DB Spinne

Gruß --Walta (talk) 06:31, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

Hallo Walta. Gruß --JuTa 08:03, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

XIX wieczna karczma w Miąsowej.jpg

Hello. I uploaded image named 'XIX wieczna karczma w Miąsowej'. I typed that author is unknown. I can't show link with author agree to use because: 1. Author is unknown(as I wrote), 2. Image is from XIX century so author is propably dead. So what we'll do?
I'm beginner on wiki commons so maybe you could tell me what to fix?
Link: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:XIX_wieczna_karczma_w_Mi%C4%85sowej.jpg Mercussek (talk) 17:54, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, in most countries the copyright lasts until the 70 past the dead of the author. So, even if the author is unknown he could and the image is from the late 19th century, he could be easily living past 1944 (the 70 current 70 years borderline). In your case eventualy the license {{Anonymous-EU}} could fit, if the image was intentionaly published anonymously and not just "we don't know him". regards. --JuTa 18:20, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
I fixed that. Is it well now? Mercussek (talk) 18:27, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi, if you enter the correct date when the image was created (not 2011) and remove the problem tag at the top I will not investigate this case anymore. regards --JuTa 18:30, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
PS: The category you gave is non existent and makes no sense. if you dont know a better one please replace it with {{subst:unc}}. --JuTa 18:32, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
Ok, thank you.

Re

Hello, i saw your message about the lack of enough license info: i wrote all i coud mention, i don't know wich kind of license I need. Regards, ^musaz (talk) 10:18, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, when you dont know a license of an image, you should not upload it on commons. In this case it could be a NASA image could be not. You should prove that by finding a source directly from NASA. If you can find that you should replace the source to that and apply the license {{PD-USGov-NASA}}. If not, the image will get deleted, I'm afraid. regards. --JuTa 10:26, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
It is a screenshot made by myself of a live-video constantly broadcasted (as mantioned in image's description): i think no-one will claim any copyrught issue. ^musaz (talk) 11:12, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
Please read Commons:Project scope/Precautionary principle. regards. --JuTa 16:40, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
I know the lack of license is a problem: I thought some license existed, so I uploaded the image, hoping someone would complete the image's description with the correct copyright label. ^musaz (talk) 00:27, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

License tags added

Hi,

Regarding to your message on my talk page, I added the license tags to the images. Does that solve the problem?

Thanks
Arsi Warrior (talk) 02:13, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, not realy. You didn't shot the photo. Then you cannot release it under a free license. A releasing email from its copyright holder, Turner Construction, to the commons support team would be required, see Commons:OTRS. regards. --JuTa 09:46, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

Francesc Canals i Ambròs

Good night Mr. JuTa, My name is Josep and I am new in wikipedia. The picture that I have included in my article and that you say that I haven't copyrights is the same that you can see in front of the tombstone of a dead person(Francesc Canals and Ambròs)dead in 1899. It's a very small picture of only a few centimeters that it has been photographed thousands of times. In these cases where I have not taken the picture but it does not have copyright, what should I do? Thanks!

Hi, JosepRVB. I guess you talking about File:Francesc Canals i Ambrós.jpg. I rechecked the case now and corrected the file description page - see here. regards --JuTa 22:42, 12 May 2014 (UTC)

Valid permissions ?

Hi, I recently saw several Yugoslavia national football team photos uploaded under a peculiar permission that I haven't seen before.

So I'd like to know if this permission (published in Serbian Wiki - see here) is valid for Commons or a OTRS ticket is required. Otherwise, those files should be nominated for deletion, shouldn't they?

The files affected are:

I'll be awaiting for your reply which would make this clearer to me. Regards, - Fma12 (talk) 16:48, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi Fma12, yes the linked page does not state any license an a google translate give only a statement that "you" have permission to use the material. Who is you? On the other hand the page is very old - maybe from pre-OTRS-Era. Best would be a regular DR to be able to discuss the case. regards. --JuTa 16:59, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

OTRS in Puig

Hello, thank you for your message. The owner of the pictures is sending to permissions-commons (a) wikimedia the emails saying that the pics are free of rights... Please, if you can be little patient, he will sent. Excuse me for my english. Cheers. --Halder321 (talk) 08:15, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi Halder321, as soon you know the copyright holder has sent the mail to the commons support team, you shlould replace the problm tag with {{subst:OP}}. This will prevent deletion of the files for about 30 days or until the case will be decided as valid or invalid. regards. --JuTa 19:18, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Sumavska_hornatina_CZ_I1B.png

Gruß, --Walta (talk) 20:45, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Gruß --JuTa 04:34, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
Gruß --Walta (talk) 06:57, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

Gertraud Kietz

(talk) 05:50, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

Gruß --JuTa 10:29, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

Owner gave permission

Hi JuTa, the owner of the images (Society of Women Engineer, which I am a member) gave permission to use the photos as part of their 'Edit-A-Thon' outreach campaign to bring awareness to unrecognized pioneers. I'm not 100% sure how to convey this via Copyright Tags. I added this information to the picture: http://alltogether.swe.org/blog/swe-edit-a-thon-are-your-founders-being-found-.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dragix (talk • contribs) 2014-05-19T23:15:20‎ (UTC)

Hi Dragix, on the page you linked I find nothing about the image File:JosephineWebb.jpg. This means the fotografer and/or copyright holder has to agree a a free license an has to send a releasing email to the commons support team - see Commons:OTRS. I will mark the image as "no permission" now. regards. --JuTa 20:01, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi JuTa, thanks for understanding. I understand there's lots of laws around copyright, etc. I'm waiting for the society to email Wikimedia with explicit permission. Dragix (talk) 21:22, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Олексів (talk • contribs) 2014-05-20T13:56:38‎ (UTC)

Hi Олексів, we try to follow striktly copyright laws on commons. The fact that images are visible in the internet oes not mean they are free of copyright. You cant just copy images out of the web an upload them to commons. That would be a copyight violation in most cases. regards --JuTa 20:08, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

Public Domain?

Hi,

I apologize about the unclear status of the picture I uploaded: File:Missouri Reserve Military Force Oath.jpg. I was unclear about the copyright status because, according to the National Guard template, any work by the United States National Guard is in the public domain, yet the Missouri National Guard was nonetheless claiming copyright status on Flickr. I was unclear if the copyright was valid or if the picture was in the public domain, and if so, if I had to acknowledge the copyright claim anyway. Therefore, I'm not sure how I should be proceeding in regards to using that picture. Please advise me on whether I can use this picture for an article or not, and if so, how I should fix it in order to ensure it is not flagged again.

Et0048 (talk) 04:14, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, Et0048. According the flickr source it is a submitted foto. This means it was not made by nationalguard stuff but by somebody alse and they ust got it from a 3rd person. It looks like the foto is not in the public domain. Please don't reupload it. regards --JuTa 07:32, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi. I am trying to create the page of the International Children's Centre on behalf of owners. So they asked me to place logo on their page. How should I describe it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lyvsy (talk • contribs) 2014-05-22T21:28:47‎ (UTC)

Hi, Lyvsy. If you have contact to the copyright holders you should ask them if they are willing to release that image under a free license - {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} is recomannded. If the agree they have to mail to the commons support team as describted in Commons:OTRS. regards. --JuTa 07:26, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi, JuTa Thank for your advice! We will do that. One more question - how is that possible that Samsung Logo is not copyrighted? regards. --Lyvsy
Hi Lyvsy, that is a question of the so called Threshold of originality. This is a borderline case, but its definiltly not a textlogo, because there is no text but only grafic. If this exceeds the threshold or not differs in various countries. I'm not sure which is the country of origin in your case, but I guess it might be Russia, which is not explicitly mentioned there. You could try to reupload it with {{PD-textlogo}} and {{Trademarked}} but there is a good chance that it will be redeleted, or worst case you could be blocked here on commons an perhaps you could be pulled to court by the copyright owners because of copyright violation, not very likely but possible. To be on the save site I recommand to follow the OTRS path. regards. --JuTa 09:20, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi, JuTa. I already told you that we are ready to go the long way. But I want to help you because I see that you are performing your duties well. Look what I found at Samsung site "Trademarks. "SAMSUNG", "SAMSUNG.com" and "SAMSUNG DIGITall Everyone's invited" are trademarks of SAMSUNG in the United States or other countries. Unauthorized use or duplication of these marks is strictly prohibited by law." That is why I think there is no way Samsung logo (not only text but a combination of the text with specifically shaped background) is the copyrighted logo which cannot be used according to what they wrote on their web-site. PLease remove Samsung logo - we shoulf follow the rules for all. Best regards, --Lyvsy
Hi, if you think a file should be deleted, you can raise a deletion request for it. --JuTa 15:16, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi,

