@RZuo: The issue with "{{Special:PrefixIndex/{{FULLPAGENAME}}/}}" line of code was that once the page like Commons:Photo challenge/2023 - April - Baby farm animals was transcluded to Commons:Photo challenge page than we would get {{Special:PrefixIndex/Commons:Photo challenge/}} which looks like:

That is what I am trying to avoid from showing on Commons:Photo challenge page. Maybe you need to dress it in <noinclude></noinclude> tags, ofr something but this code does not work as is, and I am not sure what is it for. I guess I have never seen it actually working as designed. --Jarekt (talk) 01:44, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Jarekt when you create a new page, do you copy paste or subst the template? RZuo (talk) 06:19, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@RZuo: , I cut and paste content of Commons:Photo challenge/yyyy - Month - Title to a new page like Commons:Photo challenge/2023 - April - Baby farm animals, which is then transcluded to Commons:Photo_challenge/Submitting which is permanently transcluded at Commons:Photo_challenge. --Jarekt (talk) 02:55, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jarekt it's just my lazy way of adding links to the subpages, so that we can go to the result pages directly from the gallery. there're different ways of adding the links. i guess as you suggest noinclude is the best solution. RZuo (talk) 14:03, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jarekt i changed it to be substituted. also, if you install en:User:Nardog/CopyCodeBlock.js or User:RZuo/CopyCodeBlock.js, you can one click copy the whole template. :) RZuo (talk) 08:39, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
