Não seja por isso, a imagem já está retornada...!!!! Um abraço. Brasil --Reynaldo 05:39, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Eu realmente não havia percebido! Desculpe-me. Mas para "voltar" a imagem é só ir nela e usar a função (rev) que está em "Histórico das imagens". He... He... He... Abração. --Reynaldo 03:16, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Placa_hebrea_Campo_Grande2.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Yonatanh 05:40, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Further to Yonatanh's previous message, the following talk took place between him and me (Piolinfax) some days later in our respective talk pages. They can be checked here and here. I leave this here for future reference--Piolinfax 19:33, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the warning, Yonatanh. Anyway, I advise you to first check the user pages of the users to be warned in the future. In my case, if you had done it, you would have seen where I am usually to be found. If you quickly check my contributions here, you can see in a sec that my being out of Commons for months it is not unusual.

I do not think the picture was unsourced. I would say that the necessary explanations about the pic's origin and status were clearly stated in the page now in limbo, both in English and in Spanish, but, given the fact it is now deleted and consequently I have no access to it, I may be wrong. If you happen to be a sysop here, please check it for me in the deletion log. The pic was uploaded before the systematic tagging became sort of compulsory. If the information required is in the history of the page, I guess that anybody reading it could have added the proper templates before having to resort to bureaucratic, time consuming, speedy deletion.

The picture was taken by Nicolás Pérez. Many of his pictures are in Commnos (here is one) most of them uploaded by User:Lourdes Cardenal. It was created to be placed in Commons. The licence should be the same as the one in the sample picture link above. I would appreciate if it is restored asap together with its full history record. I will add the necessary taggings if nobody else, after reading the information in it, does it before. Should any relevant events, problems or questions arise, please leave me a message in this user talk page. Thank you. --Piolinfax 01:03, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I usually actually check the user talk page and if it's a redirect to another project I'll go to that project and leave the message there (so you might wanna redirect the talk page to this one) but when going through a lot of pictures, we don't really have the time to check every user page in the hope that one or two out of a hundred will have a link to the project where they are most active.
The picture did have a very good description, unfortunately we can't just trust users who say someone else took the picture and it's under the GFDL. We often get users who just find pictures online and say taken by <insert famous photographer's name> and mark it as GFDL. Is Nicolás Pérez active on any project and if so could you give me his username and if not, is it possible to get him to send an e-mail to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org allowing the use of any photos he took (or if there's a specific list, that's good to) on commons? Thanks and I'd appreciate your response on my commons talk page as obviously I am not active on this project. Yonatan 09:34 7 abr 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your message and sorry if I sounded a bit annoyed in my previous message. It was quite late at night and, for a series of reasons, it was not the best moment for me to find such a message. I am a sysop as well and I know that sometimes there are too many things to do in the wikis, so please accept my sincere apologies. I thought of placing a direct link in my user talk page as you advise but I was too tired and wanted to do sth else first. I'll do it in a moment.

I do not think Nicolás is active in any Wikimedia projects. He is Lourdes Cardenal's husband. He took the picture for me after I discovered the metal sign by chance in my city and mentioned it to Lourdes. Lourdes is active in several wikis. She speaks Spanish and French. I will leave a message in her es.wikipedia user talk page to see how can we mend all this.--Piolinfax 21:22, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I restored it in the meantime. Yonatan 21:32 7 abr 2007 (UTC)

I left the message but I have just learnt that she is on holiday for a week (on top of her talk page one can read Wikivacaciones de unos 8 días a partir del jueves día 5 de abril., i.e. "Wikiholiday of approximately 8 days starting on 5th April") so the permission may be delayed a few days. --Piolinfax 22:44, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I changed the no permission tag so it shows as if it was added on April 12 so it won't be deleted until the 19th at the very least. Yonatan 22:47 7 abr 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for temporarily restoring the file and changing the tag :) --Piolinfax 18:31, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Yonatanh. Nicolás Pérez created an account in Commons recently, here. He has not written anything in his user page, though. I told him in his user talk page that probably the best thing he could do was leaving a statement there giving permission for his many pics downloaded by Lourdes, me and maybe others to be used here in Commons. Last time I wrote you, I forgot to mention this picture he took of both of Lourdes and me some years ago when we met for first time. In the text below the picture that can be found here, I already mention that Nicolás (no surname, though) had taken it (gentileza de = courtesy of). That page was created in w:es:Wiktipedia:Café the same day and then moved to its current location by Sabbut. You can check the history log. Shortly after our meeting ended, Lourdes and I spent some minutes looking for the metal sign I had previously discovered by chance (we were near the spot). Some days or weeks later she sent me the picture by e-mail. I am not sure if I uploaded it first in es.wikipedia and then in Commons or I directly put it here first. I am telling you all this to dispel any suspicion that that user account could be a sockpuppet. Regards --Piolinfax 15:13, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Don't worry, I'm not that paranoid, I believe you. ;) Yonatan 16:09 14 abr 2007 (UTC)

I am not branding you a paranoiac, of course . I was just taking advantage of some facts relating to my relationship with Nicolás in order to make it clean and clear in general. Now it is written and I can link my explanation to the text above should some new doubts on the issue arise. As soon as Nicolás give his permission (he and Lourdes are now once again out for the week-end ... lucky lot!) I will let you know. Thanx! --Piolinfax 18:27, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Nicolás finally added his permission in his user page. I know you know some Spanish but I will translate it anyway. It says:

  • «My name is Nicolás Pérez. I am the author of some photos, maps and charts that were uploaded to this project by the users Lourdes y Piolinfax. I grant the GFDL to all these pictures and pieces. I also fully hand over all their rights to these two users, under the same licence, every time they upload in my name any material created by me.»

