Hello again! Could it be possible that we collaborate once again, this time to update and clean up File:Organization of Autocephalus Eastern Orthodox Churches.svg?
Someone already requested an update, but I doubt anyone will be able to update this schematic as it requires both skills in SVG image editing and Eastern Orthodoxy. The uploader is an admin so I doubt he/she has the time to update it, so I did not even think about asking him/her. Veverve (talk) 20:38, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

By the way, here you indicated the map was a derivative from File:BlankMap-World gray.svg but I think you made a mistake since by comparing the drawing style with the one of your map, I think you must have used another map. Veverve (talk) 04:48, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
@Veverve: Regarding derivative so to me it means I use something as a base and then change it to fit my needs. So it will not be exactly as the source.
I would like you to check with the uploader first, I know one doesn't have to but the file is not to old. Also there is a difference in updating or making a new version? --Goran tek-en (talk) 11:01, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
The autocephalous w:Orthodox Church of Ukraine now exists, and the w:Archdiocese of Russian Orthodox churches in Western Europe has switched jurisdiction: it has left Constantinople and joined the Moscow Patriarchate. Also, the legend has lots of problems; I will go into details later if we are to work on the image. Veverve (talk) 11:37, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
@Veverve: As I said before, check with the creator, out of courtesy, and if the creator doesn't want to I will help you. --Goran tek-en (talk) 15:30, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
The creator answered and we are working together. However, I have another request for you: could you translate File:Kievan Rus in 1237 (ru).svg in English? There are numerous versions of this map on , but none are in English. Veverve (talk) 03:50, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

@Veverve: I can help you but for me I think it would be easier if you gave me the translations from this version file:Kievan_Rus_in_1237_(fi).svg but I will use the map from the Russian version as there are some differences. So put the translations here, thanks. --Goran tek-en (talk) 16:27, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

Thanks! Is a rough edit made with MS Paint what you need, or do you want me to proceed otherwise? Veverve (talk) 16:34, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
@Veverve: No, what I want is written translation here. To make it easier for me to find we can start at top left corner-work to the right.Go down one "level"-work to the right and so on. Write it here like this:
Finish, English
Finish2, English2
Use correct small or capital letters and else, as I will copy from here and paste. --Goran tek-en (talk) 18:07, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
As a sidenote, I noticed while translating that 1) in the Russian version, the Sami had been moved up North, in Karelia, 2) some texts is present in the Russian version but not on the Finnish translation. Veverve (talk) 12:18, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
Also, Печора (w:ru:Печора (племя)) has been translated to "Komeja" (Komi people), but it seems to me like a wrong translation. Veverve (talk) 12:26, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
@Veverve: The reason that I prefer that you use the Finish file is that it will be easier for me to find the names to translate. If you need to use the Russian file for some names or where to put them please do so, just mark them in some way. The exact location of names we can fix as we have some drafts to look at. --Goran tek-en (talk) 17:25, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
Ok, no problem then. Veverve (talk) 17:45, 19 January 2020 (UTC)

Translation

I also translated one word from Russian to English because it had not been translated in Finnish and you could have mistaken it for the word next to it.

Veverve (talk) 01:24, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

@Veverve: Thanks for that great translation.
I couldn't find the names in this image.
Do you want me to try to follow bold, and bigger smaller letters from the fi version? --Goran tek-en (talk) 19:04, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
The names you did not find are those which are not in the Russian original (the Finnish translator added some names), apart from the Kingdom of Sweden:
  • Karjalaisia = Karelians; RUOTSIN K.K. = Kingdom of Sweden; Turku = Turku; Vatjalaisia = [there is a problem with this one: Vatjalaisia means the Votes, but on the Russian map they are at "ВОДЬ" in Estonia which is historically correct, and the Finnish translator translated "ВОДЬ" as "Narvajoki" (Eng. tr.: "Narva River") for unknown reasons. So leave out this Vatjalaisia.]; Bysantin etc. = Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire
Also, not everythig in Russian was translated to Finnish (the Finnish translator also removed some names). This is why it is important that you use the Russian map (i.e. the one with Russian names) as you told me you would.
As for the font, use capital letters when I used them in my translation. For the rest concerning the font, we will polish this area once we have the map fully translated.

