Meeting Time on Saturday?

Hi Guys, I'm Matthew the local guide. Thanks for coming today. I've heard people requesting to meet at 6pm tomorrow so we can start early & end earlier. What do you all think?--Mleemy (talk) 16:44, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Sorry folks, tried to meet you yesterday at Central, waited for almost one hour, then left (the queue at the Peak Tram was simply to long for waiting in the humid heat). Today I left my walking shoes at the hotel for pick up after the conference, planning for 7.15 pm. Won't make it to the earlier meeting time therefore. Places to shoot

Date for the photowikimeetup

Hello,

We are already a bunch of people, so we should definitely meet and start the coordination. I propose to organize it on Friday, June 9th, and, in case there is still interested people, we could carry-on one day later. Why the 9th? I guess that the 7th is too early and not everybody will be available yet, and in the evening of June 8th takes place the welcome party from 6 - 9 p.m, see schedule. On Friday and Saturday the official schedule ends at 5:30 p.m. and so that there would be plenty of time to go out and have both nice pictures with daylight and at night. What do you think?. I am also leaving on the 12th. I guess, that there are not so many options actually, and looking at the official schedule I still think that the best date overall would be Friday for a first stage and Saturday for a second one, if needed. On the 11th occurs the same like on the 8th, but in this case with the closing party from 18:30 to midnight. Time to make a concrete proposal

So, time is running out fast and I think that it is time to tie things.

• When: I propose to meet on Friday at 7 p.m. (the official program ends at 5:30), which is sunset time
• Where: in the lobby of the Jockey Club Auditorium. We should leave latest 7:15 p.m.
• Tour: we take the Star Ferry over to Hong Kong Island to enjoy the view and take pictures from the Victoria peak of the skyline and the harbour
• On Saturday, as proposed by Dschwen, we can go to the markets, which one do you mean Dschwen? In Kowloon? Poco² 22:11, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

  • One remark I'd like to make is that the HK skyline from Victoria peak has been photographed a lot. We'd be replicating other peoples shots (we even had great FPs of that view IIRC).
