This template takes as parameter an NIAH record number and maps it to the two-letter code of the corresponding planning authority. This two-letter code is unfortunately required in extension to the NIAH record number to access the corresponding webpage at buildingsofireland.ie. The mapping corresponds to the NIAH database as of 20 July 2023. Example: {{NIAH/Planning Authority|50070269}} is mapped to DU. See {{NIAH}} for more information.

This is the complete set of two-letter codes currently in use (in alphabetic order): CC (Cork City), CL (Clare), CO (Cork County), CV (Cavan), CW (Carlow), DG (Donegal), DU (Dublin City), FI (Fingal), GA (Galway), KD (Kildare), KE (Kerry), KK (Kilkenny), LA (Laois), LC (Limerick), LE (Leitrim), LF (Longford), LH (Louth), LI (Limerick City), MA (Mayo), ME (Meath), MO (Monaghan), OF (Offaly), RO (Roscommon), SC (South Dublin County), SL (Sligo), TN (Tipperary North), TS (Tipperary South), WA (Waterford), WI (Wicklow), WM (Westmeath), and WX (Wexford).

As the record numbers of County Cork and Cork City are intermixed, this case is delegated to the {{NIAH/Planning Authority/Cork}} template.
