Organisational accounts[edit]

Just curious but the text currently reads "Don't use the organisation's name as your user name. Accounts should not be shared between more than one individual, so the name of a company name or other organisation is not a suitable user name. Your user name may include the organisation's name, but it should identify you as an individual using your name or nickname. If you have already created an account, you can request a rename." however accounts like that of the Swiss National Library among many others exist, are these accounts not blocked because they were grandfathered in before this policy took effect, or something? I am not advocating anyone to block that account as it is one of the largest and most important direct donors of content by any institution to Wikimedia Commons and losing them would be a major loss for the project. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 09:03, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"This policy" is not a policy; it says so right at the top. I explained the reasons such user names are a bad idea at Commons talk:Guidance for paid editors/Initial discussion (specifically in the comment I made at 18:03, 27 June 2014). Case in point: Swiss National Library is blocked on English and Italian Wikipedia. LX (talk, contribs) 19:12, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
