Presenter/workshop leader[edit]

I could present/lead multiple of the suggested workshops and discussions. Should I add that to the proposed sessions? Ter-burg (talk) 08:17, 19 August 2017 (UTC) Ter-burg (talk) 08:17, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Ter-burg: Yes, please! --Frank Schulenburg (talk) 14:50, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Where[edit]

Sorry if I missed it on the page, but where is this? PumpkinSky talk 00:06, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Pumpkin. Thank you for pointing that out.It is still undecided. I added a new section to the page. Feel free to add your requests and ideas. --Matthias Süßen (talk) 07:46, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If i remember correctly, Frank proposed to organize this in Iceland, i don't see a need to change that. --Ailura (talk) 14:48, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am open to a better proposal if that's what most people agree on. I enjoyed Iceland a lot, though. Poco2 16:18, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not a bad idea, will split the difference between American and European users. Unfortunately this leaves out everyone on the other side of the globe but Iceland is probably the closest country to the center of mass of everyone here. -- King of 01:45, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well, rather in the middle is Greenland, and we have almost nothing from that natural paradise...--Poco2 16:59, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
A point is, that Flights with WOW Air from America and Europe to Iceland are relatively cheap. --Ralf Roleček 19:47, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I like the Iceland idea, but someone had a good point at the Wikimania meeting -- none of us live in Iceland, which can make planning/coordinating difficult. Greenland would be interesting, but a great deal more expensive than Iceland, I think (flights, travel once there, lodging, etc.). — Rhododendrites talk17:53, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have options where I could help, Brazil, Venezuela and Canada. What do you think? --The Photographer 18:32, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Commons Conference 2018[edit]

Why, why, why, is this separate from (and not even referencing) Commons:Commons Conference 2018? - Jmabel ! talk 14:49, 27 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Because this is not a Conference. And the reference is at the beginning of both project pages. --Ailura (talk) 12:21, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Declined grant[edit]

Hello. For anyone who's unaware, the grant request for this meetup has been declined. From a Commons admin's perspective, I'm not too sure on what should/will happen to this Commons-namespace page (i.e. if it will be deleted) - in my personal opinion this should have been a subpage of the Commons Photographers User Group page on Meta. Cheers, Rehman 06:59, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe an official update on the status of the whole event would help a lot. --MB-one (talk) 00:48, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid this user group is already dead bevor it has started. There is no cognizable activity in this more than a year. (Wearing T-Shirts at Wikimania and having a little photo walk there is no such action for me.) --Stepro (talk) 02:37, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
