Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Cautionary Tales for Children is missing an image

Hello,

When you uploaded the illustrations from File:Cautionary tales for children.djvu back in 2018, you forgot to include File:CautionaryTalesForChildren Zpage072.gif, even though you included Zpage072a.gif, Zpage072b.gif. and Zpage072c.gif.

Beleg Tal― I think Shāntián Tàiláng only brought that up because he had recently created Cautionary tales for children/George. Apparently, he needed to paste an "image missing" message upon one of its pages. I looked at his user page and uploads, and I'm guessing that he has no idea how to create GIF files from the pages of a PDF file.

So... if I were you, I would want to upload that missing image as soon as possible. (How often do you usually upload images not PDFs, anyway?) 2600:1003:B476:B10A:0:23:3B29:5A01 00:44, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

Not often lol :D mostly I only do it when I'm actively working on a proofread project, otherwise it would be frustratingly cumbersome and time-consuming given the huge number of missing images I come across while editing.

The transcription of s:Cautionary Tales for Children has been in progress since 2007, so while I appreciate your enthusiasm, I'm not inclined to the level of urgency you recommend. There are thousands of pages with missing images, many much older than this one. As it happens, s:Cautionary Tales for Children is on my todo list, and I expect to get to it eventually. When I do, I'll upload whatever remaining images need to be updated.
