Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Piano Improvising: 'Blue Monk' (2nd Chorus) in 'Blue Monk' Educational series
Blue Monk Main melody & Seven-tenth accompanyment JMC, Han
was A self-developed & learnt & Exercising Version developping from both Ray d’Inverno 's Teaching version and Thelonious Monk's original one on and for the usage of an educational platform - Future Learn.
This sound file was self-made as the second chorus of 'Blue Monk' (Thelonious Monk) following two educational series - TAWTUTB "Things Ain't What They Used To Be" ( Mercer Ellington) and Now's The Time' (Charlie Parker) created by myself.
The main piano technique of improvisation intensively applied and trained was a imitation-improvisation, according to the 1st and 2nd motives of Chromatic scale (Wikipedia introduction: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromatic_scale) in 'Blue Monk'. I thought I had applied as many ways of Chromatic scale and as hard as I knew into this creation without the help of notation, including the reverse scale-running by doubling hands in the same time... Caused by the limited time and energy, the first draft was a little bit rough in my mind; but the structure with 5 sessions in the reasonability can be heard clearly. It is like a piece of etude for fingering training of Chromatic scale in piano education, but also with a main theme in terms of the description of a funny little blue monk's daytime dreams, humour behaviours and life impressions. I thought I should up-grade its hands' techniques by frequently training my own hands in a soon while. Jason M. C., Han (talk) 14:50, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
