Move commands[edit]

I undid your move request at the User talk:CommonsDelinker/commands. Please post it at the bottom of the list, as instructed at the head of that page. Thanks very much. Orrlingtalk 17:05, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Craters on the Moon[edit]

Dear colleague,
A year and a half ago you added to Category:Craters on the Moon a template {{Cleanup image|The subcategory add on '''(crater)''' is not specific enough. The add on '''(lunar crater)''' would be more appropriate. Please, rename all '''(crater)''' subcategories.}}. Such renaming of more than a thousand categories isn't necessary, because there are rather few repeats in planetary nomenclature (some dozens of lunar and martian craters, which were named before IAU adopted the rule for inadmissibility of repeats). I think, only these several dozens need renaming. Stas (talk) 18:20, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Restoring deleted links to wikipedia articles[edit]

Why undo? No lost of information: The language links are provided by Wikidata. 77.56.53.183 12:47, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps, but it takes another click, not everybody knows and it is useless (damaging) removing practical directly visible data. So please refrain. Why don't you discuss this in the Village pump? (left menu column). Then your action, if approved, could be done systematically with a bot-operation. However, your other actions are useful accoording to me at least, thanks. Can you restore the deleted links yourself? Regards, Hansmuller (talk) 12:58, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I've seen some of your edits, and I really appreciate the contributions you're making to Commons. I'm glad you're helping the project! You may wish to consider creating an account. It's quick, free, and anonymous (you don't have to give away any real-world information about yourself).

When you're logged in, you can do many things that unregistered users cannot, such as creating new pages, uploading media content, moving pages and keeping track of changes to articles you edit frequently. It helps the community, too—other users will be more likely to remember who you are when you have an account name.

If you want more information on the benefits of creating an account, see this page. And once you've registered, please drop me a message and say hi! Don't forget to sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (or by clicking on the button) ~~~~.

Category discussion warning

Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!
