履歴の統合

Shortcut

ほとんどの利用者はページの移動機能を利用できるのに、カット&ペーストを介して実行した利用者とは、この機能を知らないか、移動機能がうまくいかなかった（移動先に問題があるなど）、または手伝ってもらうのに管理者伝言板で頼めばよいと知らなかった場合が想定されます。

ファイルやページをカット&ペーストで移動した場合、ページの履歴が分断して2件以上の個別のページに散ってしまいます。これは非常によろしくない状態で、というのも著作権の面でも履歴とコンテンツは一体にしておく必要があります。 解決策はほとんどの状況で管理者によりページの履歴を統合することです。

管理者向けの説明
# 一時的に NewPage を削除
  1. 元のページOldPageを新規のページNewPageへ移動するには、移動機能を使います。(対象がファイルの場合、新しいタブでMove & Replace リンクを開く、もしくは 自分の個人設定を開き、AjaxQuickDelete を無効にします。) (すると旧来の編集履歴は新しいページへ移ります。)
  2. 移動先ページNewPageを削除から回復するには：
    1. ページ/ファイルのページ履歴を閲覧する
    2. “View or restore … deleted edits?” ボタンを押し、次に
    3. 「Restore!」ボタンを押す。(これで新規ページのページ履歴は削除前の履歴と削除後の履歴が併存し、そこに移動ツールが追加した履歴として、削除前のページOldPageの最新版の更新履歴の複写が含まれます。)
  3. この段階で新規ページNewPageは“#REDIRECT NewPage”の文字列のみ表示します (変更前のページOldPageが直近の更新版がリダイレクトだったとして、移動先ページNewPageは移動前ページOldPageの最終更新版を表示します。) 手順のしめくくりとして差し戻し (あるいは更新削除 RevisionDelete) により、移動直前の変更後ページNewPageの最新版に戻します。

履歴の統合により、2ページのページ履歴の統合を自動化します。


履歴の分割

時間の経過とともに、ページあるいはファイルは最初に想定された単一の主題から、全く異なる主題に変わっていくことがあります。通常は正しい手順としてページ移動あるいはファイルを改変し、ファイル名をわずかに変更して再アップロードするべきです。 しかしながら、利用者がこれらの手続きを知らず、特定のページあるいはファイルの主題を (元の主題を上書きして) 変更しようとすることがあります。 もしそういう編集直後に検出できないと、新規にあてがわれた主題がたちまちまとまった量のページ履歴を積み上げてしまう可能性があります。

管理者向けの説明
# (元の題名の) ページ/ファイルを一時的に削除
  1. 過去版を主題が変更された直前まで復原します (変更した時の版は残します) 。
  2. 復原した版 (古い主題) を新しい名前のページに移動します (リダイレクトを伴わない移動)(対象がファイルの場合は新しいタブでMove & Replace リンクを開く、もしくはご自分の個人設定を開きAjaxQuickDelete を無効にします。)
    • 移動したい新規ファイル名のファイルもしくはページがすでに存在しそこへ履歴の統合を希望する場合：
    a) ファイル移動の準備として“delete the existing article” を選択。
    b) 新ファイル名の削除された版を復原。
  3. 新ファイル名の新規履歴を復原 (元ファイルのものとして存在するもの)。

ページ履歴の統合も、もちろんこの方法で元に戻せます。

統合もしくは分割を依頼する

統合もしくは分割を依頼する場合、以下のテンプレートに記入して このページの最下部に追加します。 注意点：変更前後のどちらのファイルも同じ形式であることを確認します。3点以上のファイルの統合は、場合によって可能です。

  • 統合するには、FILE/PAGE 2を変更して FILE/PAGE 1のコンテンツを統合させたい先のファイル名に置き換えます。

  • Reason: File:Nickelodeon 2023 logo.svg uploaded in April 2023 has a smaller file size (512 x 390 px; 5 KB), had a public domain license, and more widely used file by many Wikipedians. Meanwhile, File:NICK-2023.svg uploaded by a suspected sockpuppet Olliex2b in May this year has a bigger file size (1,157 x 828 px; 21 KB), a duplicate of previously-uploaded file with same object, and have purported CC0 license which in fact shouldn't be own work. Given that File:Nickelodeon 2023 logo.svg had more widely used than the File:NICK-2023.svg, has a smaller file size, and has more obvious license for the former, the former should be merge with the latter, using smaller file size for two combined files, and renaming the latter files as File:Nickelodeon 2023 logo.svg as a single file for both.

File:BT Group logo.svg → File:BT logo 2019.svg

  • Reason: File:BT Group logo.svg that uploaded in 2021 by Wdwdbot (which is transfer from German Wikipedia file that uploaded by Marsupilami in 2020) is essentially a duplicate of File:BT logo 2019.svg that uploaded in October 2019, despite having different file size for each other (999 x 999 (1 KB) for the latter and 768 x 768 (2 KB) for the former). In reality, this file that the user uploaded is essentially a duplicate of File:Comcast logo.svg that was uploaded by the same user on 29 January 2024.     You are inattentive because the file uploaded as Comcast.svg, which is currently used on corporate.comcast.com and was first seen on January 11, 2024 in a post on the Comcast account at Facebook, has a highlight on the peacock symbol, then as the Comcast logo.svg file was first spotted in January on corporate.comcast.com, and is now hosted on cmcsa.com, it has no proper glare on the peacock symbol and is a pure gradient. It is absolutely unclear to me why you mean that both files are identical.