Draft 2

@Veverve: Draft-2.

So give me feedback on what/how to change. --Goran tek-en (talk) 18:21, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

See File:Kievan Rus in 1237 (ru).svg
1) Sàmi people is here.
2) Kingdom of Sweden is here(above Uppsala).
3) Karelians is here (apparently they were on the Russian map, sorry!).
4) This (w:ru:Новгородская земля) is "Novgorod Land"
5) Sum tribe is here.
Once those are corrected, we will think about the formatting. Veverve (talk) 20:00, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Draft 3

@Veverve: Draft-3. --Goran tek-en (talk) 16:44, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Ok, good job! So, we need to make a different font to differnciate country names and cities. I will throw my suggestion, but feel free to do however you want if you have a better idea. So here are my suggestions:
for names of countries outside the Kievian Rus: in bold and a Times New Roman-like font. Those are: Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Kingom of Sweden, Kindgom of Norway, Kingdom of Poland, Kingdom of Hungary, Volgar Bulgaria, Principality of Wallachia
for names of countries within the Kievian Rus: in dark blue, and in DejaVu Sans. Those are: Principalty of Vladimir-Suzdal, Muromo-Ryazan Principality, Principality of Galicia–Volhynia, Novgorod Land. Moreover, principalties named after their capital (e.g. the w:Principality of Kiev) should have their capital in the same font. Those are: KIEV, TCHERNIGOV, SMOLENSK, PEREIASLAV, POLOTSK, RYAZAN.
Veverve (talk) 17:01, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
@Veverve: I'm sorry but you have to give me the "names of countries within the Kievian Rus" also, thanks. --Goran tek-en (talk) 19:46, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Done. Veverve (talk) 19:50, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Please do not remove Draft 3. Veverve (talk) 20:33, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
PEREIASLAV should be PEREYASLAVL
the territories of the Principalty of Turov and the Muromo-Ryazan Principality should not be in green but in another colour which is not currently used in the map. The territory of the principalty of Pereyaslavl should also be in another colour which is not currently used in the map. Veverve (talk) 20:44, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
"Black Sea" is here. Veverve (talk) 22:37, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Draft 4

@Veverve: Draft-4. --Goran tek-en (talk) 16:04, 25 January 2020 (UTC)

Principalty of Wallachia should be in the same font as the countries outside of the K. Rus.
RYAZAN should have a normal font (sorry, my bad).
TUROV should have the font of the countries inside the K. Rus, cf. w:Principalty of Turov.
Those green lines should be in the same colour as the Muromo-Ryazan Principalty.
The Principalty of Turov should be in another colour which is not already used.
the capital cities of the principalties which are named after their capital should have their capital in the exact same font and the exact same font colour. Currently, the capital cities of the principalties which are named after their capital have their font in light blue, while the fonts of the country names are in dark blue. Both should be dark blue.
Veverve (talk) 16:47, 25 January 2020 (UTC)

Draft 5

@Veverve: Draft-5. --Goran tek-en (talk) 19:17, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

Good job!
The name "Grand Duchy of Lithuania" should be here.
The seas ("Baltic (Varegian) Sea", "White Sea", "Black Sea", "Sea of Azov (Sourozh)", "Caspian (Khvalisy) Sea") should have a different font type. Choose what you want!
Tribes and peoples should have a different font (I suggest something like w:Constantia (typeface)) with a different colour (I think light brown would do the trick). Tribes and peoples are: Tavastians, Sámi people, Nenets people, Mansi people, Petchora tribe, Permians, Zavoloshka Chudes, Sum tribe, Votes, Udmurt people, Curonians, Livonians, Latgalians, Mari people, Semigallians, Bashkirs, Aukštaitians, Mordvins, Yotvingians, Tatars, Old Prussians, Aesti.
I think the Byzantine Empire should be added (image). It is a country outside the K. Rus and therefore the font should be the same as the Kingdom of Poland, Kingdom of Hungary, etc.

