You do know that users have different distinct identifiable things such as IP address, location, date they joined etc.

Your claims are both against the consensus in both pages. Somalia Somaliland

Please go back to the consensus that was previously built regarding this issue and how there is de facto and de jure. Internationally this is part of Somalia but locally it is parts of it are controlled by the Somaliland.

The original map follows the UN, CIA fact book, Britannica and many more well accredited sources. Could you kindly provide sources and mention in the talk page before changing any page that effects 1000s of pages. I hope User:Achim55 understands that map image effects hundreds of pages and not just a single page. This combined with lack of consensus makes this difficult.

STOP now. 1) Here on Commons there is no need of en:Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. 2) Here on Commons we do not decide content related disputes per right/wrong. We just provide media. 3) In such cases it is usual practice to provide both versions of a map as different files. Recently we've had the same problem regarding disputed areas of India. Location map module map (Somalia)

Hi,

I've just been dealing with vandalism issue with the module map page for Somalia (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Module:Location_map/data/Somalia)

Certain users have been putting the wrong picture up and changing the old picture which was posted back in 2009. Without any consensus. I have reverted changes.

The vandalism effected almost all the pages on Wikipedia regarding Somalia as this was the main map used since 2009. This effect practically broke the maps and showed an incorrect map.

I have since fixed the issue and opened a discussion regarding this. Could you kindly temporary protect the page so they engage with the talk page and not blindly revert changes without building consensus. Bare in mind this has been the map used since 2009 and they're trying to change it now without any consensus.

What is the template for requesting that an image be reviewed for correct rights?

There is a question at EN:Talk:2021_storming_of_the_United_States_Capitol#Is_this_video_in_the_public_domain? regarding the security videos presented on the floor of the Senate for the Trump Impeachment. I know that the testimony given by witnesses on the floor are PD if filmed by CSPAN, but the aggregate- the video of the security video question I think turns on the rights for congress's security video's. I have been a contributor to commons for well over a decade now, and guess they would fall under USGov, even though an automated device and not an employee of the US government took them. I hestitate though because I know how complicated these rights issues can be. Perhaps you or some other image reviewer could comment, or you could tell me the template for requesting speedy evaluation of the rights? I would them pass the template recommendation along to the requester so that they can submit an example image for upload before wasting a lot of time uploading a bunch of material. Thanks, I took your advice and the discussion there had only one commenter on the central issue of the inquiry who agreed with my presumption that these are ok and would use US Gov congress. Unfortunately that individual also made an odd statement about there not being any CSPAN material on Commons, so I am not entirely confident but I suppose I will proceed with some images I need for some en wikipedia articles and upload a few meanwhile waiting for anything further comments (looks like only a few hundred views per day). Hi, Achim55 - I was working on OTRS Ticket#2021022810006041, and while trying to find the upload I discovered the following by that user:

  1. User talk:Birthmark On Temple
  2. File:Seal_Of_The_Living_God.jpg - only use is on User:Ngọc Lâm Trần
  3. This user on Meta where there are more personal images.

Hello again, Achim55 - I don't want to wear out my welcome, but here's another one: the upload that matches OTRS ticket#2021030410008887 is this image. I found 2 other uploads, one of which was already deleted once. All 3 uploads are promotional and by the same user: File:VISITOR_-_POSTER.jpg, and File:Martina-babisova.jpg. User name is included in the uploads. I must say that the quality of the work is very good but the images are orphans - no articles for placement. Commons is a magnate for aspiring young producers/directors/photogs. Perhaps some day in the future, we'll be asking him to provide images for his WP:BLP. Unitary and Federal States

Hi,

I know you've previous dealt with the map issues regarding horn of Africa.

There has been vandalism on the https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Map_of_unitary_and_federal_states.svg

I have discussed with the user who is changing the map and told them to make a new one to make changes and to not vandalise the original as it is someone else's image and used in multiple pages. But they have refused and made a duplicate of the original but continues to make changes to the original instead of the duplicate.

The user has also been the same one vandalising and changing other maps. Could you please temporarily protect this page so these groups leave it alone. The diplomatic map has also been put on protection because of them

The two map solution is great but you are making changes to the original without any evidence of change that has happened since October 2020. If you wish to make your own personalised changes, please use the one you created. Original files should not be edited without consensus of all the editors involved especially when it's a picture you do not own.

There was no real reason for the change, there was the contrast change which was made because it was hard for colourblind viewers and was discussed. There was no other discussion regarding map changes. This map is using the https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:The_world_(United_Nations_map_no._4170).svg and since there has been no system changes, it does not warrant any changes.

