Pylon van Rommen[edit]

Dag Gouwenaar, File:Pylon van Rommen.jpg De foto heeft denk ik niet de juiste naam van de kunstenaar. Ik heb zelf ook foto's van de kolommen (pylonnen) gemaakt en op de kolommen staat de naam G. v. Dag Agaath, dank voor je bericht. Bij mijn vermelding ben ik uitgegaan van "Beelden in Gouda, kunst van de twintigste eeuw" door Oscar van Wijk. Hij heeft op pag. 105 enkele foto's van het kunstwerk opgenomen met de vermelding "G.H. van Rommen, Twee Pylonen, 1964, Natuursteen, Willem de Zwijgersingel". Op blz. 48 beschrijft hij het kunstwerk en noemt de maker dan "G.H. van Rommen". Maar ik denk, dat jij gelijk hebt. (Van) Rommen komt ook niet voor in het bestand van de RKD. Ik vond het wel verrassend. Ik maakte de foto in Gouda in 2008. Daarna fotografeerde ik zijn werk, ruim 250 kilometer van Gouda verwijderd, in Musselkanaal. Maar ik heb de link toen niet gelegd. Ik heb mijn foto in de lijst van beelden van Gouda vervangen door de jouwe. Jouw foto is van recentere datum en ook mooier dan de indertijd door mij geplaatste afbeelding (met toen niet te vermijden hekwerk op de achtergrond). Hallo Gouwenaar, ik zag je revert. Zou hier een gebruiker "rondhangen" die Hebreeuws spreekt en kan aangesproken worden om de tekst op de Grafsteen te vertalen? Lotje (talk) 04:27, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

De vertaling van die tekst is al in 2010 door een gebruiker onder ip-nummer toegevoegd aan het artikel over de Joodse begraafplaats in Veenhuizen. Ik maakte de revert omdat het gegeven dat Jetta Jacoba Niewied op de tweede dag van Rosh Hashanah werd begraven toevallig is en geen relatie heeft met die feestdag. Grafstenen van mensen die begraven zijn op 1 januari of op 1e of 2e kerstdag horen ook niet in de categorie nieuwjaarsdag, c.q. kerst geplaatst te worden. Er is immers geen relatie tussen de dag van begraven en het desbetreffende feest. Gouwenaar (talk) 12:16, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
