MediaWiki:Colon forms part of the MediaWiki interface and can only be edited by administrators, stewards and interface editors.
To request a change to MediaWiki:Colon, add {{Edit request}} to this talk page, followed by a description of your request.
This is used in localisation. Some languages, or at least one: (fr), place a space before the colon.

Should apperently redirect to MediaWiki:Colon-separator. But that one behaves strangely:

a{{int:Colon-separator}}b
->a
b

Works fine when I use my default interface language (French) but with uselang=en, I gets broken up into two lines. --Zolo (talk) 08:27, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This:

a{{int:Colon-separator}}b

gives:

a

b

Not sure why, but the software consider it a colon at a new line. Anyhow, it will be fixed if content of MediaWiki:Colon-separator be replaced with : --Z 10:23, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but it does not work (or perhaps, it just needs some times to update..). --Zolo (talk) 10:45, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It works for me (clear cache) --Z 10:50, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It works now, I had cleared the cache but I guess that was some lag server side too. --Zolo (talk) 11:16, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This change is causing problems, specifically with the account sign-up form. Kaldari (talk) 17:41, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I deleted the override, and now it looks like the weird newline behavior has returned for the int: uses :( Kaldari (talk) 17:45, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