Please provide me an email and I will have the author of AiGD send you an email, stating that he has given me permission to upload this to Wikipedia.--Cube b3 (talk) 08:35, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

License of image

Hello JuTa, this mage is update existing file: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:GraphicConverter_icon.png So this is the same license.

Sincerely --Ferite (talk) 10:24, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi Ferite, I'm sorry but thats so called fair use which is accepted at english wikipedia but not at commons. Compare en:Wikipedia:Fair use and Commons:Fair use. regards. --JuTa 20:26, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

question

i'm still fairly new to this wikipedia and updating and such, the two photos i found came from just googling the names of Bianca Del Rio, and Sharon Needles., I don't know how to make it legit and stay on the page — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lord jafar (talk • contribs) 2014-05-28T15:45:23‎ (UTC)

Hi Lord jafar, you can't ust copy images out of the network an upload them to commons. Thats just a copyright violation. Please read Internet images. regards --JuTa 20:35, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

I think you’re wrong about this

About this. In 2008 this photo was uploaded with the filename File:Philadelphia & Western Railway 206.jpg, which is not risking deletion. The DR asks instead for the deletion of File:Trolley museum, Scranton,PA (201036538).jpg, a filename that existed in Commons for a mere couple days. You as admin should be able to sniff the filehistory for this file and know exactly when in May 2014 I uploaded it. -- Tuválkin 14:59, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

Yep, you are correct. But I don't see a compelling reason to delete the redirect anyhow. It doesn't hurt, does it? --JuTa 18:34, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

File license

Hi, could you please help me determine the appropriate license for file File:Rene Maire.jpg? It was published in Algeria in 1953, but the picture was taken while the person was alive, so a few years before that. Here is the source again. Amr ibnu Kulthoum عمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 02:17, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi, the templates {{PD-Algeria}} or {{PD-Algeria-photo-except}} could fit here. But be aware that the image has to be public domain in the USA too. regards. --JuTa 06:59, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
Great, thanks. Amr ibnu Kulthoum عمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 18:51, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

Regarding Badlands Unlimited company logo file

Hi JuTa,

Thanks for looking at the logo file. I've been in contact with the copyright owner, and he sent an email concerning releasing permissions for the file to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. I want to check with you that we are looking at the same file page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Badlands_Unlimited_company_logo.tif

I've uploaded this file in the past, but I did make the point of tagging it as pending permission email this time around. To avoid deletion of this file, could you advise me as to what steps I should take to get this file approved, beyond having the copyright-holder contact permissions?

This graphic is intended for an article I am currently working on. The most recent editor who declined my submission suggested I upload the company logo before resubmitting, and I hope to get that done as soon as possible. Sorry if I may be neglecting or missing rudimentary steps toward file approval on Commons, I have little to no experience with Wikipedia. Thanks!

