Please do not delete interwikis[edit]

In Category:Lech Wałęsa you deleted all interwikis except the Polish one. People of other countries also would like to have a link in their language to an article in Wikipedia about Lech Wałęsa. Wouter (talk) 06:16, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just copied what is mentioned on my talk page below to have the discussion complete. Wouter (talk) 19:54, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think there is a difference between the interwikis for Category:Lech Wałęsa and interwikis for the page Lech Wałęsa -- Alan ffm (talk) 15:36, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion it is good to have all existing interwikis both with the pages and the categories. If there is a "category-interwiki" as with Lech Wałęsa in the Polish Wikipedia, it is better to use that with categories in Commons. The main purpose is that users can find additional information as easy as possible. For example Category:Poznań does not have any interwiki link to a category. To delete for that reason all interwiki links is not a good idea in my opinion. Best regards, Wouter (talk) 17:56, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Patroller[edit]

Hi, would you like to become a patroller? That way you can mark edits as patrolled if you have reviewed them (e.g. undone vandalism), so that others don't have to review them again only to find out you already undid it. I noticed you've been doing great at removing vandalism. –Krinkletalk 20:57, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Counter Vandalism Unit

Hi Alan ffm,

You now have the Patroller right and may call yourself a patroller! Please take a moment to read the updated Commons:Patrol to learn how Patrolling works and how we use it to fight vandalism.

As you know already, the patrolling functionality is enabled for all edits, not just for new-page creations. This enables us to keep track of, for example, edits made by anonymous users here on Commons.

We could use your help at the Counter Vandalism Unit. For example by patrolling an Anonymous-edits checklist and checking a day-part.

If you have any questions please leave a message on the CVU talkpage or ask for help on IRC in #wikimedia-commons.

10 declined file rename requests[edit]

Hello, Alan, please read Commons:File renaming again, also the foot notes and the section “Which files should not be renamed?” Your requests have not been non-controversial maintenance and bug fixes. If you only looked on the Polish translation: It seems to me this should be updated. If you do not want to do this, please search for another user versed in English language. — Speravir – 23:16, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ach herrjeh, ich merke jetzt erst, dass Du fließend deutsch sprichst. Dann sieh dir Commons:Dateien verschieben an, das ist definitiv auf dem neuesten Stand. — Speravir – 23:18, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
