First feedback on pictures

Hi Domob. I quite like the first one and I'd probably support it at FPC. The church interior is quite noisy and dark. The bar for church interiors is pretty high here so I don't think it's quite FP level. The gate is nice but there are too many things in the shadow for my taste - definitely a QI though, just make sure that the gate is straight. It looks a bit tilted to me. Rest of the images are nice and I think they shouldn't have a problem to pass as QI. Just nominate them and you'll see - the worst thing that can happen is they'll get declined and you'll get feedback how to further improve your skills :) --Podzemnik (talk) 21:30, 30 June 2019 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I've followed the QI process a bit, and think I got already some feeling for the criteria. I'll think about nominating FPs later on, after getting QI feedback on some more pictures. Potential FP?

I recently got an image from Sao Paulo State Government Flickr stream, and was impressed by one of these images. May anyone more experienced examine this image for possibility for FP? Many thanks.廣九直通車 (talk) 12:42, 30 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi 廣九直通車. It's quite a nice photo but I don't find it that interesting for FP. 1/4 of the image contains concrete that is quite boring to look at. Also, I'm quite annoyed with the street lamp in the background that cuts the photo. Lens flares don't help the photo to be better either. You can still try to nominate it though - thousand people have a thousand different tastes :) --Podzemnik (talk) 21:41, 30 June 2019 (UTC)

Are this pictures FP level?

Hi Neptuul. The first picture with the clouds is quite dramatic but the foreground is not very interesting. The second picture certainly has encyclopedic value but photography wise is a bit flat. I wouldn't know that it's a burnt forest if I didn't read the description. What could work better is eg. close-up of a burnt tree with the rest of the forest in the background or something like that. At FP, you want to strike people at first sight, you want to give them some kind of visually interesting thing that they would say woooow right away. --Podzemnik (talk) 21:35, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