Matthewyso (talk) 21:00, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi, yes that was correct now. The template OTRS pending is preventing deletion for about 30 days. If time goes near that border you might ask on Commons:OTRS noticeboard for it. regards. --JuTa 21:09, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

Bild Lizenz

Courtesy note

Hi JuTa! I have nominated for deletion a file that you previously restored. The discussion is here, and the specific file is File:RiB-BrokenStyle.png. The concern is that it appears not to be PD-US, but was originally published in the US. I would appreciate your point of view. Best regards, Storkk (talk) 17:25, 5 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi JuTa! In fact must be 27 may [1]. And I noticed him [2]. There were a discussion on my talk page User talk:Aeou#File:A sadovyy1.jpg (in ukrainian). The file from Lviv city administration is cc-by-nc-nd 3.0. (http://city-adm.lviv.ua/copyrighted-materials). This user already uploaded in march, as I remember - the same file under similar name File:Andrew Sadovyi.jpg. And it was deleted.--Сергій (обг.) 05:10, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

Well, he added the CC template, which is not valid, but he added it. By that reason the "no license" tag does not it anymore. I you realy desire a quicker deletion you might add the {{Copyvio}} tag. regards. --JuTa 10:19, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

Copyright Jean Soustiel

Hello JuTa,

I saw your email, thanks you for your notification. I correct the licence by adding {self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} in the photo ; is it ok now or may the photo be still deleted ?

Anthonian

Hi, I'm sorry, but in this case Madame Soustiel has to send a releasing email to the commons support team as describted in Commons:OTRS. regards. --JuTa 11:16, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Mess in subdivision categories

There is

  • Foo Bar
  • Foo bar
  • Bar of Foo
  • Foo (Bar)

and maybe more. I saw this mess is also the case in Deutsche Wikipedia. Is that the reason you re-inforce it here in Commons? Tamawashi (talk) 23:30, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Its because all of in Category:Municipalities in Slovenia used the lower case "m". There was no mish-mash before ou only moved those with starting letter A-C. So I moved them back an we got a complete "Foo bar" again. regards. --JuTa 23:41, 13 June 2014 (UTC)
I can not do all in one click, can I? I have to start with one. But nice to see your reason is you don't like mish-mash. Tamawashi (talk) 23:43, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for your help with departments of Bolivia! I would now move Foo (Bar), districts of East Timor. The early this all is in order, the better for all people that interact with Commons. Tamawashi (talk) 00:03, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

Category redirect

The ability for normal editors to move categories only went online recently. The remove generates the #REDIRECT, so that when you go to the old cat you're sent to the new. However, this will not work with HotCat, which requires the {{Category redirect}}, which does not forward you to the new cat when you go to it, just displays a message. Until the functionality of these two are combined, both are needed. Please don't revert again. Beyond My Ken (talk) 23:34, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Well, the reason why its lefts out is (IMHO) if one is not empty someone clicks on an image description page he is redirected to the destination category, but the image he came from is not included. He does not see th explaining text of the template either. This will confuse a lot of (new) users. If this behaivior would be changed by a future mediawiki release, a bot has to go through all +100000 entries of Category:Category redirects anyhow, including "your" category. regards --JuTa 23:47, 13 June 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't understand that response. The only was that would happen is if someone moved the cat without moving the images. Beyond My Ken (talk) 14:58, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
Yes, this happenes "often". And if someone else has added that category later to one or multiple images, which also is not unuseable. I just worked in Category:Non-empty category redirects. There were about 80 items after 1-2 weeks I worked that backlog the last time. An I just see again more than 80 Items in since I emptied it this morning. regards --JuTa 16:36, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

Gute Bilder

Delete or not delete?

Hallo JuTa.

--hdamm (talk) 11:39, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Maceo Smith image

Thanks very much for reviewing the image I uploaded. I have attempted to choose the best tag to reflect the fact that the originating website for the image, an African-American history encyclopedia, specifically captioned the image "Image:Public Domain." I have selected the "PD Author" template as the best fit for these facts. My apologies--I'm still getting the hang of all the tag types, and how to employ them via the upload wizard. Respectfully, Rinnenadtrosc (talk) 05:27, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for clarifying the background an the license of the image. I see the "public domain" statement on the source website. But I don't understand why this painting of a man died 1977 should be public domain. The painting was created proparbly uring the 1960s or 70s. The painter still has the copyright in most countries. Might it be {{PD-US-no-notice}} or similar? But this has to checked and verified. But that reason I will start a regular deletion request soon. Hope you understand. regards. --JuTa 10:17, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

