Nederlands: Mijn wereldbeeld is wel dat er allerlei manieren van existeren en diverse niveaus van bewustzijn zijn. Ik geloof niet dat wat wij in ons alledaagse bewustzijn ervaren het allerhoogste is. Dat is voor mij ook op logische gronden onaannemelijk. Waarom zou het bij ons ophouden? Ik kan mij voorstellen dat, zoals er niveaus onder ons alledaagse bewustzijn of onder onze existentie zijn, er ook niveaus boven de onze zijn. En dat wij afkomstig zijn uit een wereld die de onze omvat, en waarin je weer terugkeert na de dood." [1]
Andreas Burnier is een van de grote denkers die Nederland gekend heeft. Haar gedachten over antroposofie, filosofie, mystiek en ethiek waren een inspiratie voor vele en stuitte andere soms tegen de borst. Burnier ging de polemiek over talloze onderwerpen niet uit de weg, maar toonde zich ook twijfelend en relativerend. Niet alleen Westerse denkers en filosofen, maar ook de Oosterse filosofie beïnvloedde haar denken over spiritualiteit en het hogere. Voor een keer brengen wij de Plato-club weer samen. Het gezelschap dat Andreas Burnier op haar vijftigste oprichtte, dat bestond uit zeven jonge mannen die onder haar inspiratie filosofische, psychologische en literaire werken bestudeerden. We spreken met Oek de Jong, Chris Rutenfrans en Willem-Jan Otten, onder leiding van Yoeri Albrecht over Burniers opvattingen en gedachten over de kosmos."