Draft 6

@Veverve: Draft-6. --Goran tek-en (talk) 18:35, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

For the names of the seas: very good!
For the names of the peoples and tribes: that's not it at all; the huge shadow behind the letters is a very bad idea. The letters should be in colour, and the names must use another font. Veverve (talk) 18:43, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

Draft 7

@Veverve: Draft-7. We try to stick to some standards when creating maps regarding fonts and others. Also I don't think many people can see a big difference between different serif fonts. --Goran tek-en (talk) 18:57, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

Very good job!
"Karelians" should also be in tribe colour.
could you make it so that the names of the tribes which are stretched and in diagonal in the map in Russian are also extendend and in diagonal in your map? Here is how they are:
Tatars
Nenets people
Petchora tribe
Permians
Mansi people
Tavastians
Veverve (talk) 19:40, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

Draft 8

@Veverve: Draft-8. Once we have uploaded this I will see if extending text like this will work on commons, I'm not sure. If it doesn't work I have a way to make it work but that means removing text information so I will wait until we see how it works. --Goran tek-en (talk) 14:23, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Wonderful! We are almost done.
  • "Aukstatians" is supposed to be this way.
  • "Samogitia" must be changed to "Samogitians" and use the tribe colour. The name is this way.

Veverve (talk) 14:54, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Draft 9

@Veverve: Draft-9.--Goran tek-en (talk) 18:02, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

"Novogorod" should be "Novgorod"
Mordvins
"Yotvingians" should be moved just a tiny bit more to the right, cf. https://imgur.com/QIcMu7F
Once it is done, we are good to upload! Veverve (talk) 18:19, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Draft 10

@Veverve: Draft-10.
I will need the following;

  • Name of the file
  • Description (/language)
  • Captions/s (/language)
  • Category/ies at commons

to be able to upload it at commons. If you don'y know about Captions read here.--Goran tek-en (talk) 13:35, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Are you still available to fulfill the request I made one month ago? Veverve (talk) 18:43, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
Moved to here
Hello again! Could you fix this map?
I have written the problems here, I will reformulate it more precisely:

  • French Guyana, i.e. this country in red, should be in grey like in the previous versions
  • The Swaziland (now called "Eswatini"), i.e. this country in dark blue, is "SZ,Swaziland,72" and therefore should be in this coulour (currently it has not colour at all).
  • Greenland should be in grey like in the previous versions.
  • Puerto Rico is currently in the "> 95" colour, but the data says "PR,Puerto Rico,84". Therefore, Puerto Rico should be in this colour.
  • Those blue islands in the West Indiesshould be in grey, i.e. the sovereign nations in orange must not be changed.

Veverve (talk) 15:54, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

By "grey" I mean this. Veverve (talk) 16:06, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

Oh, and happy new year! Veverve (talk) 16:06, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

@Veverve: I could, but as always I'm cautious not to get mixed up in some kind of disagreement and I can see you had some discussions with @Olivello: . So before doing anything I would like to hear from that user/creator (or to get a good explanation for this). --Goran tek-en (talk) 17:08, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
Well, I have not heard from Olivello since two days, hence why I asked you. Veverve (talk) 18:31, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

Request for the Marcion hypothesis

Checkmark This section is resolved and can be archived. If you disagree, replace this template with your comment. Veverve (talk) 12:07, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello! I have come again with a request to better illustrate the w:Marcion hypothesis. I would need two schematics. You can take inspiration from this image for the structure, and use this image as a graphical standard (colours, forms of the squares, etc.). You cannot change those colours. Please bear in mind:

  • do not put a title inside the image
  • The Marcion square should be in darkish blue.

