Thank you for your advice.[edit]

Thank you for your advice. I will explain. The portrait of the late Tomohiro Kojiri journalist was on the day of the Hanshin branch attack on May 3 It was raised in a worship place established in the Asahi Shimbun Hanshin bureau, and the situation was reported, You can see. https://www.asahi.com/articles/ASM4V6GP5M4VPIHB029.html

https://twitter.com/hashtag/%E5%B0%8F%E5%B0%BB%E7%9F%A5%E5%8D%9A

It can be seen many times on the Internet. In such a situation Tomohiro Kojiri is a portrait of a journalist, but with the understanding that it is "normally used" I uploaded it this time. Originally, it would be better to get the consent of the Asahi Shimbun, but with the above understanding I was allowed to.

If it is deleted in this situation, I will get the consent of Asahi Shimbun. I appreciate your understanding. Tokim076 (talk) 18:44, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Tokim076: Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content. Please see Commons:Licensing for more information. Thanks. -- 00:42, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I converted your "no source DW" tag in the said file to a deletion request, because I don't think the simple diagrams on the photo are copyrightable. There was also a previous DR on the same file which argued that the diagrams are above TOO, but it was closed as kept. Please check if there were previous DRs before you mark a file for deletion. Thanks, pandakekok9 05:26, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled rights given[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you.. - FitIndia Talk Mail 10:17, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notification about possible deletion[edit]

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

speedy deletion[edit]

Could you explain me what was wrong with my logo? It is the logo of my student initiative and I took it from our google drive folder. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vorstand.thinc (talk • contribs) 10:22, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Vorstand.thinc: Plaese read Commons:Licensing. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content. This logo, which seems not to be licensed under a free license, is not acceptable on Commons. -- 13:00, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

On your mass deletion nomination with TOO-China[edit]

Hi. I've noticed that you have been aggressively nominating files related to Chinese logos and other files potentially unable to meet the "threshold of originality" criteria to remain on Commons. I urge you NOT to continue doing so and withdraw all nominations you already made.

Consensus and researches by other Wikimedians on TOO in China have already been conducted for around a year, yet no one attempted to massively delete files for TOO throughout this period. If all your deletion nominations passed, *others* will have to re-upload all the deleted files locally on all languages of Wikipedias. Plus, leaving no time for others to manually move files from Commons to Wikipedias will have devastating consequences, such as leaving countless of articles without proper images and broken links that are difficult to fix, while possibly backlog both the moving process and Commons' DRV, as images of similar quality are difficult to find on the internet so others will have to ask admins to temporarily recover the files anyway.

Your previous nominations have been repeatedly pointed out that, when you mass nominate a category of files, you won't double-check if the files, especially logos, are Chinese companies, thus fall under China's higher TOO, or if they meet other criteria for them to be in PD (as seen in the comments here, here, and here). What's happening now is that everyone else has to passively double-check whatever files *you* nominate, and *you* are leaving tonnes of mess for others to fix. While nomination is easy and fun, it doesn't seem like you want to do the laborious moving and double-checking.

What you have been doing is extremely irresponsible. Inform the community on Village Pump before you plan to do anything like this in the future, take advice, and see how much extra work the community and you are able to take. If I were you, I will focus on recent uploads that may violate the TOO rules, while leaving the existing uploads as is; I will work on moving all the files to Wikipedias locally, then nominate them for deletion only if I have spare time. Leaving a few TOO violators is not a huge deal considering that they are still PD under US laws. Maybe you should focus on more serious copyright violations.

:File:Construction plan for Guangzhou Metro since 1997.jpg[edit]

我想问一下:如果我把File:Construction plan for Guangzhou Metro since 1997.jpg这张图片重新制作成svg格式的地图矢量文件(类似File:Guangzhou Metro 1988 route proposal zh-cn.svg这一种),那能否上传至这里?--PQ77wd (talk) 06:41, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@PQ77wd: 应该可以。 08:03, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

因为File:Construction plan for Guangzhou Metro since 1997.jpg这张早前的广州地铁规划图已经绝版了,很多2000年代出生的人都不知道这一回事。--PQ77wd (talk) 06:46, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mass-renaming[edit]

You are requested to rename a bunch of files, which are now here: Category:Media renaming requests needing target. You have to specify which concrete file name should be used in each of this file. If you don't specify, these renaming requests will be declined--Estopedist1 (talk) 09:10, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
