Berne convention: when?[edit]

I says at w:en:Berne Convention#Adoption and implementation: "The first version of the Berne Convention treaty was signed on 9 September 1886, by Belgium, France, Germany, Haiti, Italy, Liberia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, and the United Kingdom. They ratified it on 5 September 1887."

And the 1929 law of Vatican City states:

e) [sic, it should be "c)" but the OCR failed] la legislazione del Regno d'Italia vigente come sopra, compresi i regolamenti, ed i trattati ratificati dal Regno d'Italia fino all'entrata in vigore della presente e le norme di esecuzione dei trattati medesimi, salva adesione, a suo tempo, a questi ultimi da parte della Città del Vaticano, concernenti :

[...]
2) la proprietà artistica e letteraria

[...]
Nei rapporti fra la Città del Vaticano e il Regno d'Italia nelle materie suindicate sono salve le speciali convenzioni, che vengano stipulate, le quali, se del caso, varranno in deroga alle norme sopra provvisoriamente richiamate.

In 1960, John XXIII had to abrogate this section 2) in order to change the copyright law of Vatican City.

My question is as follow: since Italy had joined the Berne convention in 1887, and since Vatican City follows the Italian law on copyright since 1929, why is the Vatican City marked has having joined the Berne convention on "12 September 1935"? Why is the WIPO stating this? Veverve (talk) 18:51, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