The pages of the essay where those schematics are from are here (Matthias Klinghardt, Das älteste Evangelium und die Entstehung der kanonischen Evangelien). I would need you to reproduce those which are on page 191 and 193, but with plain arrow lines.
If possible, could you release your schematics under CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0)? Veverve (talk) 00:57, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Veverve I can help you but not for a while. If you haven't heard from me by end of august just give me a ping, thanks. --Goran tek-en (talk) 08:14, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Also, the difference between a strong and a weak dependency should be visible with the arrows (see pages 191 and 193). Veverve (talk) 15:12, 15 August 2020 (UTC) @Goran tek-en: Veverve (talk) 05:53, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Veverve There will not be a big difference between a dark blue and Matt but we can check that later. In 193 which color should Joh be? I hope green can go. --Goran tek-en (talk) 18:04, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
John should be light brown. Maybe a magenta Marcion would be better? Veverve (talk) 18:24, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

@Goran tek-en: Hello. Since it has been a few days and because last time you forgot my request, I am worried that you may have forgotten me, si I ping you. Veverve (talk) 15:57, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Veverve No I haven't forgotten you, it's just that other parts of life has had higher priority. --Goran tek-en (talk) 15:13, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
Ok, no problem, take your time. Veverve (talk) 15:15, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
Veverve Now there is a draft of 193. The draft is a png but the file I will upload is a svg. Give me feedback, anything is OK. --Goran tek-en (talk) 12:03, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
  • "Jonathan" should be "John"
  • Could you use the exact same style as File:Synoptic Theory Mk-Q+Mt en.svg for everything (colours for Matthew, Marc and Luke, arrows, boxes, font) ? I am no graphic designer, but I would suggest using one of the preexisting models, e.g.File:Synoptic Theory Marcan Priority en.svg, and modify it.
  • I now realise that pink and brown are already taken. I guess Marcion could use beige, and John a light blue.
  • I have checked what is said in the book, and it is not clear what the dotted arrows mean (and its use is inconsistent, e.g. between Mcn and Mk). Therefore, I will ask you to use plain arrows for each relations.

Veverve (talk) 12:54, 28 August 2020 (UTC)

Veverve 193-1. --Goran tek-en (talk) 13:44, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
Very good! However, I find Marcion's box a bit too grey, so can you try with this beige? Veverve (talk) 14:20, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
Veverve 193-2. --Goran tek-en (talk) 14:53, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
Perfect! Could you make a similar image for the diagram on page 191 and upload both under CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0)? Veverve (talk) 14:57, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
Veverve Draft 191.

Can you change the one with the four canonical gospels so that John is below Matthew, in order to be more faithful to Klinghardt's original diagram? Here is a draft version to help you visualise. Veverve (talk) 18:18, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

Resquest: SVG version of the coat of arms of the Ecumenical Patriarchate

Hello. Could you make an SVG version of File:CoA of the Ecumenical Patriarchate Constantinople (St. George's Cathedral of Istanbul version).png? Veverve (talk) 10:01, 14 September 2020 (UTC)

Veverve I can't tell you exactly when but pretty soon. --Goran tek-en (talk) 17:17, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks! Veverve (talk) 17:35, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
@Veverve: Do you know that the crown used is this. Is there no image of what it looked like, I find some but I don't know which is correct.
Any parts from this correct? --Goran tek-en (talk) 15:52, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
I do not know, but it really looks like File:Royal Crown of Denmark.svg. Veverve (talk) 15:54, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
@Veverve: But is it a problem? How about my second link, anything to use? Don't you know how it should look? --Goran tek-en (talk) 16:31, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
I do not believe it is a problem, since I believe it is quite close to the model, but feel free to change if you feel it is not close enough. This model is File:Byzantine eagle.JPG (from orther angles: File:Stgeorgeistanbul3.JPG, File:Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.JPG, File:Church of St. George, Istanbul (August 2010).jpg, File:Church of St George 8763.jpg) Veverve (talk) 16:59, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
Here is a better model: a more recent version from the official website of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Note for later: it is described as "Στὰ βημόθυρα τῆς Ὡραίας Πύλης ὑψώνεται τὸ αἰώνιον σύμβολον τοῦ Πατριαρχείου, ὁ δικέφαλος ἀετός." ("the eternal symbol of the Patriarchate, the double-headed eagle.") (source) and "an all-round double-headed eagle, the emblem of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and a symbol of the hopes of the Nation, which goes back to the Byzantine imperial symbolism." (source) Veverve (talk) 01:45, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

Do you need anymore help or precisions? Veverve (talk) 16:49, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

@Veverve: I am actually working on it but so far I haven't been content with the result. I also have other things going on so it will take some time. --Goran tek-en (talk) 10:04, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Ok, should you need any indicztion do not hesitate. Veverve (talk) 14:38, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
@Veverve: I have had some trouble deciding how to draw this. File:CoA of the Ecumenical Patriarchate Constantinople (St. George's Cathedral of Istanbul version).png has several different types of things in it; 2D, 3D, shadings, perspective and so on. When I then look at dikefalos there are some differences against the one mentioned above. So I have tried different stiles and not been happy with either. Now I have draft for you which is a 2D straight forward type of illustration. Give me feedback, thanks. --Goran tek-en (talk) 16:32, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

I think making it simply 2D is good.

Veverve (talk) 16:55, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

veverve Regarding the bible it's hard for me to understand your request. The photo is shot from below and a bit to the left showing a 3D sculpture. The cross to the left, legs, leaves everything has a depth as it is a 3D sculpture. Turning that into 2D illustration you have to imagine yourself looking at it from a position straight in front of it and at the same height. To me it feels really strange to draw one piece of the whole illustration in another way. What I can see is that the bible might have an angle which I add, draft-2. --Goran tek-en (talk) 12:30, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
If you look from other angles (e.g. File:Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.JPG), you can see the Bible+cross is inclined even as a 2D model: it is not an inclined rectangle but a w:parallelogram, e.g. File:Trapeze transforme parallelogramme.svg. The Bible+cross should look like this; moreover, as you can see the lines of the cross should be parallell to the lines of the parallelogram. Veverve (talk) 14:48, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
veverve To me that picture, taking from right below, shows the right side thickness of the bible just as the other picture from left shows the left side. You can also on this picture see that the front cover of the bible is parallel to the background. This means that if you took a picture straight on you would not be able to see any of the sides of the bible. --Goran tek-en (talk) 09:48, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
I do not ask you to put the thickness, as it is a purely 2D image we are going for. Still, even in 2D and looking straight at the model, the Bible would be a paralellogram and not a square, with a Christian cross whose lines are parallel to the lines of said parallelogram. Veverve (talk) 15:37, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Veverve Sorry, then I misunderstood you about the thickness. Why should it be a parallelogram? The bible is parallel to the background, not tilting in any direction. --Goran tek-en (talk) 09:57, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
From what I see, it is not tilted in any direction, but is a parallelogram like here and not a square. It is a mere parallelogram, not a representaton of thickness. I do not know really what the parallelogram represents; I call it "Bible" but it does not really look like one. Veverve (talk) 15:10, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Veverve Sorry for my persistent on this. To me, there is no reason for a book, which in most cultures is accepted as a rectangular, to be a parallelogram. Is it just what you see on those photos taken from different angels that tells you this or do you know something else. I just can't understand why? --Goran tek-en (talk) 17:51, 26 October 2020
I called it a "Bible", but I do not think it is one; it seems more like a simple decoration, hence why it is a parallelogram. I was lead to call it "Bible" due to File:CoA of the Ecumenical Patriarchate Constantinople (St. George's Cathedral of Istanbul version).png portraying it as a Bible, with a binding, covers and a disctinction between pages inside and the covers. However, on the original statue there is no way to identify this parallelogram as a bible. Hence why I believe is is a decorative parallelogram and not a Bible. Veverve (talk) 18:08, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
Veverve But to me this image shows pretty clear that it is a book. --Goran tek-en (talk) 18:27, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
Do what you believe is the most faithful for this piece then. Veverve (talk) 02:13, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Veverve Then you should check draft-2. and give me feedback, thanks.