Naar aanleiding van het verzoek dat ik op de OP van Abuse filter deed om het voor iedere gebruiker mogelijk te maken ten minste zijn eigen bijdragen te kunnen corrigeren (met undo) liep die mijn bewerkingen na (dat mag) en vond er één waarbij ik te voorbarig had gehandeld. Dat had ik mezelf ook onmiddellijk gerealiseerd, want slechts zes minuten later corrigeerde ik mijn fout (en de rode link die er voorheen stond, had überhaupt weinig nut). Dat weerhield Jeff G er niet van me te beschuldigen van vandalisme, en te dreigen met een blok. Volkomen onnodig, idioot en onbeschoft. En contraproductief. Farbne, YouTube videos can be licensed CC-BY and the use of {{YouTube CC-BY}} is OK then. The CC license is given explicitly on the yt page. Hakierka

Witam - to ja nazywam się Jolanta Dyr i to ja jestem na zdjęciu z 2013 roku na "swojej stronie". Nie byłam w tym miejscu od wielu lat, ani dzisiaj, ani wczoraj. Nie wróciłam znikąd, tutaj. Więc hasło "Powrót" jest chyba chybione. Dziękuję administratorowi za powitanie. Ale nie czuję się powitana, bowiem, to nie ja wróciłam. Wstąpiłam tutaj, bo dostałam powiadomienie na emaila, że właśnie dokonałam tutaj wpisu.

Kimkolwiek natomiast jest osoba, która w dniu dzisiejszym o godzinie 9.34 dokonała powyżej wpisu w tym miejscu w moim imieniu i wymieniła korespondencję z administratorem, a być może logowała się tutaj także w dniu wczorajszym - czyli powróciła nie jest mną i nigdy mną nie była. Skąd znała moje hasło i co zrobiła by je przejąć - Bóg raczy wiedzieć, ja tego nie wiem. Więc to nie ja jestem alternatywna, tylko osoba, która wymieniła z administratorem zdania, o moim powrocie.

Nie wiem również kto i kiedy w moim imieniu podejmował działania w obszarze Wiki w jakimkolwiek jej fragmencie. Smutne? - być może. Dość śmieszne i niepoważne zarazem. Kiedyś Wiki była wspólną zabawą i dokonaniem pasjonatów traktujących siebie nawzajem z dużą dozą szacunku i zaufania. Od czasu, gdy w Polsce zaczęła rządzić obca ekipa i zaczęła przejmować coraz to nowe obszary działania, w tym przestrzeń Wiki, wszystko się zmieniło. Dziś by zostać "polskim" DyplomAtą nie trzeba mieć żadnych dyplomów, ani jakiejkolwiek wiedzy, czy choćby znajomości języków obcych itp. umiejętności by znaleźć się za namaszczeniem "władzy" na salonach świata.

Traktując Wiki za jeden z takich salonów świata, ja również jak widać nie muszę tutaj bywać we własnej osobie, bo robi to za mnie ktoś, kto przejął moje konto i mnie "reprezentuje". Szkoda, że robi to bez mojej wiedzy i zgody. Może nie jestem artystą fotografem i nie robię doskonałych zdjęć tak jak ci, którzy od czasu, do czasu pouczali mnie co powinnam robić, by robić po ichniemu, a nie po mojemu. Tak więc informuję zainteresowanych, że JOLANTO DYR, która dokonała wpisu dzisiaj w moim imieniu powyżej w niniejszej dyskusji o godz. 9.34, nie jest mną. Moje konto zostało przejęte tak samo jak klucze do mojego mieszkania, bez mojej wiedzy i zgody. Z mieszkania mojego od ponad 20 lat co pewien czas ginie coś wartościowego a ja po raz kolejny trafiam ni z tego ni z owego do szpitala. @Tahir mq: I also agree. They seems to be sockpuppet User:اکرم بابولی who was also blocked doing the same case by uploading vandialised picture as a newer versions of the files. And some of their following edits on these file pages are similar too just like:

Hello, please take a look at this report: Commons:Administrators' noticeboard#Files named with meaningless/disruptive names (motivated renaming was reverted without any valid reason) as these are serious everyday violations of the Commons rules and protection of meaningless names (in this case, Kalumny which translates as Columns). User Kazimier Lachnovič with filemover rights constantly performs violations of the Commons rules, creates instability issues and protects meaningless names, thus creates confusion. Entgegenkommende Löschung wegen dem Fehler eines Fotografen?

