Ships
- Could someone kindly donate a photo of MV Camilla Desgagnés to be used in the Wikipedia article of MV Camilla Desgagnés. (You can most easily meet her at her home port Montreal or in the area of Gulf of St. Lawrence or St. Lawrence River.) --Sivullinen (talk) 22:14, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
Miscellaneous
- A free/GPL image of jet engine snow blower. Examples of unknown copyright status include [1] and [2]. Photo is for relevant Wikipedia articles. Zarnivop (talk) 00:19, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- A free image of the Discworld-esque flat earth - you know, the world balanced on four elephants standing on the back of a turtle. Happy-melon 10:13, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- This image[dead link] apparently comes from a book by Camille Flammarion (possibly the same one as the famous Flammarion woodcut), and is presumably PD. We could probably use the poster (per Bridgeman v. Corel), but it would be better to find the original source. This one looks even nicer, but has no information about the source. There's another very similar image here — it's not quite identical, but the details are similar enough that they're probably based on the same original. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 22:27, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- Googling for the caption suggests that the Flammarion book the first image is from may actually be Histoire du ciel. Also found yet another version of the second image here. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 22:51, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- We need to have some photos of the still existing Maya-Huts in Yucatán or Guatemela. I'm not an expert in loading pictures but if you google, you'll find many of them... Thanks for your help! --ArnoldBetten (talk) 13:00, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
- A vector file of the "Protective Forces" patch seen in this picture [3] for an upcoming WP article. LavaBaron (talk) 18:59, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
Objects
Orders, Medals, and Decorations
- Medal "For Merit in Space Exploration" - It would be nice to have a good photo of the medal
- Order of the October Revolution - It would be nice to have a good photo of the medal
- Soviet Maternity Medal - need good photos of both classes of the medal
Central heating systems
- Photo of an installed gravity furnace (sometimes called an "octopus furnace"), preferably a gas-fired one, of the kind that used to be used in hot-air heating systems in US homes. (For example, the photos at [4] and [5] would work but they are not freely licensed.) Such a photo would be useful for the Forced-air gas article when comparing forced-air and gravity type heating systems. Thanks. --Gazebo (talk) 06:43, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
- Though it is in B&W, I have added the image File:Octopus-style-heating-furnace-Snow-Hill-Maryland-USA.jpg which should satisfy most (if not all) of the request. --Gazebo (talk) 12:13, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
Cigarettes
- Photos of a charring cigarette, called "heat-not-burn" or by brand names like "IQOS".
- Photo of one actually in use
- Photos of sliced-open used/unused refills (the specialized cigarettes, whatever one calls them), similar to the lede image in en:filter cigarette, or any other shots showing how the technology works
- As most of the existing images are provided by paid editors, I would prefer one provided by someone without a conflict of interest. It would also be nice to have photos that avoid the standard nicotine-advertising tropes; for instance, not a clinically-clean shot with little to no trace of actual smoke (which misrepresents the product), or, say, a glamourous shot of a young and healthy model in a setting and clothing that suggest high social status, high technology, strong social connections and rebellious independence (which is highly unrepresentative of actual users). HLHJ (talk) 05:31, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- Photo of the ventilation holes in a en:Ventilated cigarette (sold as "light" cigarettes). The holes are in the paper in the brownish section at the mouth end. HLHJ (talk) 04:10, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
Furniture
Kitchen
- The Ohio Uni ref in the article has a variety of PD images of pea shellers, from patents, and cites them by (presumably US) patent number. HLHJ (talk) 19:55, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
Personal care
- Various Bic razors. An image of the first Bic disposable razor, which was the first disposable razor in the world, would be useful.
- Various Gillette razors. Many double-edge razors are represented in Category:Gillette razors, but most pre-Mach3 cartridge and disposable razors are not.
Tools
- Could someone kindly provide a photo of the bench vise in the Menelaos Parlamas Museum of Rural Life in Piskopiano, Hersonissos, Crete. This may appear a strange request but the vise has an interesting and rare design of fixed front jaw and moving rear jaw; this kind of design could be quite useful in a bench vise with a large jaw opening. If you can provide the requested picture, please place it into Category:Bench vises. Thanks in advance. --Sivullinen (talk) 22:38, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
- I found a picture where this vise is seen [6] and it seems my memories - and the description above - of the vise weren't quite correct: the front jaw seems to be the one that is moved by the screw but the rear jaw can also be moved in steps to get larger jaw opening. --Sivullinen (talk) 21:23, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
Technology
- Does anyone have pictures of old Commodore computers: Commodore 900, Commodore LCD, Amiga 1500, Amiga 2500, Amiga 3000T?
- Apple Network Server 500/132, 700/150, and 700/200
- Can someone upload a wiring diagram/schematic of a standard Fender Stratocaster (or the low end Starcaster) electric guitar? There is an entire (but very small) category dedicated to the subject here Category:Guitar wiring, and the closest thing i could find was a Les Paul wiring diagram (which is completely different from a Stratocaster's internal wiring) here File:Lespaulwiringdiagram.gif -SGA314 (talk) 18:55, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- Working on a Wikibook on the history of video games, and a number of devices are missing photos. I'm maintaining a current list here. Thanks! --Mbrickn (talk) 23:44, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

- Moravian Eagle: Coat of Arms of Moravia and related moravian historical flag
Hi, I would like to ask you this way, if you have some time, for vectorization of the Coat of Arms of Moravia used from 13th century to 1915, after 1918, resp 1920 till now (in the Great Coat of Arms of the Czech republic): https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staatssymbole_Tschechiens
and the historical flag, please too.
The files to vectorize:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Znak_Moravy.jpg
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Historick%C3%A1_moravsk%C3%A1_vlajka.png
The "difference" with the current SVG for Coat of Arms of Moravia (the same original author of the moravian eagle's graphics (heraldist), it was derived from: Jiří Louda: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ji%C5%99%C3%AD_Louda)
is in the (this time) exact graphics according to the description in the act

Would like a plain-background picture/diagram showing the faces and relative sizes of the five or six most common U.S. coins, similar to File:USDnotes.png but with coins instead of bills.
