Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Overcategorization

Hi:

You seem to make do mass uploads with very generic categories. Could you restrain the number of categories in your uploads and use the most precise sub-category. For instance, a mother-category such as Category:Nature should not be used as it too vague. If you upload a picture of waves crashing on a beach, use the category Category:Water waves or better Category:Crashing waves, not "Nature".

Birds of Vizag

Hi, I'm going to images submitted for Wiki loves Vizag and found that, there are around 100 pics of Birds from Vizag. Are these birds captured with GVMC limit? Invitation to participate in Tribal Culture Photography Competition

Hello Dr. Ashok, Indian Tribal Photography contest is online, you can find more information at Tribal Culture Photography Competition. Contest will run from 00:01 28 April to 23:59 28 May 2024 (UTC+05:30).

Indian Tribal Culture

Culture can be defined as the way of life of a society that builds up over a long period of time. Arts, beliefs, religion, rituals and institutions of a population that are passed down from generation to generation are the part of it. Tribes in this context are the indigenous tribes. There are over 700 type of tribes in India and each tribe has it's own language, beliefs and customs. Know more about the tribes of India here. The theme has been divided in three different categories and they are as follows-

1. Tribal Festival and Rituals
2. Tribal Costume and Jewelleries
3. Tribal food.

While submitting the entries, participants need to submit following details in 6-10 sentences along with the photographs-

1. Name of the tribe
2. Geographical location of the photograph taken
3. Subject of the photograph.
