Description
English: Hanging of provost Hans de Greef, alias Spell ("Spell") or Spelleken, Brussels, 11 February 1570, on behalf of Fernando Álvarez de Toledo, 3rd Duke of Alba, with the sentence on his breast. Left: a collaborator is being scourged. Right: Spell takes his leave of another collaborator, who is bound at a stake. Latin text:
