Batch categorization request

Hi, I remember that you were able to magic a template into some hundred files from a certain user. Could you please do so again for all ~170-180 files of User "User:Marquinhos" that are named "Brazil Rio Grande do Norte <...> location map.svg"? (Here's an imperfect search result) Those would be needed to be put into Category:Locator maps of municipalities of Rio Grande do Norte. Gadget for disambiguations

Mass-Categorizing again

Hi Jeff, I want to thank you for linking this VFC tool to me recently. As a first time user, I hope I'm using it correctly currently (reeling in the files for Category:Maps of Natura 2000 in France via the append-text action). Is there something you think I should reconsider when doing this?

Also, I seem to have to reload the tool each time after I performed a batch task (I can't perform another action after completed execution) and I have completely restart my selection process. Is that supposed to be normal? --Enyavar (talk) 13:06, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

@Enyavar: You're welcome. The names of the selected files should be automatically saved in the auto-profile in your browser. If they are not, use the profile dialog to save them into a profile (publicly on the server, privately on your local system, or both) before executing; then you can load that profile later. Cross-wiki upload tool doesn't allow changing edit summary

Thank you for your efforts on Commons talk:Abuse filter to explain Special:AbuseFilter/153 to people caught by it, which I saw while requesting a related abuse filter change. I noticed, though, that your standard answer mentions "leaving the summary intact" and suggests that the user "change the summary". However, the Cross-wiki media upload tool targeted by that filter doesn't allow the uploader to change the edit summary. I think it would be better not to mention the edit summary, since that's likely to send users looking for something that they can't change. --bjh21 (talk) 12:36, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
