Following on from the eight pre-production prototypes built in 2011/2, the first of production buses entered service in June 2013, with the conversion of route 24. Their fleetnumbers began at LT9, continuing the class specific LT series began with the prototypes. With the exception of 4 early buses (LT10/11/12/16), they were registered in the class specific LTZ series (the four early buses were also subsequently re-registered into this series). The pre-production prototypes and first production buses featured an engine built to the Euro V European emission standard. Subsequent gaps in the fleetnumber/registration series for the production buses are due to the emergence in 2014 of the Euro VI prototypes - production buses switched to the Euro VI standard from LT273 onwards.
