Zdravím. Pokud vkládáte to projektu Commons vlastní fotografie, tak pokud možno i s původními metadaty souboru, jak je vyplnil fotoaparát nebo mobilní telefon, a v původním plném rozlišení. Jinak se zbytečně vystavujete podezření, že jste pouze někde na netu našel nějakou cizí fotografii, u které pravděpodobně nebudou ošetřena autorská práva pod volnou licencí. Pokud fotografii upravujete v nějakém editoru obrázků, pohlídejte si nastavení, aby metadata nemazal. Díky. --ŠJů (talk) 20:36, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Zdravím. Originální soubor je mé video, ze kterého je obrázek vystřižen. Video bylo pořízeno 21. srpna 2018, bohužel nemám možnost jak vám dokázat, že jsem video skutečně točil já. S pozdravem, Ajrocket1 (talk) 20:59, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Zdravím. V tomto případě vysvětlení vypadá věrohodně, a shodný obrázek jsem pomocí TinEye nikde jinde na internetu nenašel, čili není důvod Vám nevěřit. Ale právě proto je vhodné do popisu fotografie její původ vždy dostatečně přesně a výstižně uvést, tj. třeba právě tu informaci, že je to vystřižené z videa pořízeného palubní kamerou. A to samozřejmě nejen kvůli tomu, že by Vám někdo nevěřil, ale kvalitní a přesný popis vždy zvyšuje encyklopedickou hodnotu fotografie či jiného obrázku/souboru. To je podobné jako s archeologickými nálezy: ty mají také nesrovnatelně vyšší vědeckou cenu, jsou-li doplněny informací, kdo, kdy, kde a jak je našel, než samy o sobě. A díky za působivý obrázek - je zajímavé, že žádný obrázek ze stejného úhlu jsme tady v Commons dosud neměli. --ŠJů (talk) 16:58, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ale Vy jste jako zdroj neuvedl, že jde o satelitní snímek z Googlu. Vy jste jako zdroj uvedl, že jde o Vaše vlastní dílo z roku 2012, tedy z doby, kdy Vám bylo 8 let (a tedy jste zřejmě v té době pracovníkem Google nebyl). A licenci jste udělil sám za sebe pro své vlastní dílo - vůbec jste neuvedl, že jde o dílo vytvořené Googlem a uvolněné pod svobodnou licencí.

Pokud je třeba uvádět zdroj a autora (držitele autorských práv), tak to znamená, že je třeba uvádět zdroj a autora. Samotné zkopírování (stažení, screenshot, scan) dvojrozměrného díla se za tvůrčí autorské dílo nepovažuje. Když oskenuji fotku od nějakého slavného fotografa, tak se tím nestávám autorem té fotky a nezískávám tím k ní autorská práva, tím pádem ta práva ani nemohu udělovat nikomu dalšímu. A i pokud byste fotografii nějak významně upravoval (retušoval, měnil barvu či kontrast, vystřižením vytvořil originální kompozici atd.), tak byste byl autorem odvozeného díla, ale vždy by bylo nutné uvést též údaje o původním díle, ze kterého jste to odvozené vytvořil. Pokud jde o prostou kopii dvojrozměrného díla, pak se jako autor uvádí pouze autor původního díla a datum jeho vzniku - pořízení kopie (lhostejno jakou technologií) se považuje jen za neautorskou technickou záležitost. Pokud byste ovšem někdy fotil trojrozměrný model jaderné elektrárny, pak je třeba uvést jednak autora a dobu vzniku původního díla (modelu) a jednak autora a datum vzniku té fotografie, a pokud by ten model nebyl umístěn trvale v exteriéru, tak by tu fotku tady v Commons nešlo použít, pokud bychom neměli i souhlas autora modelu.

Jinak co se týče satelitních obrázků z Google, vizte Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter#Maps & satellite imagery. Satelitní snímky pocházejí z komerčních projektů a obecně autorsky volné nejsou, tj. jsou chráněné autorským právem. Ostatně většinou i ty mapy, které pod volnou licencí jsou, tak většinou s podmínkou uvedení zdroje. --ŠJů (talk) 17:32, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ajrocket1: Nevím, jaký nástroj nebo jaké rozhraní používáte pro nahrávání obrázků, ale ve všech dostupných dialozích máte kromě volby vlastního díla též volbu, že obrázek není vaším vlastním dílem, a pokud takovou možnost zvolíte, vždy nejen můžete, ale dokonce musíte uvést jeho zdroj a příslušnou licenci. A i kdyby snad nějaká možnost v nabídkách nějakého nástroje či rozhraní chyběla, vždy máte možnost stránku obrázku následně po nahrání otevřít a všechny chybné údaje opravit. --ŠJů (talk) 01:56, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
