How we will see unregistered users

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

Je suis un emmerdeur, tu le sais ! Je suis surpris du choix que chacun semble vouloir faire de prononcer NUPES, /nyp/, alors que comme tout acronyme, chaque lettre devrait être prononcée, en l’occurrence, ici, /nypɛs/. Éliminer le S de la prononciation, c'est virer le social du projet au profit de l'écologie. C'est d'ailleurs ce qui se dessine un peu. Pour ma part, je prononce /nyps/, avec le E muet. Sound Logo

Hello,

I am messaging you because a contest for a sound logo for Wikimedia is being developed and your opinion as a Wikimedia Commons admin is appreciated. My team would like to know if it is possible for the top finalist sound logos in the contest to have attribution temporarily hidden from public view until all the votes are final? Change of license

Hi Benoît,

I noticed you have changed the license for some of the images from your hand [1], but this does not correspond with license in the template you included in the description section of the images, user:Benoît Prieur/Credit. Bonjour Benoît. J'ai fait une réduction de l'une de tes photos pour créer une image centrée sur la plaque : File:Rue Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéry (Lyon) - Plaque de rue (détail).png. Par défaut, l'outil de versement me met comme auteur, ce que je ne suis pas (tu es l'auteur d'origine, mais je suis celui de la modification, celui qui téléverse, etc.), j'ai rajouté les catégories d'origine. Puis-je te laisser modifier les choses de façon correcte ? Tu es l'auteur d'un grand nombre de plaques de rue et j'en utilise semble-t-il pas mal dans un fichier en cours de construction sur Wikipédia. Je serai sans doute amené à faire de nombreux zooms sur tes photos d'origine, et ce serait parfait que tu corriges une fois pour toute la méthode pour que je l'applique aux versements futurs. @Nonopoly: salut,

Merci de ton message. Je pense que globalement c'est tout bon.

Pour ce genre de chose, je te conseille l'outil CropTool, très facile d'usage, https://croptool.toolforge.org qui te permet de faire des crop (ce que tu appelles zoom) facilement (maintien des catégories etc.). Pour une nouvelle image, bien choisir "Upload as new file" et non "Overwrite" (qui écrase l'image avec le résultat du crop/zoom). Si toutefois tu galères, je peux te faire une petite vidéo d'explications, que je poserai sur Commons. Tu peux faire un test sur la même image d'origine, et créer une autre version avec CropTool pour valider la démarche. On pourra la supprimer ensuite, éventuellement.

Enfin, si l'image d'origine est bancale, que tu souhaites une amélioration (redressement, orthogonalité, contraste, luminosité etc.), laisse-moi un petit message ici et je te le ferai rapidement.

Argh, je ne voulais pas utiliser l'anglicisme crop... mais zoom n'était guère mieux.. je vais essayer, j'ai chargé l'outil. Mais j'ai vu que tu avais redressé la plaque dans une nouvelle version, que tu avais ajouté l'auteur de l'extract et rectifié l'auteur, mais surtout que tu avais rajouté dans la photo d'origine le fait qu'il existait une other version, pas sûr d'y penser à chaque fois... Sinon, on va tenter, il y a pléthore d'image de Seb, aussi qu'il faudrait croper et redresser. Je veux bien en faire quelques unes, au fur et à mesure de la constitution du tableau, mais je me demande si ce n'est pas mieux si je te dresse une liste de fichiers à retoucher... Bon, j'en ai fait quelques unes, quand il n'y avait pas de parallaxe (trop importante) à corriger, juste recadrer. Pour le reste, et pour la seule lettre A (inachevée), pourrais-tu voir ce que tu ferais avec les photos suivantes : User:Nonopoly/brouillon photos. La plupart « souffre » d'un effet de parallaxe plus ou moins correctible. Certaines sont « irrécupérables » pour l'usage qu'en fait le tableau en cours de création et c'est sans importance, il faudrait que je m'y colle pour reprendre des photos. Si c'est possible pour toi de regarder quand tu pourras, ce que tu peux faire sur ces fichiers. Et je verrai bien s'il en existe de nouvelles versions en cliquant dessus. Belle journée. We have just released a new version of the ISA tool on the Test Server. The new version propose semi-automatic tagging of images, which seeks to assist community in identifying and labelling depicts statements for Commons files.

