Your remarks on deletion pages[edit]

Hi. I've noticed your non-sensic remarks on deletion pages. If you want to be taken seriously here you should avoid these and, espêcially, accusations of censorship like here. Kind regards, --Patrick Rogel (talk) 11:37, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't accusing WC of censorship, but replying to someone who was advocating it, however implicitly. My response was a simple link—nothing more.DMBFFF (talk) 04:23, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File:JUJU.JPG[edit]

Hello there. I noticed your comment in Commons:Deletion requests/File:JUJU.JPG, which seems to be supportive of not deleting the file. If that’s so, it would be more effective if you preffix your contribution with *{{vk}}: , adding a keep-vote to the tally in that way. -- Tuválkin 23:33, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled rights given[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you.. - FitIndia Talk Mail 06:21, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.    :)    DMBFFF (talk) 06:59, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks[edit]

I appreciate your categorization work as well as your vote to try to keep the watercolors (most likely they will be deleted anyway). Most likely if the 33 watercolor images get deleted that will be the last time I upload a slew of stuff to Commons. It's too much work.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 10:05, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You gave it your shot (or shots). No regrets, no remorse, maybe a lesson or two learned: time to relax (I soon will be. :D). DMBFFF (talk) 10:28, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hey thanks again. You're right, je ne regrette rien, c'est la vie! I have other projects to work on, like how to survive this pandemic. I'm in the US, a country with bad government.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 11:50, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I hope you're doing alright—hope you survive the pandemic and bad government. :) DMBFFF (talk) 02:46, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Well the two -- pandemic and bad government -- go together, unfortunately. Bad government in the US stems from a faulty constitution but there is a widespread pattern among the public to avoid argument and debate and constructive political thinking that the constitution is unlikely to be upgraded. So when a pandemic hits, its worse. But still there are many positive things going on in the world. Also, if you'd like a free ebook that I wrote, it's available for the next five days. It's a fun space romp with some pop philosophy thrown in called Jakk's Journey. Best, tom--Tomwsulcer (talk) 09:28, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've just downloaded it. Thanks.  :)   DMBFFF (talk) 05:48, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Categorization[edit]

Hi. Please read what I have just written under the same title at User talk:Akinom. Looking at your userpage statement and a few contributions I happened to see -by chance- like categorizing several paintings with Category:Art in one case, and Category:Women in others... I am surprised. You could at least use the Category:Women in art in case you do not wish to dig into cats about "paintings". Sorry, my intention is not to criticise, and less disturb you, but please go back to read your own statement about categorization. When you put an oil painting into Category:Women that makes it almost more difficult to find than leaving it uncategorized, really. Sincerely yours. --E4024 (talk) 02:19, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi E4024. :)
So noted: at the very least, I will take your suggestions under advisement.
Since I've past the 4 digit mark in numbers of edits, I intend to categorize maybe a few 1000s more and then in 2021 drastically reduce my un-catting and, if one will, re-edit my edits, when I can, into smaller, more suitable sub-cats, including explore sub-cats more—and maybe create a few (more). (Who knows, I might also start uploading some of my own flies :D) I figure there are efficiencies in doing them in bulk.
Feel free to criticize if you think it will improve my edits, and no I'm not at all disturbed by such. :)
Kind regards. DMBFFF (talk) 07:26, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
File:Say no to WikiRape.png has been uncat for over 5 years. What category, if any, should I put it in? I'm thinking Category:Art. DMBFFF (talk) 00:12, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know. (Flowers in art?) Neither could I understand what Source:Koeh-169.jpg means in the case of that file. E4024 (talk) 01:36, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Now that's weird.    :D   DMBFFF (talk) 03:55, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I decided to try Category:Prohibition signs. DMBFFF (talk) 04:12, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Coconut[edit]

Well, in that case it shouldn't be in the category Coconut trees in Seychelles either. --Botev (talk) 23:16, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yoga categories[edit]

Hi, Happy Christmas, and many thanks for your efforts on categorisation, Yoga is a big area. It may be useful to know that there are many categories for Yoga images, especially for Asana images which should be given the name of the Asana involved, e.g. Trikonasana. The (great-grand)parent category, "Yoga", is meant to be empty of images, containing only other (parent) categories. Chiswick Chap (talk) 11:47, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you and likewise, and a Happy New Year. Here's the thing: as I (a), am pretty ignorant about Yoga, and (b), would rather err on the vagueness of a supercat, than err on a erroneous edit of a subcat(s); I might have to refrain from putting files into either Yoga, Asana, or their subcats. Such wouldn't be difficult for me as I have already rarely done this. What say you? DMBFFF (talk) 06:12, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Hi DMB, My sincere apologies for the rollback - I have a certain way of categorising my images and had no idea the uncategorised category was there,
Thank you for taking the time to add the cats, Even tho I did rollback you your efforts and contributions are greatly appreciated,
Again my apologies for rollbacking you but it unfortunately was easier than undoing each and every edit. Thanks again for your contributions,
Take care and stay safe, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 01:20, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't notice Category:Davey2010 mobile 11 until now. Oops. No problem: you got it covered, and that more than suffices for me. Thanks for the message.  :)  DMBFFF (talk) 01:33, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
