Dear Alex,

I am contacting you regarding the file Bilal_U._Haq_in_2015.jpg.

I found this comment:

"An email has been received at OTRS concerning this file, and can be read here by users with an OTRS account. However, the message was not sufficient to confirm permission for this file. This may, among other reasons, be because there was no explicit release under a free license, or the email address that the permission came from is not associated with the location where the content was originally published."

The e-mail was sent from bhaq@inbox.com. This e-mail (bhaq@inbox.com) appears on the page where the photo came from.

Can you tell me what more is necessary to validate the permission?

Sincerely yours, Sandromaquine (talk)

Sandromaquine: I emailed a response. Essentially, copyright lies with the photographer rather than with the subject. Have a read of meta:Wikilegal/Authorship and Copyright Ownership. For this reason, we require some clarification is to the copyright being transferred to you.

Hi Alex! I was just wondering about the CC0 license tag, as I only saw the CC-BY-4.0 notice at the bottom of the page. Im' curious, where can the CC0 be found? --Ìch heiss Nat ùn ìch redd e wenig Elsässisch!Talk to me in EN, FR, PL, GSW-FR(ALS). 18:04, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

Nat; underneath the article there is an Article and Author information section, right at the bottom of this section there is a copyright section which contains This is an open-access article, free of all copyright, and may be freely reproduced, distributed, transmitted, modified, built upon, or otherwise used by anyone for any lawful purpose. The work is made available under the Creative Commons CC0 public domain dedication.. It looks like the whole site is licensed under a minimum of CC BY-SA, but some articles are less restrictive.
Thanks,

OTRS

Dear Alex Noble,

Could you please provide an explaination on how was OTRS of the below images accepted? Also I don't find your name in the OTRS team list nor you a part of OTRS global usergroup. The ticket is still open and locked with me and how have you added OTRS permission to the images?

Files in question.

(The OTRS list on meta is only updated every month, hence why I am not on it ~~ Alex Noble - talk 17:58, 9 May 2020 (UTC))
Dear Alex, kindly do not add permission directly to the images. It has to be reviewed by the volunteer team and than if the OTRS volunteer is satisfied than we add the permission tag. I urge you to kindly immediately revert your edits as the images are under OTRS pending review and not Reviewed. Regards --✝iѵɛɳ२२४०†ลℓк †๏ мэ 02:13, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
Tiven2240 - The problem here was that I didn't notice a lock on the ticket before reviewing it; I am an OTRS volunteer with access to the permission queues. Unless there is something wrong with the ticket, in which case ping me on the otrs wiki where it can actually be discussed, I don't see the point in removing a permission so someone else can add it.
You are more than welcome to revert my edits if you think it is necessary, but I don't think accidentally ignoring a lock is grounds for this, unless you noticed something I didn't. ~~ Alex Noble - talk 08:57, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

Go Ahead Ireland

Maybe next time if your going to revert someone at least put it in a more appropriate category instead. In this case there's Bus operators in Northern Ireland. Which you could have put it in instead of just reverting my edit and leaving it in the main category. --Adamant1 (talk) 04:29, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

@Adamant1: - Go Ahead Ireland operate around Dublin, a city in the Republic of Ireland; even to the DUP, this is a different country. None of their routes go to Northern Ireland. Yes, a category for bus companies in Ireland could be created, but Category:Transport companies of Ireland is hardly full, so this seems a bit pointless. ~~ Alex Noble/1-2/TRB 09:07, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
I created bus operators in Ireland anyway. Categories don't need to be full to create other ones. That said, it would have been cool if you waited until the discussion was resolved to revert me again, or at least followed your own suggestion. Since edit warring is extremely pointless and it takes literally nothing to create a category. Whereas, this conversation takes something and I'm sure we both have better things to do. --Adamant1 (talk) 09:19, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Category:East_Lancs_Vyking_on_Volvo_B7TL_buses_of_Connexionsbuses has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

While the railway through Fratton could be considered as a combination of the Coastway and Portsmouth Direct routes, GWR only operate on the Coastway so categoriasong File:20230211 GWR 166213 Fratton.jpg as being on the Portsmouth Direct line gives the wrong imprseeion that they are seen coming down from London.