We are currently looking for feedback with regards to the look, feel, and usability of the tool with the machine vision / metadata-to-concept enhancements in place. In a second stage, we will be testing the quality of the recommandations provided.

categories pour des groupes d'images

Bonjour, j'ai vu que tu avais enlevé des "catégories" sur des photos de fours à pain, par exemple "Four à pain de la Ferrière" https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Four_a_pain_haut_breda.jpg j'ajoute ce genre de catégories pour pouvoir lier plusieurs images d'un même batiments/objets https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Four_%C3%A0_pain_de_la_Ferri%C3%A8re?uselang=fr et mettre un lien vers ces photos dans l'objet dans OSM https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/64002933#map=19/45.31931/6.08729

Je comprends que ce ne sont pas des catégories standards, mais c'est bien utile pour relier photos et objets dans OSM. Y a t'il moyen de faire autrement ? Emlaurent (talk) 00:19, 27 November 2022 (UTC)

Je ne me souviens plus en détail, mais oui, les catégories étaient problématiques et pas en accord avec les attentes ici.

Je comprends bien l'intention OSM, mais comme pour OSM ("on ne mappe pas pour le rendu"), ici on ne catégorise pas pour une valeur-ajoutée personnelle ou autre.

En fait, tu peux effectivement mettre une catégorie sur OSM, mais ce n'est pas si usuel d'une part et le bot Commons ne "bloque" pas par prévention le nommage de la catégorie.

Au contraire, si tu mets un fichier directement, ça a plusieurs vertus :

1. les apps utilisant OSM peuvent facilement utiliser la photo.

2. Le bot Commons, référence cette utilisation externe, en fait une utilisation interne, et donc empêche un renommage sans redirection (meilleure résilience).

3. Tu créés des liens avec des catégories qui n'existent pas sur le wiki. Il faut au moins les créer.

4. Il me semble que c'est plus l'esprit du tag OSM. Dans son usage en tout cas (ce dernier point étant évidemment sujet à débat).

Une catégorie créée ː Category:Four à pain de la Ferrière (Le Haut-Bréda). Ce qu'il faut piger c'est que les catégories ici ne sont pas comme des tags redondants, mais comme une arborescence qui éviterait plutôt la redondance.

Peut-être intéressant aussi de créer chaque élément sur Wikidata et de faire les associations (je prendrai l'exemple pour ce four, et le mettrai ici).

Si besoin, on peut faire un complément via une messagerie quelconque.

Excellent Benoit, tous ces éléments ! Ca complète ma compréhension de comment faire des liens entre des données OSM/Wikipedia/Commonsmedia/Wikidata et mettre les informations au bon endroit en restant dans l'esprit de ces wikis.

Un détail pour être sûr de comprendre : dans ta 3ième vertue, en parlant de " catégories qui n'existent pas sur le wiki", tu fais référence à créer la catégorie sur le wiki commonsmedia comme par ex. "Category:Four à pain de la Ferrière (Le Haut-Bréda)" ?

Je vais refaire des liens OSM/commonsmedia sur des éléments que j'avais modifié pour bien comprendre la mécanique.

Sinon, pour Le chemin des Biassus, ca me parait bien ta modif (d'après mon souvenir quand j'étais passé sur place).

Oui tout à fait :) Pour la question "catégories qui n'existent pas sur le wiki", Celle que tu avais mises sur les photos Category:Four à pain de La Ferrière (de mémoire) sans qu'elle n'existe encore. Tu ne l'avais pas encore créée. Depuis j'ai créée une catégorie au nom légèrement différent dont le code source est cela https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Four_%C3%A0_pain_de_la_Ferri%C3%A8re_(Le_Haut-Br%C3%A9da)&action=edit (tu vois, on a les catégories dans lesquelles elle est incluse écrites en wikicode).

N'hésite pas bien sûr, si besoin d'aide. SI je peux t'aider ce sera avec plaisir.