Sorry

The bot in deletion requests is not striking. I made a lot of deletion requests and added them into list not one by one, but 26 of them together. This was more convenient for me. I do not use the bot due to restrictions of my computer. Taivo (talk) 14:23, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi Taivo. I'm checking on a more or less daily base the content of Category:Incomplete deletion requests an completing the non complete DRs I find. This morning you were creating those while I was checking. But I regularly find items of yours within Category:Incomplete deletion requests - missing subpage, thou they are complete and the subpage is existing. The reason is (I guess) that you editing manually the file pages before you creating the subpages. If it works for you I recommand you should use the AjaxQuickDelete and/or QuickDelete gadgets within your preferences - see also Help:QuickDelete. This would make the (DR)world much more easier for you (and me). If cannot use those gadgets, a null-edit to the file pages after you created the DR-subpages would kick them aout of Category:Incomplete deletion requests - missing subpage. regards --JuTa 15:31, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi, the copyright holder, which is normaly the person who took the foto, and not the "model", has to release the image under a free license ({{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} is recommanded. He has to document his release by emailing the commons support team as described in Commons:OTRS. regards. --JuTa 12:49, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi, thank you for the prompt response, Mostafa was on to of the "Carstensz Pyramid" highest point in the Australia/Oceana continent. A team member took the photo using Mostafa's camera. Doesn't that make him the owner of the photo?

My Upload

The photo is from 1917. It is older than 70 years. No need to licence. Regards. Tehiptilla Vanand (talk) 04:10, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

I'm sorry every image on Commons needs a vali license. And not the photo needs to be more than 70 years old, in the most countries the photogafer needs to be more than 70 years dead, which makes a huge difference. In this case the author was [:en:Albert Kahn (banker)]]. He died in 1940, which is more than 70 years ago. I'm going to apply the correct license now. For the future please try to do so yourself. Duplicate deletion request

Dear JuTa, Thank you for recently posting on my user page in relation to this file. I received the same post/request a few days earlier which can be seen at the top of my user page. Should I disregard the duplication or is it necessary to respond to both? Thank you for clarifying - you can probably tell this is my first excursion into Wikimedia, so not very sure on my feet. Regards Danh108 (talk) 16:56, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

It was firstly marked as "no license" by another user. As there is a license template on the file description page I changed that to "no permission" an reinformed you as the uploader. The copyright holder, which is normaly the fotografer, has to release the foto under a free license - {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} is recommended - an document this by sending a mail to the commons support team as described in Commons:OTRS. regards. --JuTa 17:03, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Question about a couple of images uploaded by an editor

User:Ragdeenorc has uploaded 2 images and added them to my talk page: File:1UNDUE.PNG and File:111 edit warring.PNG - I'm guessing these aren't appropriate here? Now to go figure out what the squabble is about. Danke. Dougweller (talk) 11:23, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't realy understand what you trying to ask me. I looks like you have some touble with this user on en:, but thats shouln't be a theme here on commons.
If you asking if the licenses of those screenshots are correct. Well for File:1UNDUE.PNG there could be an incorrect authorship claimed. Who wrote the text of the article withing the screenshot? The image looks ike {{PD-old}}. For File:111 edit warring.PNG there coul be {{PD-simple}} or similar more suitable.
Or whats your question? --JuTa 11:43, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

Dumme Frage

File:Eduard-Mulder.jpg

Hello, I saw your comment concerning license prolem with the image of the ABBIRB1410 robot. I thank you for the comment, that is right, but I am disapointed that you completely ignore my answers to your past comments, and you quoted a license problem with the image although the problem is explicitely explained in the discussion page of the image. Hello, I contacted ABB to have their authorization. I do not know what kind of autorization it is, but I have their writen agrement to use this picture.
How can I make a valid license with that? Thank you for your help, Alexandre.willame (d) 14:26, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
Hello, the copyright holders has to release the image(s) under a free license ({{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} is recommanded here). They have to document this by sending a mail to the commons support team as described in Commons:OTRS. Once you know this has been done, you better replace the problem tag with {{subst:OP}}. This will prevent deletion for about a mounth or until the case will be decided as valid or invalid. regards. --JuTa 15:31, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
Wow. Putting this image on Wikipedia was made on my initiative after having their written agreement. I do not know how to make license and those kind of things, but I do not think such a big company as ABB will spend hours making licenses just so their images can go on Wikipedia. Is there any other way? I have their explicit written authorization. Sincerely, Alexandre.willame (talk) 13:48, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

