You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

@MPF: Hello, since a few months the cameras and smart phones have problems for locations in Guadeloupe in all cities. We can take pictures but the devices do not indicate the locations. So far i can not send you the locations. Well cordially. Filo gèn' (talk) 17:40, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

They are all on Guadeloupe in the Caribbean? That is a big help, thanks! I had realised that some of your photos were from there, but I did not know (and could not tell) if you might have travelled elsewhere to take these. This is so much better than not knowing even which continent they might be on :-) But even if your camera or phone does not record the coordinates, if you remember the place, you can get coordinates from google earth (neither my camera nor my phone are gps-enabled, all of my photo locations are taken from google earth!). I'll add Guadeloupe to the files, that is actually enough for useful identification, etc. Thanks again! - MPF (talk) 18:08, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

since I saw this servereal times in the past days: Please have a look that you remove the rename-tag when you moved a file manually. Wrong renaming

Hi, Filo gèn', last March, at the request of user N.Longo, you moved the page File:Cardinal Medici Leo X Cardinal Cybo.jpg to File:Raphael - Pope Leo X with Cardinals Giulio de' Medici and Luigi de' Rossi.jpg, according to Criterion 3 (obvious error), "as per sources cited in wiki pages of this painting, it doesn't represent cardinal Innocenzo Cybo". However, this is not Raphael's original painting (which those sources refer to), but a copy made by the painter Giuliano Bugiardini, in which the figure of cardinal de' Rossi (the first from the right) is replaced by another member of the extended Medici family, cardinal Innocenzo Cybo. This painting is kept and can be easily checked online in Rome's Barberini Corsini National Galleries. I've tried to change the description of the file, but I couldn't figure out how to remove the wrong links to wikidata. Jeanambr (talk) 22:36, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.

The campaign invites participants to document photographs, videos, and audios linked to folk culture and fit within the contest's theme. How to Contribute?

The dates for the submission in the photography contest on Wikimedia Commons are from 1 February to 31 March 2023. Probably you are wondering how you can take part. Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on 1 May 2023, 23:59:59 UTC.
