Hi! You just marked a Qustodio software logo (‪File:Qustodio original logo.jpg) for speedy deletion. That's fine as I can see you are well respected admin and I clearly did something wrong, but I'd love your help to do it right. The legal team behind the logo gave me permission to publish it as Non-Free use logo. I tried to follow the instructions on how to do that, but clearly did something wrong. I need help with a user who is possibly cyber stalking myself

Hey @Jeff G.: ! I've been dealing with a user in Administration discussions both on Wikipedia and Wikicommons. User:The Eloquent Peasant has done many actions that can be described as disruptive editing and ive explained it on the commons admin board and the Wikipeida incidents board. The user made a statement about my personal life/hobbys which is Micronationalism... Slight issue... I never state on wikimedia that I run a micronation nor that I am part of one. I have a account on another Wiki called "Microwiki" which is what i use to contribute to Micronational related topics. It appears then to myself that the user is "looking" myself up to form false pretenses about myself to have a upper hand in discussions on Wikimedia. To be very honest its very creepy and makes me feel a little uncomfortable since the MicroWiki has information on my real name, my associates, etc. I've asked and pinged a few admins for help but nobody has responded so i'm going to you as a last resort since you where involved in one of the discussions. The user has lately been making very absurd comments and claims about myself and I don't need this person bothering me more by digging into my personal life. Summer creates

Hi Jeff, I saw you marked all the posters I submitted as for deletion due to copyright. I don't know what you need. The filmmaker, Diana Cignoni, gave me written permission in an email to publish them all. Do I need her to fill out the template since she is the owner and who created them or do I fill out the template? or is there another form that will make sense since I created and am using on her page but she holds the rights to them? I just wanted to stop by and thank for restoring my faith in the humanity of Wikimedians. The last wikimedian I informed about a problem on their userpage turned around and accused me of being a troll. I inform others about problems on their userpage in the hope that they, or some other wikimedian, will reciprocate one day. It is easy to lose track of what is going on on one's userpage, and the longer one spends on this project the more likely it will happen.

The importance of edit summaries

I wonder if both of us are in the minority? I see many users contributing excellent content, but I must drill in to see what they contribute because they omit to use an edit summary, which in many cases means that I skip some excellent additions due to lack of time. How long does a typical deletion discussion last?

Sometimes it takes a couple of days and, while it's good to be vigilant, it would be appreciated if you would allow this time in order to sort out the copyright status and get the necessary permissions.

Getting flagged right away, without allowing for a reasonable processing time, gets the wikipedia volunteers demotivated.

A question

Hi Jeff, I hope you don't mind my posting here. I was hoping for some advice. I've been helping the People's Action Party of Singapore upload some of their promotional materials to Commons (and you've been helpful with one of the tickets). It's been complicated establishing their ownership of the copyright of each photo, mostly because the photos are taken professionally but also routinely by a variety of photographers. The photographs are all taken for party promotional purposes, form part of the party's photo bank, and there is otherwise no controversy over their ownership. They are used extensively all over Singapore in prominently displayed posters and banners. It is difficult to find evidence of the assignment of copyright for individual photos from a photo bank. My question is: is it a reasonable alternative for these photos to be instead uploaded and then imported from Flickr? I ask because it seems convenient (and the PAP is very happy to stand by their ownership of the copyrights to these photos) but I am keen not to come across as trying to side-step any of the rules. Crop Tool issue

Hey Jeff G. Are you aware of the crop tool complication that a lot of users are experiencing? At first I thought that it was just me but after looking at the Crop Tool's talk page I realized that the tool has some sort of a bug. A doctored image?

I happened to see two files loaded to commons by the same user within days of each other. They look pretty similar but the second looks like it was doctored, not sure?
