Peraturan
- Peraturan 1: Pengkarya yang mengunggah gambar harus memiliki hak cipta sendiri.
- Peraturan 2: Gambar harus diunggah dalam periode waktu yang ditetapkan dimulai 1 Februari sampai 31 Maret. Meskipun media itu diambil di luar periode waktu tersebut, anda bisa memasukkan tanggal tersebut, bahkan foto bersejarah sekalipun (selagi anda memiliki hak cipta terhadap foto tersebut), namun haruslah diunggah ketika periode kompetisi.
- Peraturan 3: Keseluruhan keikutsertaan harus di bawah lisensi bebas hak cipta, atau dilepaskan ke domain publik. Lisensi utama yang digunakan oleh pengunggah adalah Creative Commons Atribusi/Berbagi Serupa; 4.0 Internasional (CC BY-SA 4.0).
- Peraturan 4: Seluruh gambar yang baik harus memiliki identifikasi. Identifikasi dilakukan dengan menambah penanda {{Wiki Loves Folklore 2023}}. Penanda ini dimasukkan secara otomatis ketika peserta menggunakan pranala pengunggahan khusus dengan tombol biru yang ada pada layar utama kompetisi.
- Peraturan 5: Gambar yang memiliki kaitan dengan daftar kategori yang disediakan adalah termasuk layak dipertandingkan.
- Peraturan 6: Peserta harus mengaktifkan surel pada Wikimedia Commons agar dapat dihubungi jika gambar mereka dipilih untuk urusan hadiah.
Catatan untuk video
Media lain, seperti berkas suara dan video, dipersilahkan. Untuk video, silahkan kirim berkas menggunakan format berikut: .ogg .ogv .webm .
- Due to complex intellectual property rights issues, Wikimedia Commons can not accept video content that is submitted in any other format. A helpful 'how to' guide on how to convert video media into these formats can be found here on Wikimedia Commons. It is suggested that you upload video content one video at a time.
- Please note: Images uploaded on Wikimedia Commons must be under Commons scope. Out of scope images can be deleted without notice. Copyright violations and Vandalism will be strictly dealt with and can even lead a block. Kindly read the FAQ page for further useful information on this contest.
Ineligibility
- Photographs that are already on Commons (this means re-uploading is not allowed).
- As the images will be hosted on Wikimedia Commons, all entries must fall within Commons scope. Any that do not will be disqualified and may be deleted without notice.
- Images with watermarks, timestamps or image credits on the picture itself or any other kind of editing which associates the image with the uploader are not eligible.
- Pornographic images and videos are not accepted in this contest.
Judging criteria
The judging will be done by a panel of international Wikipedians, professional photographers and subject specialists, based of thumb rules of photography and as well as the community standards.
- A good photo has a good story to tell.
- A good photo removes all unnecessary distractions from the chief element, so that the latter is not out of the focus.
- Potential usefulness and overall value of the image (including its licensing) to the Wikimedia projects.
- Technical quality – Image parameters such as focus, lighting, saturation, ISO etc. will be taken into consideration.
The jury will judge individual entries based on the following criteria:
- Technical quality
- Originality
- Potential usefulness and overall value of the image (including its licensing) to the Wikimedia projects.