On your request above, if you are happy with it please put the code {{section resolved|1=~~~~}} on that request so it can be archived, thanks. --Goran tek-en (talk) 12:05, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Veverve New version with ribbon tie corrected. Have you seen how many pages that already use it, how can they know it exists? --Goran tek-en (talk) 14:12, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the fix, very good job as always. As for your question, I am afraid I do not understandwhat you are trying to say. What do you mean by "how can they know it exists?", what is the "it"? Youcan see how many pages use your image here. Veverve (talk) 15:56, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Veverve What I mean is how does the editors/creators of all those pages know that this illustration was made. They can't check everything new being uploaded to commons... --Goran tek-en (talk) 16:51, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
I have worked to replace most images of the CoA by your version, as you can see here. Otherwise, you can still try to post at various Wikiprojects interested in the matter such as w:Wikipedia:WikiProject Eastern Orthodoxy or w:Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity. Veverve (talk) 16:57, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Veverve I know some about commons and graphic work here but all this other within the hole of wikimedia is hard to grasp. How all of you editors organize your work is really interesting but outside of my knowledge's. When you think of it, it's really fantastic that wikimedia work as well as it does in spite of being open and without strict rules, I really like it. That is the reason for me to do my work here, free knowledge for everyone. --Goran tek-en (talk) 17:21, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Veverve I removed your edit on File:CoA of the Ecumenical Patriarchate Constantinople (St. George's Cathedral of Istanbul version).png because what I put there is the way which is used here to show when a svg version exist of a png and the svg is a better format. --Goran tek-en (talk) 11:09, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

I am not really aware of all of Commons' policies. I thought that since it was not a SVG version of this image, but rather an image which is quite different, it could not be considered as an SVG version but was an "other version". Veverve (talk) 11:15, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
Veverve Yes it's tricky, there are no absolut lines here. To me the differences are not that big, they are (for me) within what I normally change when I do a svg version. But if it feels totally wrong for you then please change it back to Other version. --Goran tek-en (talk) 12:10, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Map of countries using imperial and metric systems

Veverve Things changed so I started with this. Draft. There are some small islands in north america I'm not sure about. Do you want the legend in the map or in the infobox? Do you want the two country names also? --Goran tek-en (talk) 15:18, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
Thanks.
The article says: "Only three countries – the U.S., Liberia and Myanmar – still (mostly or officially) stick to the imperial system" and "The UK is the country stuck in the middle of both systems" Therefore, all countries except those four should be in blue.
I would like the legend to be on the map. There is enough space on the left side of the map to put the legend there, like in the Statista map.
Veverve (talk) 16:04, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
Veverve I don't really read an article when provided like that. I do graphic work, not research, translations etc. I look at the map, you tell me if it's correct.
I understand, and did not expect you to read the article, but I provided you the relevant information to back up my request.
You forgot to colour Luxembourg in blue it seems.
I believe I believe it would be better top put a simple legend like the one used by Statistas ("Metric or mostly metric", "Mostly imperial", "Mix between metric and imperial").
Veverve (talk) 16:36, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
Veverve Ok, so no country names at all? --Goran tek-en (talk) 16:42, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

Can you help?  Imbe  hind 💊 18:07, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

Imbehind Hi and thanks for asking
  • First it is very important to categorize each file so it can be found, I have added [[Category:Jasenovac concentration camp]] for you. There are so many categories but you need to learn about them.
  • You linked to a file at en wikipedia as the 'original' but it is not. Further down on that page there is a link to 'description page' which is the original. All images, media has its original at commons, no where else, then they are linked to different wikipedias.
  • There are a lot of different templates to use to add the information needed so you should read and check how people has used it at different files, there are so many ways. There are so many templates which are very useful to learn about.
  • You should always tell what source you have used, really always, but you have to make sure you can use it. Here at commons you can use everything as long as you follow each files license, just as you are doing now so that is great.
  • I have added |source={{own}} {{Derived from|Jasenovac camps.svg}} and that is the way I do this when it's within commons. Also a template.
  • I have also added 'other versions' so people easier can find those.
  • I don't know how long you have been doing this, but always try to put in as much relevant info as possible, you never know how it will be used in the future.
  • I hope this helped, if not just get back to me, thanks. ✓ Done also a template. --Goran tek-en (talk) 19:11, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