Hallo Achim,

ich habe (glücklicherweise) folgende Passage in dem Beitrag zu Löschungen gefunden:

"Entgegenkommende Löschungen Auch wenn es nicht aus rechtlichen oder anderen Gründen erforderlich ist, kann Commons sich manchmal dazu entschließen, Bilder zu löschen, zum Beispiel als Geste des guten Willens gegenüber einem Fotografen, der einen Fehler gemacht hat. Für vorgeschlagene Richtlinien, siehe Commons:Courtesy deletions."

Wäre es möglich alle meine schwarz-weiß Bilder oder wenigstens bestimmte, für mich wichtige Bilder unter einer Entgegenkommenden Löschung löschen zu lassen? Ich habe 2016 nicht gewusst, dass ich meine Bilder damit jedem (!) zur kommerziellen Nutzung frei zur Verfügung stelle, leider, leider , leider! Ich habe seit dem verhältnismäßig wenig Geld mit meinen eigenen Fotos verdient, aber andere und vor allem große, finanzstarke Unternehmen (Zeitungen, Verlage etc.) leider sehr viel und das macht mich als Künstler einfach traurig, ehrlich gesagt...

Damals (2016) habe ich einfach nur einen Beitrag zu diesem tollen Projekt leisten wollen und wusste nicht, welche Lizenz ich genau wählen muss, damit es nicht kommerziell genutzt werden darf, auch da es hier leider alles andere als intuitiv oder nutzerfreundlich gestaltet ist und schwer zu überblicken war. Ich finde mich (auch aufgrund meines Alters) so schon nicht immer so gut zurecht auf Seiten die weitaus übersichtlicher und einfacher zu verstehen sind als diese, hier war ich einfach überfordert, aber wollte trotzdem meinen Beitrag leisten!

Es war ein Fehler damals nicht die Lizenzen und die terms genau gelesen zu haben, ja das steht außer Frage. Aber die Entgegenkommende Löschung ist ja genau für solche Fälle vorhergesehen und zwar "als Geste des guten Willens gegenüber einem Fotografen, der einen Fehler gemacht hat". Genau das ist der Fall bei mir und aus Fehlern lernt man!

Ich wäre euch wirklich sehr dankbar und verbunden und würde mich sehr über ein Entgegenkommen eurer Seite freuen!

J’ai détecté G&K dans la liste des faux nez mais dans le journal de Wikipedia, j’ai trouvé 2 comptes horribles qui ne sont pas sur la liste de faux nez: Guillaume chie dans la bouche de Kim et Peach sodomise Guillaume et Kim. En regardant la page d’utilisateur d’un des comptes qui contenaient "G&K" ou "Guillaume et Kim", j’ai découvert que Monsieur Têtu a visité complètement la chaîne YouTube et il avait volé leur adresse e-mail dans la description de la chaîne YouTube pour se faire passer pour des vrais comptes! Quel pire faux-nez !

J’ai trouvé l’adresse IP du Faux-nez.

J’ai trouvé cet adresse IP car j’ai été bloqué automatiquement par un utilisateur qui utilise le même adresse IP que moi. Cela veut dire que ce faux-nez n’utilise pas non plus le même appareil que moi mais une adresse IP dynamique. Donc l’adresse IP du faux-nez est de 89.84.127.36 à 89.84.127.43. Je crois que le mystère du faux-nez est résolu !

Hi Achim55, I gave the uploader advice on July 22, how to prove he is the owner or otherwise how to let the photographer send permission to VTRS (OTRS). Now the man reacts with 'I really hold the rights, it's my picture' (or something like that). That means the man didn't do anything in two weeks and the file can be deleted. Je ne peux pas modifier ma propre page de discussion et ni envoyer des e-mails. J’ai vu 2 utilisateurs anonymes qui ont vu mon bloquage et ils essayent de me débloquer. J’ai vu un message masqué de Monsieur Têtu mais il a envoyé ça pour empêcher de me débloquer. Regardez ça. Donc ça aussi c’est un empêchement de blocage. Donc quelqu’un probablement RG067 à révoqué le message de Monsieur Têtu parce que c’était un mensonge et je suis sûr qu’on pourra jamais me débloquer. Noah, les stewards ne sont pas affectés à des wikis spéciaux. Ils agissent sur tous les wikis. Une liste peut être trouvée ici. Je recommande de demander à AmandaNP ou à Jon Kolbert. Linedwell semble être passif depuis quelques semaines. Salutations, Achim (talk) 20:48, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