ISA Tool Workshop - Dec 12th 2022

We released a few weeks ago a new version of the ISA tool on the Test Server. The new version propose semi-automatic tagging of images, which seeks to assist community in identifying and labelling depicts statements for Commons files.

Bonjour. Je me permets de vous contacter et me tourner vers vous pour plusieurs raisons. J'écris actuellement sur Wikipédia des pages concernant surtout le patrimoine arménien en France et en Europe et plus particulièrement des bâtiments religieux (ma spécialité). Avec cette thématique, je suis tombé sur plusieurs de vos contributions sur le sujet sur la Wikipédia française mais aussi beaucoup de vos fichiers sur WikimediaCommons. Je me suis dis que je pourrai donc en discuter un jour avec vous car j'ai pour projet de créer une collection de fichiers libres sur Commons sur le patrimoine arménien avec notamment la licence CC0. J'ai aussi vu sur votre page de présentation que vous étiez administrateur sur WikimediaCommons, ce qui fait que je vous contacte aujourd'hui. En effet, dans le cadre de ce que j'ai développé juste avant j'ai par exemple hier soir écrit une page Monastère de Zamca, un monastère arménien en Roumanie. J'ai à cette occasion également créé hier soir un plan de ce monastère que j'ai téléversé sur WikimediaCommons et je découvre aujourd'hui qu'il est proposé à la suppression au motif de "Because it is Random photo from internet". Je suis donc surpris et un peu dégoûté de voir cela, d'autant plus que j'ai passé ma soirée d'hier dessus sur des logiciels de DAO connus. Ce message est assez abusif. J'ai répondu dans la page de discussion mais je voulais savoir s'il n'y avait pas d'autres choses à faire ? J'ai pour projet de continuer à en faire d'autres pour les mettre dans ma collection dédiée à cela mais ouverte à tous ici (Category:Armenian Heritage Collection by Combrian) et illustrer des articles mais cela m'a refroidit un peu. Je peux si besoin justifier en envoyant une capture d'écran du fichier sur le logiciel avec ses différentes couches. Mon autre question porte sur les fichiers mis sous licence CC0 : peut-on tout mettre sous cette licence ? J'ai mis des photos d'un khatchkar récent à Limoges et une d'une stèle commémorative à Clermont et je vous savoir si je peux. Merci du temps accordé à cette lecture ! Bonne soirée ! Concernant les autres sujets : patrimoine arménien, licences etc., peut-être devrions-nous faire une petite visio. J'envisage également de labelliser l'article du monastère catholique arménien de Venise prochainement. On pourra en parler. @Combrian: Bonjour, Si on regarde les contributions du proposeur de cette demande de suppression, il semble qu'elle était le fait d'un compte qui a très peu de contributions et qui a décidé de s'attaquer à quelques fichiers apparemment sans raison substantielle. Rien qui devrait vous inquiéter.

Vous pouvez utiliser la déclaration CC0 pour tout ce que vous avez créé vous-même ou dont vous êtes le propriétaire des droits d'auteur ou l'étiez avant de faire la déclaration CC0. Mais vous ne pouvez pas déclarer CC0 une reproduction photographique du travail de quelqu'un d'autre et qui est protégé par des droits d'auteur dont vous n'êtes pas le titulaire. Par exemple, en supposant que vous n'êtes pas l'auteur du khatchkar visible sur la photographie File:Khatchkar Limoges.jpg et qu'il est protégé par droits d'auteur, seul le propriétaire des droits d'auteur peut le déclarer libre. À défaut d'une preuve d'une telle déclaration, le fichier ne peut pas être hébergé sur Wikimedia Commons, même si le reste de la photographie, excluant le khatchkar, est votre travail libre. Les mêmes principes s'appliquent lorsque vous utilisez des licences libres comme CC BY-SA 4.0. Le problème se pose surtout quand il y a "contamination" du POV dans l'espace encyclopédique. Ici il n'y avait qu'une image objectivement en Copyvio que je viens de supprimer. Reste sa communication sur le bistro (bon) et les élucubrations sur sa PDD, qui n'est pas faite pour cela. Juste lui rappeler que sa PU et la PDD ne sont pas totalement des espaces de libre-expression et servent surtout à participer à l'élaboration d'une médiathèque sous licence libre. S'il ne comprenait pas le message, cela indiquerait qu'il n'est "pas là pour contribuer sereinement" pour reprendre moi aussi une expression so' wpfr et il faudra en tirer les conséquences (je mets sa PU en LdS).

