容卻是陸軍中士軍階，陸軍上士則是File:Sergeant (上士) rank insignia (ROC).svg，應該是陸軍中士的File:Sergeant rank insignia (ROC).svg被重定向到陸軍上士，甚至陸軍一等士官長的File:Sergeant Major rank insignia (ROC).svg也被重定向到陸軍上士，情況相當混亂。此外，陸軍士官長則全部被錯誤命名為Warrant Officer（准尉）包括File:Warrant Officer First Class rank insignia (ROC).svg、File:Warrant Officer Second Class rank insignia (ROC).svg、File:Warrant Officer Third Class rank insignia (ROC).svg，按官方英譯名稱應分別更正為File:Sergeant Major rank insignia (ROC).svg、File:First Sergeant rank insignia (ROC).svg、File:Sergeant First Class rank insignia (ROC).svg，不只是副檔名.svg的圖像需要更正，副檔名.jpg的圖像也有同樣問題，希望能拜託您幫忙糾正目前混亂、錯誤的命名，如果可能，也請幫忙將這些圖像的重定向檔名順便清理。非常感謝您的幫助。謝謝！--Akira123 (talk) 15:24, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

我看到有其他維基人引用《陸海空軍軍官士官任官條例》英文版，但是第2條「上士」譯為「Sergeant」、「中士」譯為「Staff Sergeant」（這兩個譯名與上述辭典相反）；第6條「上士」譯為「 First Sergeant」（上述辭典中是陸軍及陸戰隊「二等士官長」）、「中士」譯為「Sergeant」（與上述辭典相同）。相同中文軍階，卻有完全不同英譯，甚至前後矛盾，明顯有錯，所以我已寫信向國防部詢問，是否確實是法規資料庫的內容出現錯誤，並建議將不同軍種的英譯名稱比照軍官階級的譯名，都寫出來，避免造成引用時發生錯誤。--Akira123 (talk) 16:23, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yuriy kosygin[edit]

請管理員處理Yuriy kosygin用戶問題。我知道這問題是小事，只要動手移除類別就好，可是這並不是最好的解決。因為我的主張是，我們每一個人都不是他的保母，也不是他的家人，不可能24小時照顧他，他必須學會讓自己成長，以改善自己行為與想法，如此才是對commons.wikimedia有幫助，否則他一直錯下去，除了造成別人困擾，還會增加別人時間去巡查他的編輯。也就是說，Yuriy kosygin用戶問題是為了逼迫他面對自己問題。因為他的問題有以下三點：

  • 心態錯誤：他的解釋有種歪理，他拿刀殺人，說是刀子殺人，以藉此理由使他自己可以殺人無罪。相同的，他使用CropTool是他自己使用的問題，不該因為錯了就繼續犯錯。
  • 行為錯誤：他已發現CropTool有問題，但是他有腦子與眼睛，可以去思考怎麼解決，即使上傳者不能填寫Yuriy kosygin，他可以上傳之後再檢查一次，填錯就改回Yuriy kosygin，使他自己養成檢查好習慣，但是他沒有做到，只是告訴我他沒做錯事。
  • 沒有為別人立場設想：這次他做錯事，剛好發生在"Flickr files uploaded by Kai3952"類別，當然受害是我，他應該為我的立場設想，但是他非但沒有移除類別，反而說File:Taichung Liuchuan Canal Waterfront.jpg是我上傳的，他如此的溝通態度，不僅對事情沒幫助，而且會製造事端（與人吵架），所以要必須強迫他學習面對錯誤。

How we will see unregistered users[edit]

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

I am messaging you because a contest for a sound logo for Wikimedia is being developed and your opinion as a Wikimedia Commons admin is appreciated. My team would like to know if it is possible for the top finalist sound logos in the contest to have attribution temporarily hidden from public view until all the votes are final? The idea is to let the public judge the sound logo contestants based on the merit of the logo, not the person or people who made it. Again, any feedback is appreciated.

Canadian coins[edit]

Hello,

I found this deletion discussion that you initiated in 2007: Commons:Deletion requests/Images of Canadian coins less than 50 years old. The coins were not free in 2007, when they were less than 50 years old, but 3 or 4 of them are probably PD-Canada now. Do you think you can undelete them? I cannot view deleted files, so I have only the information from the filenames and from the upload logs.

  • File:Canadian silver dollar 1962.jpg and File:Carlb-penny1967centennial-01.jpg : The years of the coins are mentioned. And their upload logs seem to imply that the photos are the works of the uploaders.
  • File:Canada 25 cents.JPG : The upload log specifies that the coin is from 1960. But the file would have to be checked to see if the photo is free.
  • File:Coincan.jpg : The upload log does not specify the year of the coin. Maybe the file can just be checked to see if the coin is old enough or still too recent.
  • The other two coins, from 2004 and 2006, are still too recent.
