File:Anansi (cropped).jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

File:Cartoon Supporting the Fugitive Slave Act (1851).jpg[edit]

I'm not the most skill user/updater on Wikipedia, so this might not be the place for this comment please excuse me if it is not.

Thank you for updating this image to higher resolution, but it is still insufficient to be able to read the inked captions, at least on my phone.

Can you post it in yet a higher resolution so that the text is readable? I guess I'll look here for your reply.

Thank you, a user in Austin, TX 2600:1700:E0:1FB0:AD5B:EF2C:428F:159 00:54, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I thought the same while uploading the higher res version. The problem here is not really resolution, I think, but unintentional blurriness.
You could ask the Library of Congress to schedule a better quality re-scan of this old cartoon.
If you are just interested in the text, LoC has an accurate transcription on their description page (also linked in the current Wikimedia file description). ΟΥΤΙΣ (talk) 14:32, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