I have linked the picture to Nicolás' user page but I have not removed the warning. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks and regards. :) --Piolinfax 23:53, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Es muy bien, gracias. ;) Yonatan 23:58 17 abr 2007 (UTC)

Message to 555/Lugusto (en español) & to MECU (in English)[edit]

--Piolinfax (Tell me) 02:21, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

MECU: If you go to my user page in Commons you will find at the bottom of the page a bunch of red links: they are images that you deleted on 11th of this month. I was warned about only one page but 10 were deleted. I do not know if that was your decission or Lugusto/555, the user who added the warning template(s), just told me part of the whole plan. I would appreciate if you explain that to me. I have to add that Lugusto/555 left a message in this very page for me, ignoring the message and the link on top of it. I discovered the message 11 days after the files were deleted by you and he has not edited here since 17th June. Now the pictures have been erased for longer than two weeks. I think it is fair that you or Lugusto/555 restore all of them together with their full history and let me know →HERE← when are they due to be deleted if no permission is provided on time. I will answer in your user page in Commons but it may take me a while to do so because I do not have access to the internet whenever I like. Something similar already happened before, you can read the talk about it in this very page above. Since that happened, I added to my talk page a warning about where to find me here (before that it only was in my user page) but sadly and clearly to no avail. Lately, I often do not have it very easy to get to the internet, so all these explanations and al that short-sighted in general and personally blind bureaucracy make things even harder. --Piolinfax (Tell me) 02:21, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Writing at this time only in Portuguese because I'm so much sleepy to write something that makes sense on English (and because the user, as spanish-speaker, is able to understand my message):
Lugusto 03:47, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
I don't speak Portuguese but I see some things about permissions and sending an e-mail which appear to be the correct response, as I looked at the first image which I would say I deleted because of the "no permission" tag. I don't think there's anything else for me to do here. If the permissions E-mail comes in to OTRS in English I can process them and restore the image(s), but I can't process them if they are in Portuguese. I'm sorry the images were deleted, but hopefully we get this all cleared up. MECUtalk 12:43, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Image:El_cascabel_al_león.gif[edit]

Image deletion warning Image:El_cascabel_al_león.gif has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file.
In all cases, please do not take the deletion request personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

Image:Cerro_Espiritu_Santo_1999.jpg[edit]

Hi, LX. According to this history log you deleted this file because it had no license. According to this and this she was never warned about it. As she did not have a link here to her usual page in es.Wikipedia then, I can understand that you did not left a message in es.wiki, however you should have given her a warning in he user page here, even if her contributions in Commons are not many. She is the author of the picture and she would like the picture to be restored in order to tag it with the suitable license. Could you please do it and let her know here? Thanks. --Piolinfax (Tell me) 10:45, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

If the user tagging the image with {{Own work}} did not notify the uploader as the template instructs, that's unfortunate, but uploaders are told at the time of uploading that images without licenses may be deleted without further notice. The image had been tagged as missing a license since the day after it was uploaded in October 2005. That's more than 19 months to notice the problem. The user also failed to add source information to other uploads despite being given notice.
Nevertheless, I have restored the image, tagged it with {{Nld}} and notified their user talk page here on Commons. (As a matter of principle, I don't copy Commons talk page templates to other projects to accommodate users who don't wish to discuss Commons-related issues on Commons, as this requires a lot of manual work and re-linking; if they don't want to monitor their Commons talk page, they can simply tick a box to activate e-mail notifications in their preferences.) The image will be deleted again unless licensing information is supplied within seven days. LX (talk, contribs) 12:40, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Thanx LX :). I registered in Commons 3 or 4 months after its creation and I am not totally sure that 10 months later (around October 2005) uploaders were told at the time of uploading that images without licenses might be deleted without further notice but I am quite sure that not such a notice was provided in Spanish those days. Catibel knows some English but she is not fluent with it, that is why I offered myself to let you know about her pic.
I have let Catibel know about the restored pic (probably she would have seen it anyway now but just in case) and hopefully she will add the license soon. Please notice that no Commons sysop needs copy Commons talk page templates to other projects; a short message and/or a link to the relevant page already tagged would do the trick... that procedure is not for discussion but for simple and basic notification. Anyway I am not especially surprised because unfortunately, it seems to be a common procedure in a big part of the few Commons sysops I know. I am a sysop myself and I know about the pressures and problems of it but as a matter of principle I would never delete anything without a previous, proper warning (other than vandalisms and obvious copyright violations, of course), regardless any previous set warnings the user might have come across. Anyway, thanks once again for rstoring the photo and for your time --Piolinfax (Tell me) 15:28, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