Bandeaux abusifs

Bonjour Benoît, Je reviens vers toi plus vite que prévu pour te parler d'un tout autre sujet que le monastère de Zamca et son projet de labellisation. Au moment où nous en parlions j'étais plus préoccupé par des bandeaux apposés sur certains de mes fichiers les proposant à la suppression. J'avais réalisé des drapeaux du royaume arménien et médiéval de Cilicie pour les mettre en CC0 mais les meubles héraldiques que j'ai utilisé étaient erronés. l'utilisateur Dragovit à l'origine n'a pas été trop respectueux mais peut importe je pouvais comprendre dans ce cas sa démarche (un exemple parmi d'autres), j'ai dinc engagé la discussion avec l'utilisateur Dragovit et je l'ai rejoint sur la suppression. J'ai donc créé d'autres fichiers, à part, qui lui conviennent, car je n'ai pas envie de me bagarrer. Tout s'est donc réglé hier. Sauf que je m'aperçois qu'aujourd'hui il attaque d'autres de mes travaux. Il a apposé un bandeau sur les deux fichiers Drapeau Gouttières.png et Blason de Gouttières.png au motif WARNING: This image contains the elements of the official coats of arms of the Czech Republic for unknown reasons.. Le fichier n'a strictement aucun rapport avec ce qu'il évoque, contrairement à ce que ça pu être le cas précédemment. Les meubles, c'est-à-dire les motifs qui composent le blason sont différents (le lion n'est, par exemple, pas couronné contrairement à celui de République Tchèque). Tous les éléments qui composent ces armes et que j'ai utilisé sont d'ailleurs en CC0 pour ne poser aucun problème (j'y accorde vraiment de l'importance) et que tout le monde puisse les utiliser. Le lion qu'il me reproche d'utiliser est celui-ci : Heraldic Lion (Two tailed) 05.svg, clairement placé dans le domaine public. Donc rien à voir mais il persiste à apposer ce bandeau. Le seul point commun est que ce motif de lion a deux queues mais la raison est expliqué dans le descriptif car cela est justifié. En effet, et cette fois-ci je suis un peu plus énervé, c'est un travail personnel hors wiki que j'ai effectué bénévolement pour une commune. Le fichier a été déposé par moi mais il s'agit du blason officiel de la commune française de Gouttières (Puy-de-Dôme), officiellement adoptée en févier 2023. Je me permets donc de t'écrire en qualité d'administrateur car cela me fatigue vraiment. Que peut-on faire ? Encore merci pour ton aide. Je te souhaite une bonne fin de journée. Je sais que ce n'est jamais agréable, mais rien n'indique a priori qu'il y ait mauvaise foi dans la démarche, et tout le monde peut remettre en cause les licences, l'autorat, les droits etc. d'un média ici.

Bien sûr, si les demandes sont excessives, il aura des soucis, c'est sûr.

Pas un expert de blasons etc., y compris sur la propriété intellectuelle d'un blason de commune française, mais apparemment c'est usuellement accepté sur Commons. Le lion en question indique bien un bandeau "domaine public" donc effectivement pas de souci de réutilisation et pas de besoin de mention dans le montage que tu fais (mais tu peux le mentionner quand même).

Je regarde un peu plus en détail ce soir.

Mets moi stp les différentes pages de suppression ici. Je tâcherai de les clore en argumentant. Effectivement les réserves sont tirées par les cheveux et sans tellement d'argument tangible. La démarche commence par ailleurs à s'apparenter à du harcèlement (pistage, dépôt de bandeaux non argumentées, atitude non-constructive). ----Benoît (d) 19:59, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Edit : Je pense avoir trouvé une solution qui mettra tout le monde d'accord. J'ai trouvé un autre meuble qui reprend le même modèle héraldique, mais qui n'est pas celui tchèque et aussi en CC0.
