Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.

Nürnberger Versicherungscup[edit]

Hi Stefan, hab gerade deine Bilder von Nürnberg gesehen. Du warst ja anscheinend auch die ganze Woche da... Michael (_madmelone) und ich hatten uns abgesprochen bzgl. Nürnberg. Von dir wußte ich leider nichts... Ist halt nur schade, wenn drei Leute in Nürnberg sind und keiner z.B. beim ATP in Düsseldorf. Nürnberg war halt bei mir vor der Haustüre!!! Aber schöne Fotos und jetzt haben wir wenigstens auch Genie-Sieg und PK-Fotos (da musste ich nämlich gestern weg zu einem anderen Termin...). Für die Zukunft solten wir uns vielleicht bei solchen Veranstaltungen mehr absprechen. Zumal Achim (Fessler) nicht gerade glücklich war, dass sich gleich drei Leute akkreditieren wollten... --DonPedro71 (talk) 10:24, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

2014 DTM Hockenheimring[edit]

Ich lebe in der Nähe von Heidelberg. Hier es gibt viele spannende Sportarten: Hockenheimring (Grosser Preis von Deutschland), SAP Arena, 1899 TSG Hoffenheim und viele andern. Ich will Foto machen, aber ich weiss nicht, wo kann ich Akkreditierung machen. Zwiadowca ²¹ 19:38, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Da sich die Akkreditierungsbedingungen auch immer mal ändern, ist es am besten, wenn du direkt immer beim Veranstalter/Verband im Internet nachsiehst. Großer Preis von Deutschland, also Formel 1, wäre es die FIA. Dort braucht man einen Presseausweis eines seriösen Verbandes (also nicht so'n Zeug, wie es häufig in Fotozeitschriften angeboten wird) und muss Veröffentlichungen eigener Bilder aus gleichartigen Veranstaltungen nachweisen. Wenn man das alles kann ist man trotzdem noch darauf angewiesen, dass die akkreditierende Stelle sich für einen bei der Akkreditierung entscheidet.

Bei der Bundesliga entscheidet die DFL über Akkreditierungen. Da besteht das Problem, dass man in der Wiki Bilder unter der CC zur Verfügung stellt, welche auch die kommerzielle Nutzung erlaubt. Die Akkreditierungvorschriften der DFL schließen aber explizit die Möglichkeit der kommerziellen Nutzung der Bilder aus.

Aber vieleicht steigst du bei Randsportarten ein. Da kommt man moistens leichter zum Fotografieren dicht ran. In Heidelberg bietet sich dazu ja Rugby geradzu an. Gefühlt besteht ja die halbe 1. Liga aus Heidelberger Mannschaften ;-). --2eight (talk) 16:43, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bilder umbenennen[edit]

Hallo 2eight; offenbar hast du ein paar Fotos erneut mit neuem Dateinamen hochgeladen, weil sie nicht Jimmy Copley, sondern John Lingwood zeigen, und die Bilder mit falschem Namen dann als Dubletten zur Löschung beantragt. Ich habe diese nun gelöscht; ein erneutes Hochladen wäre aber eigentlich gar nicht nötig gewesen. Du kannst Dateien auch mit der Vorlage "rename" umbenennen lassen, siehe Commons:Dateien verschieben. User:2eight/licence[edit]

Hi 2eight, I have asked an admin to permanently protect your licence page: User:2eight/licence. Otherwise, everyone could simply adjust your licence for all your files and the change would not appear as such on the individual files. Generally, sub-setting license information is wanted in Commons. There is a Creative Commons license attached to both pictures: CC BY-SA 3.0. DE. According to this, I could use them given that I follow these conditions. Nachholtermin 17. Fotoworkshop[edit]

Moin von der Küste,
es ist schon so viele Jahre her, dass wir uns in Nürnberg getroffen haben, wir (Ailura und ich) planten deshalb einen Fotoworkshop im Frühjahr 2019. Als wir erfuhren, dass Sebastian ebenfalls in Frühjahr ein BarCamp plant, entschlossen wir uns, zusammen zu arbeiten. Wir gliedern uns organisatorisch an diesem BarCamp an, sprich sind im gleichen Hotel, essen gemeinsam und nutzen ein Raum des Camps für unsere Fotovorträge, ähnlich wie auf der WikiCon 2011 in Nürnberg.
Wie Ihr vielleicht mitbekommen habt, ist Gnu zu seiner letzten Wanderung aufgebrochen, daher möchten auch wir seiner Gedenken.
Die weiteren Tage wollen wir gemeinsam ein Programm aus Fototouren und Vorträgen zusammenstellen, es ist noch viel Luft für Eure Ideen und Vorträge. Den geplanten ausführlichen LR Workshop wird zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt im Frühsommer ( WMDE gibt den Ort vor) stattfinden, da dieser sehr weit in die Tiefe gehen soll. Ich würde mich freuen, Euch in Nürnberg begrüßen zu können, wundere Dich nicht über meine Nachricht auch wenn Du lange nichts mehr editiert hast, ich habe Deinen Namen aus den letzten FWS kopiert. ;)

Renaming[edit]

Hi, you did a lot of rename requests, a few were duplicates and one was wrong (was already known as a file from a drummer, while it was a guitarist).