I saw that you had deleted my image, I have full permission for the image since I am the one that took it. I also made sure I didn't use an image that was used online already. It was flagged before because of incomplete copyright licence. I tried adding my licence yesterday and tried releasing the image out into the public domain. I am still new to commons and wiki, so I had left a question about it on the pictures discussion page, because I was not sure how or where to add the licence. Could you help me in getting the image un-deleted and help fulfill all the necessary parameters to keep the image up.

Hi, as it was prepublished in the net - see http://blog.findable.in/findable-in-takes-you-to-the-other-side-of-bacardi-nh7-weekender/ - we would need a verification through the so called OTRS-proceure. HABS place cats

Hi, I note you are recategorizing some of the HABS files. Automated housekeeping on these will be quite active for a week or two yet. I have added your name as an exception to adding/changing place categories (i.e. if your account name appears in the edit history, then place categories will not be touched, though other stuff might be). If any change from this point concerns you, please drop me a note and I'll try to ensure that housekeeping behaves itself. Hi, every image on Commons needs to use valid license templates, compare Commons:Licensing an Commons:Copyright tags. Unfortunatly you uploaded your image completely without such a license template. In your case there might be {{PD-text}} or {{PD-simple}} fitting. But there is normaly no need for such easy formula images. On wikipages you can create them with the co called TeX tags, see i.e. es:Ayuda:Uso de TeX. regards. --JuTa 07:32, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi, This is to follow-up on the recent and unnecessary nominations for deletion by Carriearchdale of some of my photos that I contributed. This user is currently being considered in the administrative noticeboard in Wikipedia for an indefinite block due to her/his conduct. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks, Daniellagreen (talk) 18:02, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I just fixed a malformed deletion request and informed you as the uploader, which the nominator normaly shoul do. regards. --JuTa 07:45, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
Guten tag. I also wanted to follow-up just for your information regarding the deletion requests by the nominator that I identified above as I have made an administrative report regarding their conduct at [4]. The deletion requests appear to have been made in bad faith (though one of the images actually should be deleted) by the individual, and she has carried her conduct over here at WikiCommons, having already made a threat to me on my discussion page that things will not turn out good for me. Please note that the deletion nominator was indefinitely blocked at Wikipedia yesterday. Thank you for your consideration, Daniellagreen (talk) (cont) 23:26, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I saw that you deleted the image I uploaded yesterday (and I admit that I expected this to happend). I'm very new to Wikimedia so I don't know how to act here, the image I want to upload is the logo of a German record label disestablished in the 1990 and it's almost impossible to find any information about it, to find a way to contact the former owner to ask the permission to upload it it's even harder. It thought anyway that after 25 years from the disestablishment problably it would be free of copyright and free to be posted here, what do you think? What copyright tag should I put in this situation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sciacallo010 (talk • contribs) 2014-07-12T06:31:04‎ (UTC)

Hi I fear that there is no vali license tag for this image. Copyright expires in Germany 70 years after the death of the author. 25 years ago is far to less to assume its not copyrighted. There would be i.e. {{PD-textlogo}} but the 3D-character of the logo exceeds IMHO the so calles Commons:Threshold of originality. regards --JuTa 13:05, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for your quick response. You can delete this image immediately, because it's too sophisticated process to obtain image licence for begginer as me. I'll continue work with SOFIA's page without additional grafic information. Regards, DryominG (talk) 09:24, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi, yes, when you change the source and the license you can remove the problem tag too. regards. --JuTa 22:03, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
